“It was mid-afternoon on a weekday. The bar had a few people around it and only 4 of the tables were occupied. Service was instant and fun. Draft beer selection was adequate. The Ruben and Mac salad delicious. Burger and fries very good. Have never had a different experience in 5 or 6 visits. Usually stop there when we cruise down the Erie Canal in the summer.“

“Nice sports pub. They have a pretty extensive menu and a page of specials. I had the stuffed peppers , which was one of the specials. They were pretty good. My husband had the southwestern salad. It was huge and could have easily been shared. We also had the broccoli cheddar soup which wasnt great. Good selection of drinks, lots of tv's and large menu so a good choice for dinner. Id def. return“

“Love this neighborhood bar and come here frequently when I’m in town. Have you ever wanted to have a chill time at a bar like the one from Cheers? Do you just want to have a drink where there’s no pretentiousness of a cocktail menu where you can’t even pronounce half the drink names? Do you want a bartender that’s actually friendly and will chat with you? This is it right here. You can tell lots of locals are here but also very friendly for new people. Lots of space to sit and tables. Pool and darts are lots of fun. Drinks and food are great and they have an awesome jukebox. You have to try this sandwich they have, Neil Clark, that’s Turkey cheddar sandwich. It’s amazing. Highly recommend! They even have trivia nights on some Wednesdays and I can’t wait to go next time I’m in town.“

“Ate there last night. Service was good. Manager Julie super friendly and welcoming. 3 of us had fish fries, 2 battered, 1 breaded. Large portions but a bit overcooked. Coleslaw portion small though. Broccoli with garlic butter had a topping that was a bit salty until I mixed it up. Delicious. Super attentive waitress. Never had to ask for a refill of ice tea she'd bring it upon noticing it was getting low. Wedge salad ginormous!! Almost entire head of lettuce!! Friendly staff and good service. Definitely going back for a 2nd try on the fish.“

“Great atmosphere with very good pool players. Melissa(Mel) has a unique touch of service - she ensures every drink rests beautifully on a coaster. I have observed her overtime, and she's meticulously consistent at it. Even when you change seats, she brings you a new coaster. This subtle but professional etiquette makes her standout. Overall, service is excellent!!“

“Stopped by Stone’s to meet a friend after work. The bar is located in a small renovated house with outdoor seating on the back deck. Friendly welcoming staff and patrons considering it’s similar to a “Cheers” bar where everyone knows each other. Nice daily food and drink specials, cheerful atmosphere, plenty of off street parking, and good prices. I had a grilled chicken sandwich with fries for $12! They also have a $10 burger night, and steak night (not sure of the cost). It’s worth a visit go check them out.“

“I had Haddock French with spaghetti and a piece of garlic bread. My wife had a French dip. The Haddock was perfectly cooked and the lemon sauce was the best I have ever had. The beef on the sandwich was plentiful and tasty. The food arrived quickly. Servers were friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back.“

“I stopped by this place with family while we were walking on the canal. It's a very short detour from the Canal towpath, and has outdoor seating, which is great in the summer. Tons of options, and very fair pricing. I got a sandwich, my wife got a salad, and my son got the chicken fingers. Each item was delicious. We will definitely be back.“

“Nice place. Wife and I went out Saturday night in the middle of a snow storm. Band playing was "Judahs" or something like that, can't remember. They were pretty good. Noah hooked us up with some amazing meatballs and trash plate. Cover was $5. easy parking in the lot adjacent. Worth a night out.Parking: Lot adjacent has QR code parking. It's safe to use, but easier if you already have Google pay or Apple pay installed in your phone. (You don't have to have it, it just makes it easier)Whole night of parking was like $4. No complaints“

“The Angry Goat Pub may just be my favorite bar in Rochester. The food and service alone make this one of the best neighborhood bars you can find. As a self-proclaimed garbage plate enthusiast and expert, Angry Goat Pub is in my top 3 favorite plates in Rochester. The main difference between this plate and others you can find in Monroe County is that the homefries are swapped for garlic Parmesan fries, and the meat sauce has goat cheese stacked on top. It's just so good and filling- I had it yesterday and I still haven't felt the feeling of hunger in almost 24 hours. Also importantly, Angry Goat's kitchen is open very late, which is the perfect time to eat one of their plates. The service has also consistently been great. Sometimes at dive bars getting served on a busy night can be a hassle, but here we have been treated very well and served efficiently. There has also been live music here on a pretty consistent basis, but I haven't seen anything like that here. For those looking for a neighborhood bar in the South Wedge, this is definitely the spot to be. Street parking can be a bit of a hassle, so just be careful if driving in.“

“Myself and two of our staff came here on a chance night when visiting Rochester. The staff was excellent (we got served by Nina). It was also a coincidence (or not) that this pub is also the official Arsenal pub for Rochester Gooners.Amazing experience and if ever back in Rochester, will come back again.“

“Great food. The service is very nice. It does take a little time as this restaurant, like others is not staffed to the brim. The only thing is that I would prefer to visit other restaurants that do not charge a service (CC) fee for using a card.“
“The bar has fun arcade games and a good crowd. But I come from Pittsburgh and Philadelphia PA, where the music goes from hip hop to funk to country to soft rock to rap to reggae to golden oldies. It seems like salingers and all the bars neighboring it ONLY play county music.. and no one ever dances. Just a bar full of people standing around. But good staff and fun people. The nonstop country just gets old, but this seems to be a New York State issue, not just Salingers“

“Decided to stop in for dollar wing days for linch with a friend. Lady (Jen i think) was amazing. Fast and friendly service and she made some delicious wings! Keep up the good work! I will definitely be back. Recommended. It also has one of those fun bells on the wall....but, ring it and buy the bar a round! Looks like a lot of darts played as well“

“Their plates and burgers are fantastic. And perhaps the best fries in the city. Be careful using the delivery services, sometimes it doesn't take. So give them a call, walk in because they're very friendly and helpful and you'll get a fantastic meal.“
