I had a Horrible experience here, I went with a group of friends. One friend decided to use my electronic cigarette indoors for a quick second. The male bouncer of the club seen this and approached both of us he asked who had done it, we both apologized but he proceeded to separate only myself from the group and pulled me towards the front door. The bouncer got up in my face and said intimidatingly "if you want to stay you must pay me $20 dollars". I thought it was a joke first or second time. But realized he was being for real, I genuinely thought for a minute that I had been pulled away from my group by a complete stranger. He was extremely aggressive and intimidating towards me, I eventually refused to pay him off and he threw me out of the club.

One of my all-time favorites from the 1990s. Ludlow was a dive that saw its share of celebrities. Famously the Coiunting Crows hung out here and at Pianos since Ludlow Street was known as a musicians street (Pianos was a Piano warehouse). Ludlow Bar had no cocktails more advanced than an old fashioned or gin martini, and its beer selection usually included Red Hook ESB, Rolling Rock, Red Stripe and Corona (which the kids would tint red with grenadine). It was an authentic place to hang out on a hot summer night with the doors and windows open, before hitting one of several DJ dance clubs in the area. It later became Darkroom (with virtually the same drinks and decor) and then it closed. We need places like this in the Lower East Side. It is missed.

Brilliant! - Was my fav Bar in Town. Went there almost every evening to take around 15 Rolling Rock and left right before the ladies came by.

Had dinner at Dirty French and followed up with drinks here. Relaxing open area , relatively easy to have a drink and enjoy a conversation.
