Ambiance and food were great. However, service was average at best. The two individuals at host stand could not be any less interested when we checked in for our reservation. It was the same as we left. The waiter was also not very attentive and had to be flagged down for service several times (we are the least fussiest group and simply wanted to order food and drinks) and this was a mid week evening where the place was not too busy. The Bar at the Baccarat has always been a favorite of mine in New York. It's absolutely STUNNING and always a luxurious treat or gorgeous place to bring out of town guests. Last week I had an appointment at the LaMer spa in the Baccarat and arrived at the hotel early to enjoy the bar as a special treat for my birthday.
