“Food always consists of plentiful portions served relatively fast. Great for families with kids. Service is pleasant...and there are great views of the Kinderhook creek from the back section. Can be a little noisy at prime meal times when it's crowded- hard on hearing aids...or those with hearing issues. (Off times are much quieter)“

“My husband and I got married here on NYE 12/31/2023 and stayed on site with our family and friends for the weekend. We had an amazing experience during our stay and an even better experience with the Wedding! It is such a unique space with even better service. Henrietta has an amazing eye for decoration and is extremely organized and easy to work with. The food is incredible...actually incredible...and they were flexible with our guests accommodations. “For the sake of full disclosure I’ve worked with the owners for over twenty years in the television industry. They have brought the same dedication and amazing attention to detail that has resulted in their tremendously successful careers, to their wonderful new restaurant. They have thought of EVERY detail from the whimsical videos playing in the rest rooms to the sugar cubes for your espresso... they have missed nothing. The menu is inventive and perfectly executed... Watermelon Gazpacho?! Whoa! The unique presentation of the Calamari appetizer was wonderful. Bouillabaisse?! You don’t find that as the seafood option very often... what a treat. Others in my group enjoyed perfectly cooked steaks and the slightly smoky Mac & Cheese. Of course the cheese plates are spectacular. This is one of those meals you won’t forget! But wait did I mention the speakeasy downstairs? The perfectly appointed room features an amazing menu of craft cocktails AND six draft beers to choose from... including Ommegang Rare Vos... you simply don’t find that on tap anywhere!! Finally a word about the service. It was impeccable, perfectly attentive without being stuffy. Chris and Ellen have created a destination restaurant!“

“I always enjoy my food when I order from here! Always a great experience with Maria and Nikki! Always so nice and accommodating, I served tables for 10 + years at a lot of high end restaurants and they are an awesome example of how service should be, However everytime I order something on Sunday evenings the blonde girl and the brunette girl that work there both have terrible attitudes like they both absolutely hate their jobs, I never see either one of them smile , or take any kind of personal approach to their customers at all, which in my opinion as a someone who worked as a server for so long might result in less tips or even a negative vibe between the server and their table… last night I ordered 2 orders of French fries and asked for some plastic silver wear , the brunette girl looked at me and said! “I guess but I don’t really see why” … maybe because I’m a regular paying customer .. but maybe that’s just me… and another time I placed an order with one of the girls , and asked for my total, and had me wait on the phone for over 5 mins for my total while she stopped and ran her food… something that takes 30 secs took 5 mins…in my personal opinion as a server those two ladies show a big lack of professionalism, I do not recommend Sunday nights when these two girls work! But I absolutely love this place when it’s any other day of the week“

“One of my favorite places to go out. Excellent food, menu & service. Updating March 2024; I miss the guitar player, Steve. The food, menu & service all still excellent, although this Saturday night when we were seated the dining room was full, everyone was finishing their meals and it was noisy. But within 15 20 minutes 2 tables left & it instantly quieted down and the cozy ambiance was back. Have to admit, sometimes we've been that noisy group! It's all good!“

“OMG We live in CT and came to NYC for an appt and things. For fun, we went to the farmer's market in Union Square and bought some of your incredible, amazing, delicious, gluten-free brioche buns and we're amazed! We can't wait to get back to The City so we can load up! We'll totally place an order before we come with our empty back packs! I have celiac disease, so it's a huge deal to me and my guy to find such an awesome bun! We're not even huge bread eaters and we think these blow everything else away with or without gluten!
