Good afternoon, My two friends and I came last night (03/13/23) with a 6:30 reservation under Melanie, to celebrate a birthday and based on the menu I was actually looking forward to dinner with friends. It was a very pretty restaurant but all that beauty means nothing if they lack in Customer Service. The first thing that went wrong was the staff’s failure to not know what the hell they are promoting on their website but I was more than happy to show the waiter on my phone. On the website they are advertising “a free meal” for the birthday person, on the fine print it specifically states the following “1) One entrée on the house with the purchase of any equal or greater valued entrée. 2) Minimum of 2 per table.” That was no problem because it was three of us and we were each planning on an entrée anyway as we did not eat prior in order to properly enjoy dinner. When our waiter asked the birthday girl what “appetizer” she wanted that would be on the house this is when I had to interrupt and show him the fine print on the site. I said the website clearly says it is a free entrée if the conditions I mentioned above are met, nothing about an appetizer. He proceeds to say it’s the same thing and I was very confused because as far as I know in the U.S an entrée is a main dish not an appetizer. After having to clear that up he agreed to give the birthday girl the free entrée. We were there for about 3 hours and things got worse when the bill arrived. On the bill there were 3 entrées added that we did not order and an extra order of the grilled octopus appetizer. When I pointed out the extra order of the grilled octopus his next question was “how many pieces were on the plate?”. EXCUSE ME? As far as I know you are not charged an appetizer by how many pieces of something is on a plate but rather the order and we ordered just ONE plate of the grilled octopus, not the two that was on the bill. This waiter insulted my intelligence for a third time and I left very disappointed with their service. At this point it felt like it was done on purpose because of the moment I mentioned the birthday offer on the website. I was even charged $10 for the Bengal Candle that was brought over to sing happy birthday to my friend. For such a pretty and classy looking place where I spent $423.98 they have one of the most trashiest services I’ve ever had at a dining establishment. Black pants and a black suit might have made the waiter look like he had some sense but he clearly missed the customer service and etiquette class. Avoid the discrepancies and update your condescending staff on proper customer service and online offers. Disgruntled Patron,

we had an excellent brunch outside yesterday. reservation is important. Will definitely come back when in Manhattan
