“The last time I tasted Jollof rice of the caliber made here was in a local spot in Lagos, Nigeria where it is made in iron pots and cooked with firewood. I don't know how they did it, but it beats every jollof rice I have had in the US so far. I ordered it with chicken for my birthday party and it was a hit. Everyone wanted to take some rice to go after the party.The chef is also the kindest and most personable individual you would ever meet. She added extra portions and a little something on the side to commemorate my birthday and helped me drop off the food too. She has a customer for life.Thank you for the top notch food and over-the-top service experience.“

“Went here for the first time today and everything was delicious!!! The customer service was awesome and they give you a nice portion!!! Hubby said the yams were the best he’s ever had, and my favorite were the Lima beans!! The smothered chicken wings were delicious and we both loved the rice and gravy too!!!“

“I've been on staff at NJCU for over 20 years. Most campuses usually have great cafeterias with everything the students, staff and guests could want. But if sooo much is offered, everything can't be excellent. JBJSK-NJCU is a separate section of the cafeteria and everything I've had there is excellent. Been here 4 times in the previous semester, with the boss, with the colleagues, with the friends. None complained, and all left full and satisfied. They've got great meals, great dessert, friendly table service, their own special spice (also for sale!), and some cute merch to buy and gift to others. Price is so reasonable, and I love the organization's mission, and how we can make donations right there in the space to provide a meal for someone else.They are closed for the summer semester, but open again in the Fall and my whole office can't wait.“

“I got a pick up tonight. I think there was a sudden onslaught of orders and they weren’t prepared for it so it took a bit longer. I think that might also mean they prep everything fresh. The food was worth the wait though. Got the yard fowl pepper chicken and it was delicious and tender. The lemonade was fresh. The owner was kind enough to give a bottle complementary for the longer wait. Thank you for that! I would come back and order again from the store.“
