Beautiful design and atmosphere but lacks authenticity. Pretty dry commercial vibe, but the design makes it still very attractive. Good to go once in a while but it's overstated in my opinion.

I can only dream, being alone and 78 years, and loving fine food ,and living in a small town as Mesquite Nevada I can only dream .When Michael was alive we ate in all the finest Italian restaurants, now you have opened your Jewel and I can't get there to welcome and enjoy the very best.It is such sadness to me I was born in New York.THE CITY OF FINE FOOD.

Expensive AF but an iconic NYC fine dining experience in lush surrounds.

A really pretty restaurant. Loved sitting in the second floor alcoves overlooking the main dining room. Our waitress was a delight. The food was overall very good, but don’t expect anything to surprise or take your breath away. Best dish I had was the veal tongue, the acidity in the dish rounded it well.

Great atmosphere. The duck duck duck ravioli, the beet ravioli, and the scallops ala Floyd were the standouts.

The ambiance and decor were exquisite. Our standout dishes were the beet ravioli with ostera and the chocolate truffle cake. While the service was generally good, there was a slight hiccup when I requested a replacement for a spirit-free cocktail I didn't enjoy. Despite asking for a fruity but not overly sweet drink, what arrived was essentially pineapple juice over ice. It was overwhelmingly sweet. I refrained from drinking it throughout the meal, despite it being served at the start. Although the waitress noticed, she seemed to avoid addressing the issue, making sure not to ask again if I liked it. This lack of attention to my preferences left a negative impression, especially considering the substantial bill of over $400 for our dinner. I expected more effort to accommodate my palate. I would appreciate it if the team could refund the cost of the mocktail, simply as a matter of principle.I would also like to suggest to the Cafe Carmellini team to expand their mocktail menus to cater to a broader audience. Offering only cosmopolitans and mezcal mules limits the appeal to a specific demographic.

Had a birthday party of 7 here and it was a sweet time. The chairs are comfortable and the decor is beautiful. When it’s peak busy, can be a little loud which is nice for celebrations, but may be harder for an intimate dinner for two. Cocktails are refreshing and the crystal is pretty. Highlights were the squab, duck tortellini, sea bass, snapper, and chicory salad also the special which was a squid ink risotto. Portions are on the smaller side, so it’s not really set up for sharing. Plan on enjoying a delicious and creative meal, and feeling satisfied. Desserts were wonderful too— sticky toffee pudding, a fruit tart, and raspberry chiboust… looking forward to coming backDietary restrictions: They’re good about allergies!

Service hasn’t been the same since COVID but Cafe Carmellini is an exception - a wonderful dining experience from start to finish. The oysters are to die for, drinks are excellent, the special was astounding, and desert was incredible (get the sticky toffee pudding! Not pictured)For the main, I had the beet & marscapone ravioli w/ smoked roe, vermouth crème, and Royal Ossetra caviar. Order whatever their special is when you go. I try not to dine at the same place too often but I cannot wait to go back, especially for the oysters.

While the staff was welcoming and provided good service overall, the restaurant left me flat. Delivers an impersonal experience. I was expecting a more downtown vibe with outstanding food. It delivered more of an old school uptown vibe. Food was good but nothing exceptional for nyc, which was disappointing. Sad because the hotel and bar area( a separate establishment) are really beautiful with a much better vibe.
