“Been here 4 times. I declare take 31 to be the top one on my list of Korean food in New York! The creamy udon pasta is super delicious and is my favorite dish. The creamy sauce is very rich and you won’t get tired of it even if you eat the whole plate. We have tried all three kinds of rice balls, and our favorite is the tuna fish rice ball. The 5 big pieces are full of sincerity and are so satisfying when paired with refreshing kimchi; the honey fried chicken has a sweet coating, and the mustard sauce it comes with is even more remarkable, retaining the mustard flavor without being spicy; the yogurt-flavored Rice wine has more flavor than banana flavor! It’s especially cool; the pork neck meat will be a little fatty; the corn tortillas have caramel adhering to the corn kernels, which are sweet and crispy, especially delicious! !“

“My daughter and son took me to Sylvia's on 4/27/24 for my birthday. We drove up from Philly, my sister and son-in-law was there as well. Food/service was excellent. Atmosphere was good. Our waitress Ms. Olga was a true blessing, her attitude and her politeness, matter of fact it was Ms. Olga birthday as well. They sang to me, I really enjoyed myself. Today is Monday, I'm eating my leftover ? for lunch. I had seafood combination, yams, mac&cheese. I pray one day I can visit again. The weather was cold so we ate and drove back to Philly. Normally I don't eat at restaurants, this was an excellent day for my 67th birthday ???God bless you all????????“

“The gomtang is a VERY basic, clear broth soup. Really does not have much taste on its own. I personally like more flavorful foods and added the house special pepper paste, which I thought really elevated this dish and brought it to another level. I highly recommend eating the gomtang with the paste.I also ordered the kimchi mandu, which were delicious and spicy. Definitely packed more flavor compared to the gomtang.I recommend making a reservation because walk ins could be a long wait. The seating is around the counter, which I enjoyed as you can watch the food being prepared in front of you.Service was great. The chefs and hosts were very nice and explained things on the menu.“

“I really like a po-boy sandwich, but every time I eat one my brain goes, "these are arthropods, these are bugs." The Craw Pretzel Boy has convinced me I never need to eat an arthropod again. It was really good, not even just "for a vegan version."Same with the mac and cheese. Also, when you go in here there's a case of vegan cupcakes, and they look really good, and I can tell you from experience now that they are really good.“

“The food was amazing! It was seasoned very well. The staff was friendly. We enjoyed ourselves. We had a party of 15 and they didn't miss a beat. It was a bit pricy for some items but worth it. Very large portion sizes. I will definitely be eating here again!“

“We just ordered dinner tonight, and it’s one of the best meals I’ve had in a year. Delivery was fast and very well-packaged, and the food is incredible. The Korean meatloaf. The ribs. The loaded tiger tots. Every bite was better than the last. Tender, perfectly seasoned meat that gives the usual names a run for their money. We took a leap of faith and tried the BBQ jackfruit and were blown away, I recommend it. Prices are more than reasonable for the generous portions and inventive menu. The strawberry soju cake did not disappoint either. We plan to add Memphis Seoul into our usual rotation from now on!“

“A very special place of warmth and true Jamaican hospitality in NYC. I have hosted several events here (3 cooking classes for students and a special pre-wedding fun "game night" party) and everyone loves generous-hearted Chef Mom, the delicious food she prepares and the wide open welcoming space. What a treat to have this gem in the middle of the city.“

“This is some good ole southern food?! Fried chicken 20 stars!!! I’ve been to this place 3 times already, I always get the veggie plate, which is 4 sides. I get greens, cabbage, black eye peas, & pot salad or string beans. Now normally I don’t get nobody’s pot salad because since our generational grandmothers have all passed away , no one can do it right ?…. But baby pan fried did ?.. I was impressed?. Somebody over 40 made that pot salad ?. The only thing I haven’t taste , was the Mac n cheese ( my heartburn be killing me ) I can’t do all those cheese at this age & the yams. The honey they use to put on the chicken is good ( I had mines on the side ) & the cheesecake is good good good !!!?. The staff is really friendly, from the front to the back. Very nice black owned business ❣️“

“Cover charge should include coat check. Half of the other patrons had their coats (felt duped). Food (fried chicken, collard greens) was lacking with seasoning. Macaroni was missing the cheese (shocked). Grilled red snapper was actually seasoned and delicious. Entertainment: Absolutely phenomenal. Those artists sannnnnnnng.“

“A new restaurant and bakery to the neighborhood that services Soul and Creole food. Finally had the opportunity to try it out, i ordered the Jerk Chicken lunch and Oxtail lunch with seasoned rice, candied yams and mac & cheese. Everything was delicious - i love that the meat falls off the bone of the chicken and oxtail... also the candied yams were cooked just right (not overly soggy)i was expecting bigger portions but im ok to sacrifice quantity for quality... They have a bunch of baked goods and pies that i havent tried yet. Also, they may not have everything on the menu as they are still getting going - so worth calling to see whats available that day. Im looking forward to going back and trying other plates“

“One of the best restaurants in the Greater New York area that serves vegan and vegetarian cuisine. Consider it a comfort food. They offer faux meats that are not real meats but certainly taste great, salads, vegan and vegetarian ice cream. They are pretty great at distinguishing vegan and vegetarian cuisines and you get exactly what you order. If you are ethical vegan or ethical vegetarian, this is an amazing restaurant to visit. I also brought all friends who are not vegan or vegetarian and they loved it! Restaurant is near NYU so you can often see students and faculty here. What else can I say! Just great.“

“Space is small, so a reservation is definitely needed. All run by chef and owner, Artist. That day we had the place almost all to ourselves and he made our experience one of a kind with his hospitality and attention. Eating delicious food while the guest musician played made for good vibes. We made quick friends with our dining neighbor and the whole restaurant just talked about life. Would definitely return again!“

“Been to this place twice! Soon as we got off the bus, we headed here. Oxtail is so good! I'm not usually a persons who likes fat on their meat, but they cook and season it so well that u can't help to clean the bone. Mac & cheese is so good and the yams are so sweet! Love a sweet & savory combo. That tea was sweet & refreshing. They were out of the potatoes and chickpeas which was great last time so next time! Such a staple when touchdown.“

“I recently had knee surgery and a friend gave me a $100 Grubhub gift card. I love soul food so this was the perfect use for the card! The food came fast and BOY was it good! We shared the seafood gumbo, thick and chunky with fish and vegetables, and my husband liked the catfish strips. I got the sampler with collard greens, hoppin' john, and candied yams as my sides. My husband got the ribs. The ribs were moist and meaty, the lightly breaded catfish was *chef's kiss*. The chicken was also excellent although I would have liked it slightly spicier. The sides were as good as can be! I LOVE collards and these were perfection! This was my first time eating hoppin' john, and it was delicious. I'll definitely order it again. There was also warm cornbread. Altogether it cost just under $100. A lot of food for the money and we had leftovers.“

“Roberta’s featured nice indoor/ outdoor décor, good food, a stacked bar and a live DJ doing a livestream keeping the place lively when I was there on a Friday night. It’s a place to go with or without friends, to meet people or on a lil dinner date. The service was excellent, and I love that it’s a Black-owned, family run business. I highly recommend it!“

The Mac and cheese with truffle oil( i think he said) hit the spot. I also had the skillet cabbage ?? my pallets was doing the happy dance. Please do your self a favor and go support him, you wont regret it.?????“

“I got the three-piece fried chicken with collard greens and sweet potato. Everything tasted fresh, and tasted great. Cornbread was a nice size, especially with three pieces of chicken. I also had the iced tea which was good. But it's a takeout place mainly. They do have some inside high tops outside.“

“I love this place.Went once in 2016 and recently in 2024. To this day it's the only place I've had fried chicken. Everything is done by weight so you'll pay less of you eat less. We got two really decent size meal and two soft drinks for 32 dollars. Good options for vegetables as well, which is not a given when traveling the US, I found.Vegetarian options: Brunch of salads and meatless sides.“

“Soul Food how it should taste in an old school Harlem restaurant. Very friendly staff that makes you feel home away from home. Excellent variety of southern food, salads and drinks. That is like 20 yrs back in time and light years from corporate America taking over 125th street.“

“Came here on a Tuesday evening and I strongly suggest visiting this establishment! It boasts a charming and comfortable atmosphere, good music and great with attentive staff providing excellent customer service. I highly advise making a reservation; we arrived to find it empty, but within five minutes, it was bustling with people.“
