Let me just say wow! My wife and were in NY for her bday and decided to stop in on a Friday night. Instantly greeted by the maitre d, Cameron, who had the most positive energy and great food suggestions. The fillet mignon meatballs are a must! 10/10 would recommend.

Is there a 6 star option for service? Ricky at the bar is among the most incredible, personable, knowledgeable servers in the city.The food is great, short rib pappardelle, pepperoni cups and the crudo were delicious. Brussel sprouts had a unique and sumptuous/savory flavor.
Had a fabulous time here. Exceptional service and beautiful surroundings. Loved the perrrochini martini ? don’t listen to the negative reviews that this place is overhyped, I vehemently disagree and feel the food was truly outstanding and not just a gimmick. Don’t miss out on the garlicky Ceasar salad and the filet mignon.

We saw our server when we placed our order and to pay. I asked where she went. We had to flag someone down to order a bottle of wine. We did not receive water for 20 minutes after 2 different servers asked what kind of water we wanted. The water glasses are textured and colored so they cannot tell when empty so I was asking repeatedly for water. Food great. Service sucks.

We’ve dined all around the city, some places are great, as advertised, some don’t meet the expectation, lightly put.. Well, this restaurant is the latter. Located in a well known hub in NYC, where usually, the quality of food and service reflect the location. There are positive things on menu, like truffle ricotta, but for the most part food is not that great. The atmosphere, well, it reminds me of a diner or a regular Italian style place in NJ. Service stops being good after a welcome by the waitress. If you happen not to like a certain dish or a drink, the reaction is less than happy. Not all utensils are given in the first place, in case of lobster for example. Not once the waitress stopped by our table to see if we needed anything. Only at end dinner we were asked how we’re doing. Thanks we’re done. Cheers

Absolutely an awful experience with staff that was rude and dismissive. Arzu our server was amazing but that was about it. We spent a milestone celebration at your establishment and you sadly disappointed. And it wasn’t cheap. But it’s not about the money. Everyone was so rude to us. I couldn’t believe I was in NYC.

Come for the Babka, eggplant, & truffle honey ricotta. I had the kale with mafaldine & my friend had the short rib papardelle which was good. Chicken scarpiello pasta was too al dente and the salmon left something to be desired. Drinks were uninspired and overall not it. Dessert was also nothing special. Service was bare minimum with zero personality. The chocolate torte with olive oil gelato ruined our evening.Vibes were nice, 3/5 would not return.

Bad Roman exceeded our expectations. First of all, the food was incredible. Every single dish we ordered we absolutely loved. The cocktails were delicious and the pepperoncini martini is a must. The service was impeccable. Our server perfectly paced everything and made sure to check in throughout the evening. Our water glasses were never empty, and our table was cleaned and silverware replaced between each course. Little details like that go a long way. Everyone we came in contact with, from the hostesses to the bussers were warm and welcoming. The ambiance really ties it all together. It’s a beautiful space and we loved that none of the tables were too close together. That can be an issue in this city so it was nice to not feel like we were on top of other people. We will definitely be returning to Bad Roman and if you haven’t yet, give it a try!
