OKDONGSIK New York Reviews
Conceptually perfect - love a no-choice restaurant. The soup (the star of the dish) was everything the NY Times review said it would be. Flavorful, clean, delicious.Overall ambiance is also great! The whole place is steamy and smells delicious. Love that it's just a tiny spot with 10 seats or so.The back opens into a speakeasy bar. Didn't get a drink or anything but it looks very cozy!
At these price levels, one must deliver a full package. It doesn’t. I’ll admit, the gukbap is fine for its type. But try their Kimchi, very disappointing. It’s like eating a burrito where the inside is good but the tortilla wrap is junk rated

I shared a gomtang bowl with extra pork with a friend, as well as a plate of mandu. Both dishes were fantastic. The mandu is especially flavorful given that they are vegetarian and made with tofu. They also dont skimp out on the pork in the gomtang, so keep in mind that it will be a heavier meal. The rice and broth are very tasty as well. The kimchi they served on the side was fresher than most korean restaurants I've been to – I'm definitely a fan. They sell 16oz packs of it...read full review
