“My family and I enjoyed a nice brunch. Coquito French toast, chocolate chip pancakes, scrambled eggs and hash browns, Cuban sandwich, and sweet plantains were all excellent. Only area for improvement was that the time to bring out the main course was too long (20 or 30 minutes) after we had finished the plantains.“

Tough to find good Italian authentic food these days. From the minute I walked in the door so accommodating, The food was to die for, definitely not finishing an entree. “I came here with a group of friends a long while back in July, for my birthday celebration and made reservations!We had an outdoor seating, and it was absolutely beautiful and nicely organized! The staff was super friendly, and had a very good attitude whilst they gave out our appetizers and meals! The baked clams, and the burrata was very tasty and super fresh!!!Moving onto the entree, I ordered Penne Alla Vodka and it was the best thing I ever had! It had such a savory taste, and it was a very good size portion since I took some of it home with me.Lastly, the staff surprised me with some birthday dessert and all came out together to sing along, which was really sweet and wholesome! The dessert was really good, I assume it was the chocolate moosse cake? But whatever it was was very moist and had amazing taste!Overall, I recommend on coming here for birthdays, a nice date, for celebratory dinner, or family dinner as it’s a really nice place and I love the outdoors atmosphere!!!“

“I always have the skirt steak..it’s my favorite steak. Hubby always has the filet.. Both are delicious. The onion soup is also very good. The Sangria is delish…They do have a price fix menu… which has both the skirt steak and the filet… always a fabulous meal..“

“Outstanding! We went for Mother's Day. Party of 7. There was no outrageous Mothers Day offerings. Just straight off the menu with specials. Patrick was so accommodating and got us the best corner table. Ryan greeted us at the bar for drinks and was awesome while waiting for our preferred table. Alexandra and Katlin were amazing with service as was the rest of the table staff. Food was unbelievably good. This restaurant is simply the best!“

“I can not believe that this restaurant has been here on Main Street in Port Jefferson Village for over 20 years and I never ate there!!! This is my new Favorite place to eat. The food was exceptional and good size portions. The pita bread they put out on the table was so delicious I could have made that my meal. The service was extremely attentive and so personable. “After my third time dinning at Arlo I finally got to write a review. Everything was great starting with the hostess. Alexander G was the most attentive service and made our dinner a really memorable one. Joe, the sommelier is beyond knowledgeable about every wine and recommended a great bottle to go with dinner. The food was out standing, got the tuna tartar and Cesar salad for starters for dinner we had a delicious skirt steak and filet with truffle butter. Cannot wait to go back to dinner. “I've been wanting to dine here for quite some time and finally had a chance. We made reservations to celebrate my friend's birthday. The staff was great. When you arrive, you are greeted by very friendly valet attendants. Make sure you tip them well. They are fabulous, and there is no charge for the service.Our server's name was Mary Rose. Very nice lady. She didn't miss a beat and made sure to celebrate my friend's birthday. Excellent service!As for the food, we ordered from the specials. The clams were fabulous. We did have to request bread a few times, but it was worth it because the sauce was that good. You wanted to enjoy every drop.We also ordered the lobster bisque. It had a few pieces of real lobster in it, but the broth had too much corn starch or whatever thickener they used. It made it thick like glue and not very tasty. This was disappointing, especially after such a wonderful appetizer.The swordfish was seasoned and cooked perfectly. It came with risotto, which was completely overcooked and mushy. It went back, and a side of plain potatoes with shredded carrots and stringbeans were brought out in its place. The string beans should have been prepped better. I almost choked on one because it had not been prepped. We also ordered the grouper, which was also good. It was served with mashed potatoes. They were buttery. I would suggest them over the roasted potatoes any day.For dessert, we ordered carrot cake. It was great. Not overly sweet and covered with a lot of nuts. The whipped cream was fresh and thick. It was served with a fresh strawberry.This is a really beautiful restaurant with great service. Perhaps the kitchen was having an off night, but it was a decent evening. I can't rate it 5 stars for the food, but everything else was great. I can't say I am going to rush back here, but if I come back, I hope the food is better, especially for the price.Parking: The valet are great. Tip them well. They work hard!“

The margarita pizza and the vodka pie are both great.I was prompted to review with 5 stars because i ordered a ginger ale, and they didnt have any. Not only did they read the order instructions and replace it with a sprite, they also left an apology note on my drink! “Last night we had a delectable dinner at Basil. The chilien sea bass jumped from the sea in my plate. The seasoning was perfect. The rice was cooked to perfection. The cuisine is light and tasty. My husband had the beef skewers which he enjoyed and he is very difficult to please. Desert got a high mark with the baklava and the chocolate bread pudding which you should not miss. The service was perfect. The ambiance was noisy and bubbly. We will definitely return to Basil for its excellent table.“

“DJ's harkens back to my days as an undergrad at UC Berkeley. It is a stone's throw from the Stony Brook campus on long island. Cheap, fast, informal, and great food. “Good pizza please you can go pick your slice of pizza. They bake it in front of you. It was not bad. They don’t have jalapeños. I am from Texas so I was looking for that, but yeah, I did put like raw on the end and some kind of pepper on there, they have good stuff just go try it and you will like it. I gave him four out of five because I think I’ve had better pizzas or maybe I don’t know but just 4 out of 5 is good enough.“

“We wanted to go to kodabuki but they were closed , we looked on yelp and found this gem im so happy we went here it was absolutely fantastic !! “We had a Mothers Day celebration Sunday at this fabulous seafood restaurant. There were 15 of us- 9 adults and six children between 5 and 12. We traveled an hour to get there. The food was delicious- fresh, tasty and the portions were so large that everyone took a doggy bag home. It was served by a great staff including Angel who was our server. The owner, Donna, was very cordial and friendly. Everyone had a great time. We can't wait for our next family dinner to return. This is a must restaurant if you are a seafood lover!!“

“Came here on a casual night drive and by dinner time we didn't know where to stop to eat. We were driving on the 27A and looking for places for dinner and we came across this place with very good ratings. Food is very good and well made. The Miso soup was not overly salted as some other Japanese places I've been. The décor is very typical of Japanese as it has these semi private booths which I have never seen before in any Japanese restaurants. Really liked this place and service was attentive. Even though it's a bit far from where I live I will def stop by when I am near this establishment.“

“I have no idea why it has taken me so long to try this place but I went in for my sister's birthday a few weeks ago. We ordered the wood ear mushroom salad, edamame and the Shanghai soup dumplings for appetizers. The mushrooms are reason alone to go back. My entrée was the dry pot chicken which came in a wok lit by sternos underneath and full of dried peppers with a perfect amount of Sichuan peppercorns. My mouth was oscillating between the delicious burn and the tingling and numbing effects of the peppercorns. The other entrées were fantastic. Beef flat noodles with a savory sauce, a mountain of port fried rice, and a delicious pork noodle dish. For dessert, perfectly fried and sugared sweet potato cakes. My one real regret is not going to this place sooner. Our server was lovely and the owners made my sister's day special.“

“To start my review, I just wish there were more stars in the food and service category. Trio deserves 10 ⭐'s for both.This restaurant handles two types of food service, restaurant seating and catering for small to large parties. I've now experienced both. My most recent was a repast after a funeral. When everyone is emotional, the last thing the family needs is problems with the food service. Well, in our case, more people showed up than were originally expected. The staff at Trio didn't miss a beat. They set up additional tables in a flash and quickly had the tables set. We had buffet style dining and the selection was outstanding, with something for everyone. From soup to nuts, everything was delicious. They had fish, beef, vegetarian selections and even offered coffee and dessert. (by the way, if I had known how good the desserts would've been, I might have eaten a little less dinner.)The service is impeccable, everything is clean and fresh, the linens and tablecloths were spotless.I'd like to add that Trio is on the grounds of the Holbrook Country Club. You can grab lunch and drinks after you play, just show up and they accommodate parties of all sizes. You won't be disappointed!“
