“My girlfriend and her family have been dining at Marco's specifically for their all you can eat Dungeness crabs now for years. This was my first time. We made reservations for 6:30 on a Saturday. We finished up shopping a little early and Marco's had no issue seating us prior to our reservation. The feel in the restaurant was what you'd expect from a casual clubhouse vibe. Our server was welcoming, attentive, and very hard working. Constantly making rounds, asking if we needed anything, cleaning tables, running food. She made the experience that much better. As far as the crabs go, they come with garlic bread, fries, and a soup or salad, and you're able to order the crabs cooked in garlic butter, old bay, or both. My girlfriend is the pro and recommended both so that's what I did and they didn't disappoint. The $49.99 price tag on the ayce crabs for their winter months in my opinion is a great value considering other local ayce seafood deals. The crabs were cooked very nicely and were very easy to open. Each leg and cluster produced large, in-tact, succulent pieces of crab. To drink I had a glass of Maker's Mark neat and a draft Yuengling (which you can't really mess up, but the Yuengling was cold and crisp). My gf had a vodka club with a splash of pineapple which was refreshing and wasn't overly sweet. I did not try the garlic bread as I was trying to save as much room as possible for crabs, however the old bay fries were great. The soup of the day was cheeseburger which I chose instead of a salad. I'm hoping it's not an indication of how the rest of their soups are. This was very below average and would make me shy away from ordering soup off of their menu again. With that being said I'm not too worried about the soup impacting my overall experience at Marco's. I was there solely for the crabs and prior to arriving I was not planning on eating anything else. We were told that in the coming months as the colder weather moves out, prices will be going back up to their Spring/Summer prices of $65/person. Definitely get in before then if you're looking for a reasonable price for all you can eat crab“

“Love this place, and the people in it. My go to for Italian food. Fried Calamari is awesome, the pizza cheese steak is good, recently I discover the roast beef with the Au Jus gravy ?.The side of meatball is great too. Basically you won't be disappointed.“

“Bought Wings, and a pizza (specifically a white pizza.) The wings were very good and meaty, the sauce was hot without being overbearing. The wings it should be noted were naked wings. We didn't specify for naked or regular. The pizza was good, and the garlic sauce they put on was excellent. The crust has a nice flavor and it's not too greasy. The only knock I have was the cheese. It's not as stretchy or as tasty as you would expect. That's not to say it was bad just not as good as other shops in the area. This was our first time in.Regardless I'm going back for more!It is under new management, and they have a new expanded menu.“

“Definitely give this place a try!! The food is really good and very consistent. Their pizza is up there with the best of them in the Philly area but I highly recommend trying their calzones and hoagies too. They also have gelato and desserts. I can tell they use high quality ingredients. Also when I go in there the owner is in the kitchen or walking around so you know it’s a family-owned and operated business where they actually care about service. Super clean inside and friendly staff. They also deliver pretty quickly in the area. 1000% recommend!“

“Hands down the best pizza I have ever had in my life. They must have been 20 choices of fresh made pizza, I had 1 slice of Philly cheese steak pizza(yeah right?) and a buffalo chick. Couldn’t get to the buffalo, but I will soon.Pasty crisp crust, fresh cheese, absolutely delicious.“

“Food = Service = Ambiance = Food was great and in keeping with the quintessential South Philly Italian restaurant fare. Our servers were fantastic and very attentive. The dining room was, unfortunately, extremely noisy and it was not conducive to conversation.“

“The service was phenomenal. The food, delicious. Best italian restaurant in Philly, the closest thing I've seen so far to an authentic italian restaurant in Philly (I stayed in Italy for 6 weeks). We got the tiramisu and gelato, and we got the carbonara and pappardelle al ragù. All of it was just so good. I wanna come back again, but I need to save up for it because it was very pricey. But worth it.“

“This restaurant is located on East Passyunk in South Philly. I love the ambiance and service was great. Meat and veggie platter was delicious. The platter also came with pizza dough which was surprisingly really good. I am also currently obsessed with their gnocchi, it has the perfect texture and the sauce was amazing. Will definitely come back!“

“Ok so the cheesesteak is definitely than all other pizza shops. It’s about 11” meat is very juicy and flavorful with lots of melted creamy cheese and the onions were caramelized perfectly. I would absolutely give that steak sandwich a 20 out of 10“

“I enjoyed dining at Her Place, I definitely felt like I was having a meal in someone's home. The restaurant is tiny and every table has a view of the kitchen. I dined by myself so I was placed at one of the two window seats. My back was toward the kitchen and I had to turn around each time the chef was describing the dishes. The menu wasn't something I would have normally chosen for myself, it was very seafood focused but it was all around tasty. The main dish was a quail and morels. My favorites of the night were the chicken liver pate with radishes and homemade Ritz cracker. They really did taste like a Ritz but much elevated. My other favorite of the night was the dessert: the rhubarb, cream cheese semi freddo, and meringue was to absolutely die for. You could really taste the cream cheese. Also notable was the sauce Americaine in the quenelle/lobster dish, I wanted to scoop it up and lick the plate. I see people complaining how it wasn't enough food since you had to share, I didn't have this problem, as I was solo and was able to eat full plates of everything. I enjoyed the final touches at the end, giving out cookies and a bag of Chex Mix. Bravo. I'd maybe come back if I were to travel to Philadelphia again. $120 after tax and tip.“

“I was visiting Philly for the Broad St Run and wanted a pre-race pasta dinner. I had been scrolling through Instagram and found a highlight of The Victor Cafe and it looked delicious. I loved that there was a rich history and thought it was cool that some scenes from Rocky were filmed here. What I missed, though, was that the staff perform opera pieces throughout the service. I'm not familiar with opera but wow wow wow, those arias were incredible. My jaw dropped and my eyes teared more than once. The food was also incredible. I opted for a virgin version of a Paloma that my server suggested, calamari fra diavolo and broccoli rabe. It was the best broccoli rabe that I've ever had. 13/10 recommend visiting The Victor Cafe.“

“Hadn't been in years but glad to have returned. Started with house white wine and a cocktail for hubby. Shared their Caesar salad, then we each had a pasta entre: ravioli with butternut squash and linguin with clams. Also shared a mushrooms side and foccacia. All the food was delicious! Ended with sharing a cannoli and a cappuccino. Overall great experience in a romantic setting (2-person booths in the lower level) with an our wonderful server Rachel.“

“Cozy restaurant with a lot of energy. Hold off on eating the complementary bread because you'll need it for the outstanding mussel appetizer. Another must order is the orecchiette. One of the best pastas I've had in Philadelphia. The lamb shank was just ok. Unfortunately I just recently had it at another Philly restaurant and it was so much better. Barramundi which was a special was a huge disappointment. I've never seen so many things added to a fish dish to overwhelm what I consider to be an amazing fish. This is my second time at this restaurant where the entrees feel short. Stick to the appetizers and pastas. Service was outstanding.“

“The service was excellent. The food was also good, we enjoyed the tasting menu which had some surprising dishes such as the carrot & egg custard. The bread and nduja was also a nice addition. However, we spent over $800 between the two of us with tips included (with the tasting menu priced at $215) which I think is way too overpriced. The wines especially are overpriced, for 150pp I would expect more upscale wines than what was on offered. We ended up going with a Barolo instead which was more reasonable but still $170 for a bottle. For these prices, I would expect Michelin 1 or 2 star quality food, which it wasn't (as nice as our meal was). That said, the service was really good with our waiter being extremely attentive and considerate.“

“The food is delicious at Via Locusta. I'd particularly recommend the agnolotti, which changes seasonally. Service is also good. My only complaint is that I really wish they'd add some sound panels on the ceiling inside to quiet the dining room down. It gets so loud that you can't hear the people across from you. We've generally had better meals outside than in the dining room for that reason.“

“We have been getting take out from here for years but never sat inside to eat. We decided for our 1 year wedding anniversary that we would go here and it did not disappoint! We have always called the gnocchi "pillows of heaven." They are the absolute best! We also had the lamb which just fell off the bone and was so tender. And we definitely recommend the buratta for a starter. You can tell that everything is homemade including the bread. The service is also stellar! The staff is so attentive and so nice. We felt like family the whole meal. It's also a byob which is great to bring your favorite bottle of wine. I can't say enough about this tiny south Philly gem!“

The venue's unique location, impeccable food, and outstanding service make it perfect for an intimate wedding. The guests couldn't stop raving about the food and drinks, which were a huge step above the standard wedding fare. Located in an area of the city close to photo ops, Osteria is gorgeous, especially at night. The staff went above and beyond to ensure everyone had an amazing time, and the dance floor was going off like crazy all night! If you're looking for a unique setting for your wedding, look no further than Osteria.“

“We just had the best meal here! My partner and I had planned on going elsewhere but we got there after 8pm and didn't have a reservation, so the wait was going to be an hour. We walked over to Wm. Mulherin's Sons and they got us a table in about 15 minutes. We proceeded to have one of the best meals I've had in a while! Starters: the octopus was crispy but succulent and the focaccia was pillowy perfection! Cocktails were excellent. The sausage pizza had a wonderful mix of flavors and the crust!! ? I could have eaten the pizza crust on its own, honestly. Thick and chewy on the edges and perfectly done throughout. We also shared a seasonal pasta with ramps, morels, peas, and asparagus, and got the chocolate mousse cake and gelato for dessert, which were heavenly. Our server Jamyl was attentive and warm, and checked in regularly. All in all, a perfect meal in a lovely location!“

“Picture the quintessential neighborhood corner sandwich shop of your dreams - this is it. This is the spot. Found it today and knew at first menu glance it’d be dope. The daily specials (kielbasa & egg sandwich, and Italian melt) were great and already thinking about the next ones I want to try (ex. The Bobby). Slaw, pickle, and Vietnamese iced coffee were great too!The place was happily busy on a sunny Saturday afternoon - line inside but I ordered ahead online since I was walking my dog, and their service was great — I literally stepped inside and within 2 seconds someone came out to greet me, I said I placed order, they said my name and handed me my bag and coffee.I don’t know what we the people of Francisville did to deserve Sandwich Corner Market, but my heart is full (and stomach)(Can you guys maybe make like, a little sandwich sample flight? Like 3 little sliders somehow? I want to try so many at once but can’t be slamming like 3 sandwiches and foresee myself stressing in the future over which 1 sandwich to pick per order)“

“LOVED IT HERE! Truly authentic Italian cooking, with authentic ingredients to purchase. The staff was so friendly and accomodating on their menu. We had to make a slight change in order for a vegetarian, and they had no issues. We tried their breakfast sandwiches & lunch sandwiches, and each bite was jam packed with substance & flavor (I mean, just look at the layers in my photo.) Fresh ingredients, and an overall quaint/bright spot. This would be an awesome place to post up and get some work done, do some people watching, and enjoy delicious food. Not to mention, their baked goods looked out of this world. We wanted to get so much, but I landed on their passion fruit donut, partly because it was the last one left (so I figured something must be good!) And let me tell you, their dough is different. The donut was dense & fluffy at the same time, and their passion fruit flavor was y-u-m-m-y. I can't wait to go back to try more sandwiches and get some grocery shopping done!“

“This is a fabulous local restaurant and if I lived in the neighborhood I would be there at least twice a month. I was hosting some out-of-town visitors and we enjoyed between the three of us, two plates of pasta and a caprese salad and it was more than enough food and we also enjoyed our red and white BYOB wines. Afterwards we went down a block Dirty Frank's on the corner of 13th and Pine for a nightcap which completed a full circle Philadelphia experience.“

“Fiorella is an excellent restaurant. The quality of the food, ambiance, and service lives up to the hype. My only BUT is a reflection on portion sizes, which vary greatly by dish. The ragú could feed a small village. It is a literal cauldron of pasta. The cacio é pepé is also a generous portion. Even the gnocchi, while a smaller dish overall, are jumbo sized and likely filling. Some of the other dishes and specials however are just as pricey but much less substantial. If you are dining as a group, this is not an issue. You can share smaller plates and fill up on ragú. As a solo diner, I wish I was advised in advance as my dish was impeccably prepared, but I left needing more. At least I was in South Philly so I could grab a slice on my way home.“

“We decided to make a reservation to try Anthony's for our anniversary last night and were very pleased! Our waiter, Brandon, was so friendly and made our experience a great one! We were seated right at the time of our reservation in the upstairs section. The restaurant was extremely quiet even with it being crowded. We started with the special strawberry salads. The strawberries were extremely fresh and vinaigrette and Asiago cheese made it very tasty! The complimentary bread and olive oil were very unique. The olive oil was some of the best I've had with a strong olive taste. For entrees, we had the pesto and burrata gnocchi and boar bolognese pasta. They were both AMAZING! We finished with the chocolate chip cake to share. This cake was extremely good as well and I am interested to see if you can buy it from them. We really enjoyed our experience and all of the food! We will definitely be back and tell all our friends about how great it is here!“

“Where do I even start? From top to bottom, start to finish, this place is an absolute gem and a banger! It’s been around forever, I grew up going here and recently came back to the area and knew I had to stop in the see what was new….Ali, one of the owners, has some of the most outstanding customer service skills and his smile and charisma light up when you walk in. Nothing else like it. This guy is straight up awesome!!Omar, the other owner and Ali’s brother is in the back cooking up some of the best food in the area.I got garlic knots, pizza, fries, tenders and mozzarella sticks. The garlic knots are hands down the BEST garlic knots I’ve had in my entire life. No joke. Legit. And my standards are high / picky for garlic knots. They’re fluffy, pillow-like, chewy and PACKED with garlic. Tons of garlic and the texture is PERFECTION. If you like dry overcooked no flavor garlic knots that skimp on garlic, go elsewhere. The pizza is in my Top 2 and I’m very particular about my pizza….fresh, perfectly cooked, ratios of ingredients ideal and not too thin (I hate cracker-like crust pizza. If I wanted that, I’d get a flatbread) it had the perfect texture, chew and nice amount of cheese. Has a very very awesome unique flavor that’s hard to describe that I’ve never tasted before all the way through to the dough and the cheese is FRESH. These guys know what they’re doingOh and by the way, the tenders are hand breaded and house made to perfection. Nice and juicy, melt in your mouth fall apart just picking them up.The mozzarella sticks are also house made and you can tell they are fresh. These guys are charitable too, involved in the community and with donations.Literally everything about this place is amazing from the people to the food. I can’t get over how amazing those garlic knots are. I’m mad because now I have to go back regularly lol.Genovas is the definition of QUALITY!“
