I came here for my birthday dinner. The staff here were so friendly and helpful. They explained the tasting course thoroughly. The first course was a set of three little dishes and the rest was a sort of "choose your own adventure" type of thing. My brother, husband and I each ordered something different and we got to try most of the menu that way. The presentation was impeccable and the food was top notch. They presented me with a cute little birthday dessert with a candle. I would definitely recommend this place to everyone.

I had not been to any restaurant that was able to elevate Korean food until Oiji Mi. The flavors were spot on, still keeping to the taste of what I grew up with but adding a modern twist. The staff was also super attentive and made the experience great! All the dishes were great. I don't like Sea Urchin, but the sea urchin dish was actually the best dish!

During our recent trip to NYC we decided to try another Korean Michelin restaurant having had two great experiences around the world. On arrival we received a warm welcome and seated at the bar whilst our table was still occupied. We enjoyed some lovely cocktails whilst waiting.Once shown to our table, which was in a row of twos, we expressed our dissatisfaction at its position and it felt like being in the middle of main walkway for staff. It’s not a great location and I request when booking to avoid these tables. After some discussion, the team finally moved us. FYI, the couple who were finally seating there also asked to be moved. I think that tells you something. It felt like the restaurant just want to put as many tables as possible into what would otherwise be dead space. As for the meal, Chef Brain Kim has taken modern cuisine fused with rich Korean flavours and technique to create an unquie 5 course tasting experience. He is so good that his venue has two Michelin restaurants within the same place. The food and pairing was simply outstanding. I have had to take a star off for the Wagu course I selected, which came with a $20 supplement, it is has to be some of the worse Wagu I’ve had, absolutely no marbling. We did complaint and they comped our cocktails. What they should have done was remove the supplement. We hope on our next trip later in the year, we will try Chef Brian’s other restaurant.

I came here on a Tuesday night for dinner with 2 friends. The decor is wonderful and everyone from the hostess stand, to the bartender to the servers and chefs are all really nice. I started with a mezcal Negroni and it was PERFECT! Might be the best one I’ve ever had, and it’s my go-to cocktail. This restaurant has a 5-course prix-fixe menu. You get everything listed in the 1st course and then get to choose 1 thing from each of the items listed on the menu for courses 2-5. I really enjoyed everything in the 1st course, but the standout was the beef tartare. For the 2nd course, I got the BBQ Calamari and my 2 friends got one order of the Bo SSAM, which is made for 2 people. We just ended up sharing everything, which was perfect. The stand out for me was everything that accompanied the pork belly. For the 3rd course, I got the Chili Lobster Ramyen which was crazy good. My only complaint is that I wish i could have had more of it! I chose the Dry-Aged Duck for my 4th course, which was perfectly cooked. We shared all of the desserts for the 5th course and all of it was good, but my favorite was the Makgeolli! There are crunchy kernels in it that reminded me of Corn Pops (which I always really liked). We did 2 bottles of wine with dinner, which the sommelier did an excellent job of recommending. Overall, this was an excellent experience. It’s pricey, but not as bad as other restaurants of comparable quality. I’ll be back!

The food here is truly exceptional. The seabass is particularly stunning…..the broth truly makes it. Ask the server for recommendations and relax. Everyone is friendly and the restaurant is beautiful.

Great food and service. Was seated in the lounge area near the front of the store. complimentary coat check. We wanted to try everything but the server suggested that we were ordering too much. Glad we had followed their recommendations because otherwise we would have been too full and wasteful. Would recommend Oiji bowl for sure and bo ssam. Market price for Oiji bowl was $45. Everything else if preference. Would not recommend tartare - overly priced from a single bite.

Complete rip off. Below is a picture of the pour on a $15 glass of beer. Come here for the bonfire of the vanities experience. $29 for two bottles of sparkling water. Portions so small I left starving.

My wife and I were looking for a place to celebrate pur anniversary together. We had several options through various reviews on Reddit and Google but decided to choose Oiji Mi based on food, presentation, ambience, and above all, customer service. We were blown away. Oiji Mi met all of our expectations and then some. It was the perfect choice for our celebration. Upon checking in, we were greeted by Lance who was exquisitely attentive to us and the reasons for our celebration. He and the rest of the Oiji Mi staff ranging from our bartender to our waitress (and waiters when she was preoccupied) to our servers were all so very detail-oriented and caring moreso than they needed to be. We were treated very well. The food was also terrific. Our fav would have to most definitely be the seabass. The broth was amazing. Overall, would not only recommed the experience to others but would also come again! Ty Lance and crew for a wonderful experience.

The experience was good overall. The staff was very attentive but not disruptive of our conversations. Our seats weren’t the best because I was sat at the very end of a long row of tables and kept making awkward eye contact with the person on the other end. The food was creative, I especially enjoyed the bossam. The duck sauce was superb and the goguma bingsu was the perfect finish to my night. I thought the cheese donuts with the combination of sweet and savory were superb but my friend didn’t like it so much. The uni also could have been more fresh especially with the 45$ extra MP charge. The recommended cocktails were generally good apart from the last one which was too bitter for me personally. Around 250pp after surcharge and cocktails. Would recommended this place for people first time trying Korean omakase. It does get busy even on a rainy weekday so make reservations in advance.

Nothing to say about the impeccable place (clean, tidy, welcoming) as regards the service the waiters are very kind, helpful and meticulous they work hard but for those who don't speak English well there is no one to give you the possibility of clarification in another language, at least that's how it was in my experience. For the food I expected much better being a MICHELIN star, the first course is well presented and very tasty, for the second course I had the very good pork and it was nice to build up the dish, but the third and fourth course I was shocked, the products used were absolutely not up to the prices only for those who are true connoisseurs of sea urchin will understand me and furthermore the ingredients were not valorised mostly served in an uncomfortable bowl while for the wagyu I don't even think it was and if it was, well the meat was hard. While the utmost respect for desserts made me really emotional, the pastry chef is very good and a genius "an explosion of flavours". I hope I have been helpful in ensuring that this post is valued because there is a lot of ignorance around.Wheelchair accessibility: Yes.
