Amazing place! My brother and I are both vegan and have a ton of allergies and the wait staff was super accommodating. The food is spectacular too - I took 2 animal eaters and a vegetarian to the restaurant and they couldn't tell the difference between the kebabs and meat. We had the "chicken", "beef", and kofta kebabs, along with the "chicken" gyros, "lamb" cigars, and hummus. I was a big fan of all the kebabs, and thought the "chicken" gyros were amazing too. The desserts were also great - highly recommend.Vegetarian options: It's an entirely vegan restaurant.

Anixi stands out as a beacon of Vegan Mediterranean cuisine, weaving together vibrant flavors into a tapestry of culinary delight. As you peruse the menu, it's evident that every detail has been meticulously curated, from the eclectic array of dishes to the elegant crockery. We embarked on our culinary journey with a Mezze dip, and ordered Taramasalata. It was a blend of zesty lemon-infused yogurt, caviar, and crisp red onions drizzled with evoo and sumac perfectly complemented with the warmth of fresh pita bread.Next up, the Crispy Lamb Cigars, the meat replication was spot in. Each bite was a crispy, savory delight, perfectly complemented by a tantalizing dip that elevated the experience. The true star of the evening was a recommendation from our waitress for the day’s special—a grilled chicken dish that was not on the menu. Served over a bed of rice and cloaked in a velvety creamy sauce, it was a revelation. The uncanny resemblance to chicken left us in awe, with the charred exterior giving way to tender, succulent bites. It's a testament to Anixi's mastery of plant-based ingredients, where they've artfully recreated the essence of meat without compromising on taste or texture. For vegans and non-vegans alike, it's a culinary journey not to be missed. Anixi has truly set the bar high, redefining what it means to savor the flavors of the Mediterranean in a way that's ethical, sustainable, and undeniably delicious. This, without a doubt, is the best Vegan experience NYC has to offer.

Came here with a large group, tried the dip sampler, 2 types of bread, and every faux meat (and egg) on offer. Everything was just delicious. I'll be back anytime I am in New York, and wish you guys would open a location in San Francisco!

The food here is still amazing. We came here a second time after last October. Wait service is excellent. True Vegan Mediterranean cuisine, very well presented and very flavorful. Volume of food is excellent. I had posted last time that we were upset because we were sat in very small tapas type tables even though from when we came in and left, the restaurant was still 30% or more empty. This was early evening. Thanks to our waitress who butted 2 tables together. This had happened to a few people coming in without reservations. One couple with same situation asked to be seated in the main restaurant and no issue. Yet when I had asked they refused. So here we are for the second time with reservations. The second hostess is planning to seat us, but she then goes to another couple to seat first, which was fine. The couple were ordering drinks and the waitress waited while we were standing at front. My wife and I were whispering to each other about why the hostess couldn't seat us first and then attend to the other couple. This went on for a few minutes until the first hostess decided to seat us. We noticed that after we ordered our wine, the hostess was still waiting for the other couple to get their drinks. We were seated by a wall where there were about 10 to 12 couples tables. Even though there were about 10 empty tables, we get seated next to another couple. We kept noticing that other people were being seated next to each other instead of leaving space in between. When we left, there were about 5 or 6 empty tables in a row, and people next to each other. This should be managed better in my opinion. Still, that won't stop me from coming back. I also look forward to their new Mexican themed restaurant.

Certainly, the top vegan restaurant in New York. Having lived in this city for ten years, I was pleasantly impressed by the outstanding quality of every dish we tried.

Definitely recommend this place for everyone! The zatar bread and dips- the bread was amazing, very soft, pillowy and had a good amount of flavor from the zatar spices. Dips: Fire Roasted Egglplant (must try), Whipped Ricotta (on the sweeter side), squash based dip (would try hummus next time). We tried their chicken specials with rice (it was lacking some spice; something to balance the one tone taste of the dish) and date cake (cake was amazing). Drinks were aromatic and unique. Would definitely come again to try other items!

Definitely elevated vegetarian and vegan cuisine. We enjoyed all the dishes, especially with the Kofta Kabob, the aromatic flavor and texture, the plating. The pide (flat bread) reminded me of Georgian cheese bread. The service could be improved from being too frenetic at the hostess stand and too eager table clearing. The bartender was very professional, efficient and friendly. The space is small but interesting. A tad too many tables though.

The BEST vegan restaurant we've ever experienced. Wish you'd open a location in Atlanta! It's hard to believe what you're eating is actually vegan because the presentation is so stunning and spot on. The fire roasted eggplant is incredible. The hummus with Za'atar pita is a MUST. The cured salmon is jaw-dropping - my spouse said "no way this is vegan - if you blindfolded me I'd swear it was salmon!" The tuna tartar was a winner and the crispy lamb cigars will have you swooning. I swear we're ready to fly up to NY for the night just to repeat our meal but this time save room for the Date Cake because the table next to us was devouring it when we were seated and said not to miss it. So we have to come back ASAP! TY Anixi for your incredible menu offerings, I really wish you were in ATL.

I visited last night for my sister's birthday [she's vegan]. The food is amazing. The hummus, THE HUMMUS - 10/10/10. Our favorites were the ones with yogurt and the other one with honey and ricotta. We wanted to eat just that alone with the bread. The bread is so fresh and hot. The breads are freshly made and not stale and hard. Our server, JOY, is amazing. She gave the best recommendations from food and drinks. The egg Flatbread is so good. So so so good and dense. We took two bites and were full. We had to take the rest home. We were full after our meal and plan to return to try the other menu options.
