“For the sake of full disclosure I’ve worked with the owners for over twenty years in the television industry. They have brought the same dedication and amazing attention to detail that has resulted in their tremendously successful careers, to their wonderful new restaurant. They have thought of EVERY detail from the whimsical videos playing in the rest rooms to the sugar cubes for your espresso... they have missed nothing. The menu is inventive and perfectly executed... Watermelon Gazpacho?! Whoa! The unique presentation of the Calamari appetizer was wonderful. Bouillabaisse?! You don’t find that as the seafood option very often... what a treat. Others in my group enjoyed perfectly cooked steaks and the slightly smoky Mac & Cheese. Of course the cheese plates are spectacular. This is one of those meals you won’t forget! But wait did I mention the speakeasy downstairs? The perfectly appointed room features an amazing menu of craft cocktails AND six draft beers to choose from... including Ommegang Rare Vos... you simply don’t find that on tap anywhere!! Finally a word about the service. It was impeccable, perfectly attentive without being stuffy. Chris and Ellen have created a destination restaurant!“

“OMG We live in CT and came to NYC for an appt and things. For fun, we went to the farmer's market in Union Square and bought some of your incredible, amazing, delicious, gluten-free brioche buns and we're amazed! We can't wait to get back to The City so we can load up! We'll totally place an order before we come with our empty back packs! I have celiac disease, so it's a huge deal to me and my guy to find such an awesome bun! We're not even huge bread eaters and we think these blow everything else away with or without gluten! “Cold, rainy March night in Chatham, NY. We felt the need to get out for dessert. The People's Pub has the (gas) fireplace and the working kitchen welcoming us for carrot cake with rum cream. Neighbors are at the bar,". Glad we stepped out.“

“Food always consists of plentiful portions served relatively fast. Great for families with kids. Service is pleasant...and there are great views of the Kinderhook creek from the back section. Can be a little noisy at prime meal times when it's crowded- hard on hearing aids...or those with hearing issues. (Off times are much quieter)“

“My pictures don’t do the justice they should. This was a fantastic meal. Local 111 has a small menu and everything is a winner. My wife and I shared the chicories salad and the croquetas. Then I had the fish of the day, which was trout, and she had the chicken which our waiter, Mariusz, said was his favorite. We are definitely coming back here!“

“One of my favorite places to go out. Excellent food, menu & service. Updating March 2024; I miss the guitar player, Steve. The food, menu & service all still excellent, although this Saturday night when we were seated the dining room was full, everyone was finishing their meals and it was noisy. But within 15 20 minutes 2 tables left & it instantly quieted down and the cozy ambiance was back. Have to admit, sometimes we've been that noisy group! It's all good!“

The burger is essentially flawless and the chicken wings will ruin other chicken wings for you for the rest of your days. The thai wings will haunt you. Cant wait to try other things on the menu.
