“I recently attended a dinner in one of the private dining spaces and it was absolutely fantastic! The dining space was formerly a law office and it had a very intimate, homey feel. The staff at Comodo made the night very special, from the impeccable service to the thoughtfully curated menu.“

“This is our favorite Peruvian restaurant in NYC. Portions are good, prices not as crazy expensive as a certain Peruvian restaurant in mid 70s in UES and most importantly, it’s delicious! Ceviche, lomo soltado, ají de gallina and arroz con mariscos are our favorites. Cocktails are very good too!“

“I only ordered what my grandmother would make so that I could compare and have that home-cooking comfort! Nothing is ever as good as grandma’s cooking, but needless to say this is close #2!!! Arroz con gandules, mofongo with pernil, and alcapurria was my favorite but you cannot go wrong with anything. A small, cash only place that has a true homey neighborhood feel. Just waiting to go back!“

“A different venture from your regular Dykman experience. It is an intimate, sophisticated culinary experience inspired by owner Felix Abarca's birthplace Ecuador. Fusing rich flavors found in Ecuadorian cuisine with its food and beverage program they offer an experience in the shape of a glass or plate.Staff is always inviting and on point. Place is always immaculate and organized. Live music on the weekends by local artist or even the bartender "extrangero music" is always of great taste and not too loud.Pop-up and collaborations with chefs or bartenders happen regularly. The amazing wine list is unique and curated by a great connoisseur and wine enthusiast, the owner Felix. The coziness of this place is what makes it even more special.“

“First off the staff are amazing - warm and friendly. Like you just walked into someone’s home. They patiently guided us through the menu, and brought out frozen glasses with our perfectly chilled beer. Ordered the chicken and pork stews with a side of plantains, everything was delicious. Almost made 5 stars - could have been slightly less salty and it would’ve!“

“The empanadas were crispy and hot from the first bite tot the last bite. They are the perfect size. Not too small, but not too much that you can't finish them. The service was fast and friendly. It was not as busy as I thought it would be for late night.Outdoor seating, plastic-free packaging, provides reusable tableware.“

“Amazing food. Just simply amazing. Bewitching even. Came here on a Tuesday night (not exactly a going out night) and pretty early too around 6:30 or so. Ordered seafood and the name sake of the restaurant: The Octopus. What arrived was an obscenity of deliciousness. Tentacle was very large with garnish of the Parsnip Puree. It was incredibly soft and tasty. Our server Alejandra was was great and very knowledgeable and made suggestions that were right on point. Guacamole, Lobster Taquitos, Ceviche, my god those were delicious! But the key was the namesake of the restaurant. Octopus was not just delicious it was obscenely so! Cocktails were great even though I don't particularly like them (I think that straight up drink is better). And then to top it all off were the Churros. Best ones I've had since Spain and they were missing the melted chocolate (that might be a great idea). One thing though I didn't count on were the musicians. They just add so much to the ambiance of the place, so if you visit make sure you have some cash on hand. You probably will need it.“

“The chicken tikka masala and the naan feels authentic and is just a comforting but binge worthy meal to have. Their tandoori chicken wings are quite good as well. The naan tacos are better than the roti tacos cuz the rotis just disintegrate when you add all the toppings. Love all their chutneys as well!“

“Had a perfect experience at Bstro 38. Food was tasty, full of flavor, well cooked, and great quality. The drinks were flawless, well balanced and strong without the alcohol being overpowering. The service was impeccable-- excellent restaurant service standards. Our server (Starling) was friendly, attentive, and checked with us in a good cadence. The staff worked really well together and created a great experience. The space was dimly lit. It was inviting, warm, and casual.“

“We had a great dinner at ABC Cocina last night. All the food was delicious including the guac, patatas bravas, fluke crudo, hearts of palm salad and tacos. We also loved the speciality margaritas and the churros for dessert. The meal was a little spendy but at least you get what you pay for unlike many other overpriced restaurants in NYC these days.“

“Overall rating: 4.7My friend recommended this place to me claiming (!) they have really good espresso martinis. I was a bit cautious because they have such high ratings. From the outside, it looks like it’s just going to be a tourist spot. But going inside was a very different experience. The decor is so much fun and the vibe is awesome. Definitely brought some energy up which was needed. I sat at the bar and the bartender was really nice and still left me alone. The espresso martini was good & I had a chicken sandwich which was amazing. Total price of $35 including tip hurt a little, but that’s the city we live in now. I’d go back again if I’m in the area needing a place to hang. Highly recommend!“

“Delicious and fabulous service! The service workers recommended the passion fruit tres leches and it was fabulous; the passion fruit layer added some tartness to the otherwise sweet cake.Out of abundant generosity they also gifted me a piece of their traditional tres leches cake. It was also delicious but definitely more sweet, without the fruit layer. Recommended with coffee!“

“Birthday Dinner in NYC and I was so pleased. My and my Shuga bear stumbled on this place just walking around with grumbling tummies. Saw some folks leaving and they swore we'd love the food. Went in and the hostess greeted us so warmly and I shared it was my birthday and she made sure we got a seat without reservations. Seated promptly but wasted no time being served up a couple of Havana Hurricanes. Next I ordered the oxtail stew and my husband had the Mia Y Tierra (surf n turf). As the live Cuban music played in the background we were dancing in our booth and having a great time. These plates filled with deliciousness appeared before us and all you saw were forks flying back n forth in one another's plates. The oxtail stew had a sauce that was poured table-side and it was filled with flavor. I couldn't eat it all but that didn't stop me from trying. I can't even explain the house party that was happening on my tastebuds. My husband's dish was equally delicious with the chimmichurri on a perfectly cooked steak and shrimp full of flavor. Let's not forget the yellow rice and black beans that stood out all by themselves. Finally the party came where I was sung to and adorned with my own Panama Fedora. I will definitely be back for it all if even in NYC again.“

“Had an amazing dinner with my husband at the very friendly, hospitable, and professional Counter & Bodega restaurant. I made 5:30pm reservations, but they accommodated us an hour early with a smile. Bryan and Joanna are the best. They take such great pride in the food and service they provide. The ambiance, along with Hector Lavoe playing, made us feel like we were back in Grandma and Titi's house as kids, waiting for a tasty pastelle and a sneak swing of Coquito. No le digas nada a mami si no quiere fuete. Best dinner and time we had in a long time. Book a reservation, you won't be disappointed.Dietary restrictions: They made sure there was no dairy in any of my food due to my allergies.“

“Pretty good place for authentic Dominican food. Prices are reasonable, though the food can sometimes be hit or miss. As I’ve been ordering the oxtail sometimes it’s extremely tender other times. It’s hard. As always the Cubano sandwich is always a quick bite one of the best. As for trying their many other dishes, they were all good such as the Don Miguel, the salmon and beef stew.“

“If you like margaritas and Mexican food this is the restaurant you need to visit in Hell's kitchen. On the east side of 9th avenue between 53rd and 54th Street this gem has the best margaritas at $20 and they're worth every penny. The food is amazing. Service is quick and the waiters and waitresses are both courteous and entertaining. Two people can have two margaritas each and the entree for about $120 including the tip. If you visit only one restaurant in Hell's kitchen this year make it this place.“

“I've been ordering from this location for months since they opened, their chicken is crisp on the outside, so juicy on the inside and the seasoning consistantly surpasses any other chicken I've had. I've shared it with friends and colleagues. Today I experienced something even better. I placed a delivery order at work and when I got home to have this wonderful meal, my order was wrong, I like dark meat, they sent me white. I went on their website and left a complaint of my disappointment no less than 10 minutes, the store manager, Alexis called me to apologize and asked how could he fix this for me. That's what I call excellent customer service. I will wait to see if he follows through, but the call made my day. Thank you, Alexis!“

“One of the best meals I’ve had in a while. My boyfriend took me here on a whim and said I had no idea what I was missing and he was right. The chipotle queso dip and salsa was the perfect way to start and the trio of tacos with Brussel sprouts tied it all together. The food came out fast and fresh and the service was impeccable. “I came here on a random late Saturday night with a friend looking for a spot to get a drink and maybe have some luck in finding a place still open to serve some appetizers. It was to our surprise that the kitchen was fully open after 10pm! My friend ordered the Salmon and I got the Ceasar salad which was very delicious, however, I regretted not ordering the mofongo. People that ordered around me had me craving it! The DJ was really good too; played old school music and currents ones. All the servers provided great customer service. What I liked the most was the crowd- it was almost empty and everyone was just living their best life dancing on their chairs and playing games. If you’re young and single looking for a place to meet people; I doubt this is the place. Everyone was in their late 30s and older hanging out after the brunch crowd went on their merry way. I will be going back again with more friends to enjoy good food, good drinks, and good company.Wheelchair accessibility: Ground floor and plenty of space“

“PROs - food taste , location , price , food quantity CONs - service , ambience , spacing between tables !! 3.5 stars First timer . Wanted to try something new and spotted this restaurant in Google with 4+ review. First of all , it was a little tough to spot this restaurant .. it got lost to the restaurant next door called Babylon :). Wish they had some side boards . Price wise it was ok. Paid about 15 $ for lunch special .. service could be better . The women who took order didn't want to answer me about the menu. I'm new to Peruvian cuisine and didn't know what each food meant . Good was actually delicious . Loved the quarter chicken .. it was really tasty and well made . Salad was ok. Rice and bean was so good . There was very less space between tables .. you are almost sitting very close fo the next table and whatever they speak , you can hear and it's kinda not that good . Just for the food I gave 4 stars . Wanted to give 3 stars but 1 more star for the chef ..“

“I recently visited this Spanish chicken restaurant and overall had a positive experience. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, creating a pleasant environment for a meal. The staff was attentive and friendly, contributing to the overall enjoyable dining experience. Now, let's delve into the highlight—the Spanish chicken. While the dishes were tasty, I couldn't help but feel that they fell slightly short of my expectations. The chicken was well-cooked, but there was a subtle element missing that would have elevated it to perfection. Perhaps a bit more seasoning or a unique twist could have added that extra flair.Despite this minor critique, the menu offered a diverse selection of Spanish-inspired dishes. The appetizers, such as patatas bravas and chorizo croquettes, showcased the chef's creativity and commitment to traditional flavors. The presentation was noteworthy, with each dish appearing as a carefully crafted masterpiece. The drink menu was well-curated, featuring a selection of Spanish wines and cocktails. The sangria, in particular, was a delightful complement to the meal, adding to the overall enjoyment of the dining experience. The dessert, churros with chocolate dipping sauce, was a sweet ending to the meal. The churros were well-prepared, offering a satisfying conclusion to the culinary journey. In conclusion, while the overall experience was positive, I've rated this restaurant four stars as I believe there is room for improvement in the flavor profile of the Spanish chicken. I still recommend this establishment for its ambiance, attentive service, and creative menu, with the hope that the culinary aspects can reach“

“I've heard of chirp a few times and this was the time to finally try it after getting recommended it by 2 friends. I wanted the bowl but decided to just get the 1/2 chicken $12 while my friend got the 1/2 chicken with rice and beans for $16. I was a bit disappointed seeing it being pretty small but I enjoyed the taste. The skin is nicely flavored and the meat was tender. The green sauce they had was nice too. I feel like I wouldn't like the bowl as much because I didn't see any skin so it may not have as much flavor. Without the skin, the meat was not very flavorful at all. The price was not too bad but I think I'm a bit spoiled by growing up getting Costco rotisserie chicken for $6 for a while chicken. I enjoyed the chicken but honestly I don't think it's that special. Regardless I'll give it a 4 because there's nothing really wrong about it. It's good rotisserie chicken.“
