“The ambiance is stylish and comfortable, and the dishes are exquisite? We chose the ?$100 pp Omakase for 2 and also ordered a few appetizers and nigiri a la carte. The appetizers include a steamed egg—soft and smooth, with the sauce flavor just right—you can order it with added Uni.Since every ingredient was so fresh and sweet, we couldn't resist ordering more scallop, uni, and wagyu nigiri to satisfy our cravings~The cocktails were fruity and very professionally made?. The dessert's cheesecake has sesame flavor?Check this place out‼️“

“wanted to check out a speakeasy while in town and came across the newsroom on tiktok, due to their “stuff your own empanada experience”. nestled in a quiet area of queens, with easy access.lovely speakeasy ambiance with an aerialist performer & live vocal performances. the music they play is all jazzy covers of hit songs, so it fits the vibe so well.the empanadas and the filet mignon taquitos, were so tasteful and delicious.they give you a very decent amount of time to be there, in order to make room for more people. our server Alberto couldn’t have been kinder and more accommodating to our preferences & needs while there.would recommend this to anyone looking for a laid back speakeasy outside of the hustle and bustle of the major city or times square.“

“One of my favorite restaurants in all of Astoria! My husband and I always bring friends and family here when they visit the neighborhood. The staff is always so incredibly nice and generous (Miljan is usually our server and is so attentive and hilarious). We always have a wonderful time here, whether it’s a quiet weekday lunch or a packed Saturday night.“

“The view is beautiful of Manhattan, the mango margarita and tacos are delicious. The staff were very friendly and attentive as well. I had an overall great time for happy hour. Tacos are small $4 each (Birría taco in pic.) and Margarita $10 -$12 each if I remember correctly because of mango flavor.“

“had such a fun time! The space is so cozy and intimate. The drinks were soooo yummy, will definitely be back again in the future :)Were seated about a roughly 25 min wait at 9pm on a Friday night -- once seated we had a 90 minute window to enjoy the spot!“

“We came in by accident when we were riding a ferry from Manhattan. It's a great place. I really liked it here. Interior , dishes . The waiter served us quickly and advised us to try the fish, as I said that I love fish. Indeed, the food here is delicious, so I would like to recommend the restaurant to friends.“

“To understand what it means to be warm and inviting the context of my visit must be established.I walked by this cocktail bar. I was by myself and hesitant to enter a trendy/cool neighborhood spot at 9pm on a Saturday night. The hostess welcomed me in and showed me two options. "you can sit here, a communal table" or I have a table in the back. I didn't want to bother the establishment and take up a whole table. I am a low paying customer. I'm not going to order more than 1 mocktail. But the hostess insisted I be comfortable.I take the table. Order my drink. Pull out my book and read peacefully amongst the merriment. The tables nearby - dates, celebrations, catching up with friends. Pop music was playing. I kept turning my pages enjoying it too.I was checked up on by the server and the manager. Neither of who ever pressured me to leave and made sure I was comfortable. The hostess from before walked and again I told her, feel free to sit people at my table if it's crowded up front. "don't you worry. enjoy yourself." she said.I finished my drink, the chapter I was on, and accidentally blew out my candle that was providing me light. It was a sign to pack up and leave. I thanked my serve, paid and headed out.A women, from a table near mine, stopped me before I left. She commended me for doing what I did - enjoy a night to myself. I told her it helped to have a book. I proceed to the exit and saw the manager. I thanked him for not pressuring me. And finally the hostess. She told me I made her night, again for doing what I did - enjoy a night to myself. We shared a hug. And I left having had a great and welcoming night.“

“Yea, this place is amazing. We were looking for a quick bite in LIC on a hot day. We were able to sit down before the kitchen break at 3:30pm to order entrees. We sat in the outdoor seating area, which had great jungle ambiance. Servers were extremely friendly and knowledgeable. They have a great cocktail menu. Started off with a few drinks, the pisco sours were amazing. We tried the ceviche mixto and arroz con mariscos, fresh and delicious seafood. There is limited but parking available! Overall, great food, beautiful interior decor, great service, and decent pricing for the area.“

“I had an amazing time at this speakeasy! My group of 4 had a reservation.I think the expectations are pretty clear- if you expect to walk-in to an exclusive speakeasy, go early; if you're wish to go later, get a resy. People will be turned away if they're at capacity, especially if a big reservation is booked. It doesn't matter if your friends are inside- they have to follow code. The vibe is REALLY fun- it feels like a swanky house party with awesome music and drinks. I think the service was great for how busy it was. I only drank is beers, but my friends had fun cocktails and shots. Everyone is so friendly. They also put a gratuity charge on larger party's bills, so that's helpful.I love speakeasies. Cannot recommend RRLIC enough!“

“I cannot say enough good things about this restaurant. This was our second time here and it has quickly become one of our goto places in Astoria. From the greeting at the door to the selection of great wine and cocktails- all unique because the are craft brews- to the staff answering our many questions about the very different and delicious menu to the quality of the food- an awesome experience. Last week we were there and enjoyed live jazz and the musicians mingled and talked with us. The decor is very comfortable. Looking forward to attending the special event nights, too. See you next week- if not before!!“

“A nearly perfect combination of ambiance and food. Got there at 7pm on a Saturday night and was able to snag a table for two. Ordered the ricotta, honey, and pepperoni pizza. It was close the best pizza of its kind I have ever had. Generous selection of wines and smart cocktails. Pastas are also very good. Reasonably priced. Just an overall well executed restaurant.“

“Early March my and wife and I held a baby shower there. They were extremely accommodating with us and our guest. They also were very friendly and it worked out very well. We had families and most of the ladies at the tables and we had filled the bar with our drinkers and younger crowd.Music was good/ food was good / service was great! Anne was such a great manager worked hand in hand with our coordinator to make that day such a great experience.Overall 10/10 would highly recommend your next event there.“

“This is my first time at this restaurant. My friend found it for us and he specifically picked it because he heard it had good cocktails. we ordered four different cocktails. All of them were pretty good. I wish I remembered the names of them but the blue cup with the pink outside was one that was my favorite. By far the ceviche was bomb. The guac a little bit of flavor for me, but mixing it with the ceviche made that even pretty darn good. Really enjoyed the fish taco over the other two pictured. we got the Maduros which were fresh and yuka fries. we also got the octopus which I thoroughly enjoyed. The chipotle, shrimp in the pineapple was honestly not my favorite. My friend really enjoyed it as he enjoyed sweet dishes, but it was too sweet for me. Overall, I definitely recommend a place. Definitely get the ceviche and the octopus! And I'm not even a big seafood person to say that. The service was great, and while we were there, the waiter even gave us a shot on the house. So check it out.“

“Lady provided great service? Food, drinks were all delicious. Had fries and fried shrimp to start. Salmon and fried rice both infused. Fried rice wasn’t as flavorful as I wanted but salmon was cooked perfectly with great taste. The lemonade and strawberry cheesecake were both sweet and yummy. I will definitely return next “

“It was date night!!! Double date night that is. My close boy and I planned a secret double date with our significant other. They did not know it was a double until we met up at the door of Salvaje social club. let me just say the ambiance did not disappoint at all, the wild jungle theme had me loving every minute of my walk in and stay. Throughout the night the smoke machine would random blow smoke give the place a misty look. The music was pumping all night long and kept us in an upbeat vibe. The selection of music was mainly Spanish music, they did sprinkle in some English music but for most the night it was reggaeton etc. Although I didn't understand what was being said I surely loved the beat of every song that played. The staff at salvaje was very quick, informative of the menu, polite and friendly. We started off with the seeds of passion which was very tasty and strong. We did two rounds of that drink, couldn't get enough of it lol. I then had a Hennessy and pineapple juice , I don't know what pineapple juice was used but it was so good along with the Hennessy. For starters we had the shrimp toastadas and let me tell you it was amazing , I highly recommend it. Two of us ordered the Milton's rice and the other two ordered chicken on the cut. The rice was well fried and seasoned along with the shrimp, it was just a bit salty but i still loved it, the food really did not let me down at all. We stuck around after eating to drink more and dance a bit during our stay. I'll give Salvaje a 10/10 for vibes 10/10 for drinks 9/10 for Food 10/10 for service 10/10 for ambiance“

“For starters, being a local who’s been working in the bar industry (craft beer, specifically) for a few years, Aftermath is an absolute gem. Watching their cocktail and spirits focus expand under Rudy has been a joy- their menu is eclectic, wild, ambitious, but always palatable and approachable. Everything feels intentional and grounded, blending a rich catalogue of familiar and adventurous flavors. The beer program seems as strong as ever, which coming from being under Bierwax’s (the fantastic (and still advising/influencing??) Maestro’s) direction, is a huge compliment. You can expect a tightly curated and varied selection of regional, hyper-local, and import brews on draft and in cans/bottles that easily competes with some of the better known taprooms in the city. They’re introducing expanded snack/food options as well, which I’m looking forward to.I could go on and on… The atmosphere. The simple but pleasing decor and layout. The vinyl listening experience, live performers and events. The weekend DJ’ing that always feels natural, fun, integrated, and completely unforced. The service that makes you feel welcome, valued, and cared for way beyond what you’d expect of a relatively upscale craft beverage bar.Aftermath is just one of those places where you have to really stretch to find something wrong with it, and they’re obviously only going to get better with time. Best of luck ?“

“I was asked to leave tonite due to an incident with a friend of mine a few weeks ago. I feel extremely apologetic and I must admit the bartender handled it with class. I'm sad because I was hoping for this to be my new fave local. All the best! I hope no hard feelings.“

“Super aesthetically pleasing interior with floral walls and dark green chairs. It's not a huge space but it's well thought out. Had the hibiscus margarita and the spicy Paloma, both refreshing drinks. The vegan cauliflower with pesto dish is a favorite. For entree, I had the surf and turf burrito. It came with a side salad. I did not have room for dessert but they had churros on the menu which I will have to try next time. Service was quick and the food came out pretty quickly.“

“Enjoyed date night at the rooftop bar to catch sunset. Amazingly friendly and attentive service. Decent decor with fantastic views. Turns out it's not really a restaurant, they only have small bites of mixed quality -- think spinach artichoke dip, 10" pizzas and shellfish. Cute but not dinner. Super loud/terrible live music ruined the sunset patio, we moved to the other side for ocean views which were more serene. If they had a more full menu and toned down the live music it'd be a gem.“

“Came here with a friend from Brooklyn. It wasn't too busy. Got seated right away. We ordered eggs Benedict and chicken & waffles, and sweet potato fries. They have $7 Mimosas with 3-4 flavors. So the mimosas were pretty good. Tried 3 different flavors: passion fruit, lychee, and pineapple. We both really liked the lychee one. Although it was a touch sweeter than I would have liked. My friend liked her eggs Benedict. Basically licked the plate. We chowed down on the fries. Although neither of us cared much for the sauce that came with it. So we had them bring us ketchup. It's hard to find a place that makes a good chicken & waffles. Their waffle was good, balanced with flavor good texture. The chicken was good too. Breaded nicely, tasty and moist inside. Wish they gave maple syrup with it though or just honey. They gave me some over processed syrup like log cabin but it was fine Service was great too. Our server was on it. She always appeared at the right time. Just when our drinks were getting low or if we had a question. Food also came out at a nice pace. Looking forward to our next visit.“

“The food was excellent with really good flavors and at a super reasonable price point. For apps, we got the veggie samosas, which were excellent. We got the chicken tikka masala and the truffle korma with chicken for mains with a side of garlic naan and paratha.the garlic naan was INSANE- so light, crispy, and fluffy at the same time. i literally could have eaten two orders. out of the two chickens we got- definitely recommend the chicken tikka masala. It definitely a small spot, with limited space. You also get served with paper plates and take out containers, which we didn’t mind, but just a heads-up.I definitely recommend for take out and will be back!“

“Definitely more of a local bar. Feels sort of divey with still a nice ambiance to it. We snagged a high top and had a cocktail which was good but required a bit of a wait. “Dropped in here a few weeks ago for some drinks and catching up with my friend that lives nearby. I think I had passed this a bunch of times in my adventures of going to Jackson Heights but never checked it out. One perk automatically, there's a check in special of a complimentary glass of Sangria! I haven't seen a check-in special in you don't know how long. It was really exciting. I went with the red sangria and then later ordered their take on a smoked old fashioned. Both were very potent and delicious. The aroma of the old fashioned was amazing. We also ended up getting a flan desert. Now this is going to sound ridiculous but I normally hate flan and this was really delicious. It had a texture that wasn't too jiggly and just creamy surrounded with beautiful strawberries and layered with caramel. It was almost more like a custard and I'll take custardy flan over jello flan every day. Their menu and brunch menu sounds delicious and would definitely think about coming back to try more.“

“Hot spot on Ditmars any given day of the week! My friend and I came on a Thursday for an embroidery class that was given by Caitlyn from Lemon water studios. The class was in the covered outdoor area in the back. It started at 6:30pm which meant that the sun started to set on us early on into the class and it kinda hindered our eyesight with the needle and thread embroidery business going on so we had to make use of little lamps that were given to us. It was a fun event that I would definitely recommend. We enjoyed mojitos and Korean bbq chicken sandwiches with fries…..yum!“

“I was originally going to Sofun noodles around the corner but when I got there they told me nothing could be made gluten free (I have celiac and thought the rice noodles would be ok). So Yelp came to the rescue and I'm so glad I tried this place! The gluten free margherita pizza was possibly the BEST gf pizza I've ever had. Chewy, soft, pillowy crust. “It was a cold Saturday and I was yearning for a carb filled meal topped off with drinks. This was my second time coming to Queens Bully, the first time was literally 5 years ago and I don't recall my experience here much. I drove on over from Brooklyn and sat at the bar. Inside is a very rustic setting with a open space concept. The bartender was extremely professional, attentive and very nice. He overall knew what he was doing when I asked for a cosmopolitan and it was by far one of the best I've had in quite some time. I then ordered a painkiller which he recommended and boy was it good. I had to drive so it was a 2 drink minimum for me but I surely felt tipsy. I ordered the shrimp Mac it was so cheesy, creamy and packed with flavor. The shrimps were grilled just right and had a jerk taste to it, it did not let me down one bit. The atmosphere within Queens Bully is pretty uplifting with modern music, the staff is very friendly, the food is delicious and so are the drinks. I'll be back for sure“

“I’ve been coming to Rolo’s since they first opened and they really never disappoint. The food just gets better and better. Everything is amazing but my hands down favorite is the shrimp. I’d say it’s easily some of if not the best shrimp I’ve ever had in my life. The whole menu just compliments itself from the Calabrian chili butter to the wagyu steak. Also, Sitting in the back of the restaurant is such a cool experience because you get to watch the chefs work their magic on that wood fire grill. This is definitely one of the best restaurants in NYC and in my top 5.“
