“I got to my hotel from the airport around 2 a.m. and was very hungry but I wanted to make sure I ate authentic East Coast style throughout my trip so I started with this lovely joint! I ordered it to be delivered by Uber Eats so I have no comment on what it's like in person. However the food is to die for! The Philly cheese steak sandwich was perfect and melted in my mouth and left me wanting more! I've tried the same sandwich here on the west coast and it is just not the same, just like the pizza. Sorry I don't have pics but I was so hungry and tired that I devoured this thing in one bite and went straight to sleep!“

“I really do not understand the poor reviews and negativity. This place delivers on their promise of quick, convenient affordable food. the location is great for anyone between Hunters Point and the lower part of LIC and they offer "health food" option such as fresh juices, smoothies and salads at a much more reasonable price than the Instagram worthy cafes along Vernon Boulevard. Yes, there are limited options and less fresh ingredients than other places in the area, but this is reflected in the fair pricing. This is a true staple for times when I haven't gone grocery shopping and want something simple that I could easily make at home, but don't wants to :/. The staff are very nice, hardworking and carefully fulfill orders.“

“We've eaten at Tartinery Cafè twice in our stay in New York. The food is absolutely lovely and the atmosphere great.Frank and the other members of staff are friendly and professional.Perfect place for a quick bite, with plenty of vegetarian options.Vegetarian options: Several tasty options.“

“Fun, casual atmosphere. The music is a bit loud, but not very. I bring headphones when eating alone but I also love the music.The chettinad curry with lamb was great. It's coconut based and pretty thick and fattening, but very good. I got it with butter free roti and it came with rice. The lamb was not too fatty and was very tender - really excellent! Might not get the curry again because it is so fattening with all the coconut milk, or maybe I can just avoid eating all the coconut milk curry and only eat some of it plus the meat.The chicken vepudu is good and interesting. I'm not sure if it comes without dairy by default or if you have to order it special with no dairy. It is a bit hot for me but if I take breaks between eating then it's not too hot. It comes with lightly fried batter, maybe lightly fried onions and other things, and the meat is tender. Would get again.Dietary restrictions: They have dairy free options“

“I visited Hibiscus Cafe less than an hour before closing on a Sunday evening. The café was really busy, and everyone (including myself) was ordering complicated drinks. A few folks ordered things that required ingredients that were out, and something like that could throw anyone off their game at the end of their shift. However, the woman working was handling everything so smoothly and efficiently, and she was just plain awesome. My matcha latte was also delicious! I can’t wait to go back!“

“While walking back from my class trip at the Whitney Museum, I stumbled upon this wonderful shop and just had to have a look. I kept peaking over the menu by the window and was surprised with how many options they had, they had avocado toast, Açaí bowls, smoothies, juices etc… Since I was running late to my next class I just decided to settle for a smoothie. When I walked inside, the shop had such a beautiful atmosphere, with a few juices/ pastries on display. I even noticed some fresh fruit hanging in the back. I had a bit of trouble with my credit card on the card reader ( probably kept pulling it out to fast ) and the wonderful lady behind the cashier ( who’s name I wish I asked for ) was so sweet and understanding that she just didn’t mind helping me out with that. When she finished making the smoothie my goodness I was blown away by the flavor. I picked a smoothie that had mango, mint, spinach, pineapple and honey called Mango Tango. Such a good combination of ingredients!! I usually don’t finish smoothies all the way but with this one, I drank it to the bottom of the cup haha I highly recommend stopping by this place, it’s like a hidden gem!! ❤️❤️“

“The Healthy in Dyckman Juice Bar is one of my new favorites! The variety of food options available is mind boggling and I mean that in a good way. As someone who doesn’t eat dairy, I love it here. “Recent dinner at Tacombi definitely hit the spot. The tacos are packed with well seasoned meat, the crispy fish was nicely dressed with slaw and sauce, the salsa are delicious and pack a nice little punch. The tostada was crispy with a flavorful avocado topping and the quesadilla just barely visible under the mountain of Al pastor. My michelada was nice but I'd give the agave wine margs a pass if you're a marg purist. Juan Carlos took great care of us. On hand just when we needed with what we needed, friendly, and left us plenty of time to chow and digest before sending us on our merry way. We really enjoyed the little cabana - it's nice when the COVID inspired street cabana matches the good vibes indoors so even the dog can enjoy the night out.“

“I work 12 hour shifts near here and I’m always soooo tired halfway through. I come here for a quick pick me up. The lady behind the counter is the absolute sweetest, drinks aside- she always lightens my mood. The açaí bowls are to die for- not mid. I’ve tried so many spots in Astoria and Vela is consistently yummy. Today. I went in for a milk tea and they ran out of boba. She went an extra mile to charge me for a medium despite me ordering a large! Soooo sweet. ??“

“Okay best smoothie shop ive ever been to! Tried the Smorgasbord (cashews, agave, sea moss!!), and a carrot smoothie! My friend, who's from NY born and raised, added mint and lemon to the carrot mango ginger smoothie and it felt like i was levitating after the first sip! My homegirl got a cute green juice as well...i didnt try it but it was literally gone in 30 seconds. I take that as it was bomb like the rest of the order. So yall this salmon sandwich...it has a sweet sauce on it and my homegirl added the scotch bonnet pepper sauce...the roll was so soft, the greens were crisp and delicious... i honestly am so impressed at how BK takes the simplest things and levels them up with freshness and vibes. What a gem of a spot that will forever be on my BK dining list after a night of drinking and walking these CRAZY New York city blocks which are way different than Orlando city blocks lol this was the rejuvenation we needed. “I ordered a chai latte on a Saturday at 12:30 PM. It was perfect flavor, sweetness and temperature. I got it with almond milk. I brought in a bagel from another place. However, I saw that they also sell bagels and I heard people ordering an egg sandwich as well as other items, I also noticed they have healthy shakes as well. Since I live nearby I got a punchcard and I hope to visit soon. I'm not 100% sure but I'm pretty positive that it's Latin owned possibly female owned as well. There's not too much seating, I believe there's three tables of two inside and two tables outside. Luckily, not too many people stay for long periods of time I was able to stay for two hours, talking to my friend with no problem.“

“This place is great, I wish I lived closer! I thought it was just a juice bar, but was pleasantly surprised to see that they had wraps, sandwiches or other options as well as empanadas! We were immediately greeted with a smile and kindness, and when I asked if I could customize a drink, they assured me that they make juice fresh on the spot for each customer so I could do whatever I needed for my personal taste. While going over the menu, I noticed that they also have a juice cleanse option where you could take premade juices home. “Coming to this juice press actually makes my day every day. Gregory (who I believe is the manager) is the kindest man and provides such great service. I love juice press for its great selection of healthy food, but even more so for the hospitality coming from Gregory and the staff at this location. They are always smiling, helpful, and pleasant. I never want to get lunch anywhere else! I have sampled some off the menu flavors (chocolate mousse, peanut butter and jelly that are SO GOOD I hope they become actual menu items). It just really makes a difference grabbing lunch a few times a week and knowing you will come in to a warm welcome and positive atmosphere rather than other places where you are barely even greeted and trying to get you in and out as quick as possible. If you're driving, looking for parking in the surrounding area shouldn't be that bad, just don't double park directly out front, this part of Park Avenue is incredibly active. Every bite was powerful and delicious, our toes were dancing while we ate!“

The service is awful though. Guy at the counter had no greeting, just played on his phone. Didn't use gloves when he handled my food (people use their phones while on the toilette so would been nice to use gloves or wash hands). He didn't say thank you, just handed it to me in cold silence. My advice would be to hire someone who can at least pretend that they want to be there and act like they appreciate your business.
