“Hands-down this is the best place for ice cream on the North Fork. During the summer, there are lines down the street to get into this place , so off-season it's a breeze to get the best ice cream or soft serve. Staff are very friendly and I highly recommend this place all year round! Gave it 4 stars bc it lacks ambience (yet you will not care!!). The homemade pistachio ice cream is something you must try . And it is right next door to Funchos, another great local place to frequent.”

“Fantastic Polish Deli and grocery run by some really nice people. They have a big selection of kielbasa and their prepared dishes are delicious. Their stuffed cabbage was fantastic with so much flavor. The pigs knuckle was also extremely good if you're into that. There was also a large pastry section that I'm going back to check out.”

My mother has Celiac and was over the moon that she could have anything on the menu! My shakshuka was good, she loved her chicken sandwich. But the star of lunch was the fried calamari. The place is cute and intimate, good music playing. We'll be back next time we're near.”

“I loved the old world charm of this hidden gem.While traveling in Riverhead it is infrequent that I am not on a main road.I searched Restaurants in Riverhead was rewarded for my diligence.We shared an appetizer of the “Stuffies” which turned out to be the best baked clams I have had in years.My dinner meatloaf dinner ( true comfort bliss) came with soup of the day, a wonderful creme of tomato soup. This soup was so good it reminded me of the saucy taste of good baked ziti.I was going to order one of the specials which was sauerbraten. One of the last portions were served at the table next to us. (Next time)It looked great, as did all the plates passing by our table.The restaurant was very clean with an old world feel, great service.I will definitely be going back regularly, I will tell my friend’s. You should give this a try it is not fancy but it a true gem and well worth trying, you will be glad you did.”

“Great little spot in Riverhead, behind town. Old firehouse converted to a brewery, brilliant. The beer was great. We had Butternut Squash! Also the food truck was good, a Wing place. They had fried chicken but tasty. Boneless was good, fried pickles were good and the chili was really good. Overall, a cool, local hangout. The lights inside probably should be a bit dimmer, it has that town board/school meeting lighting type of feel. Too bright which gave it one star less for me. Daytime probably has no issues. Other than that, it was cool! Tell 'em Barsnobs sent ya!”

“Been here a couple of times, and the place deserves a review. It's a small but clean and bright family-run place where the service is prompt and solicitous. The food runs from the merely good to the slap-yo-madre. The tacos al pastor are merely good, but the guacamole is excellent, as are the chorizo tacos and the tacos dorados, and then the mole poblano--WHAP, "Hijo, porque me pegas así?" It's homemade liquid brown magic with just a tiny hint of clove that sets it apart from every other mole I've ever had, and I'm talking about dozens. Served with hot corn tortillas, pure paraíso. Nice licuados, too.”

So cute and old fashioned. Also, I love their egg creams and their chocolate shakes! Definitely worth ordering. Everything is reasonably priced and just perfectly made. It's just nice to have some simple foods perfectly made! Highly recommend to anyone in town for the day. (Hours are unpredictable so just give them a call before heading over, but honestly it's part of the charm, it's a family place!)”

“This place is amazing. I ordered a Dave’s double and while the manager took my order, she was “playfully” aggressive with the workers saying she is not afraid to hit them in front of the customers. Once my food was ready I told her “thank you” and her reaction was like “no problem have a nice day” in a grumpy face. She hasn’t smiled to the other customers one bit. I also think she talked behind my back. The food was really good though. The innocent workers deserve a raise. Best Wendy’s experience I had in my life”

“I've been wanting to try Shadees since it was featured on the news during the beginning of the pandemic! Finally, finally, finally got to try their delicious takeout menu! Friendly service and clean establishment. We ordered the jerk chicken and curry chicken lunches as well as a couple spicy beef patties and a couple pieces of their fried chicken. We wanted to try as much as possible and have some leftovers for dinner! Great lunch portions and flavor! I found the jerk chicken to be a little dry but it had a nice flavor. The fried chicken had a lovely breading that had a nice crunch and light texture. The curry chicken was sooo good (my favorite!), as were the sides that we chose: rice, beans, and plantains. The beef patties were excellent as well. I'm not a huge fan of chicken with bones in them, but I'm sure the bones contributed to the rich flavor. I did find myself picking out very small chunks of bone, so be careful when eating. I'm so glad I had the opportunity to try this authentic Jamaican food and definitely recommend others try it as well!”

I had the pasta dish and it was just OK. I've had better pasta dishes from my local Italian restaurant. Would I recommend this place? Probably but would I come back? Probably not, unless it was a nice day. With that said, if you can try to get here on a nice weather day, you won't be disappointed with the food or the ambience. And hopefully you'll come on a day when the service is slightly better. I would give FCK 3 1/2 stars, but since this is not an option, I will round up to four.”
