“Giving it 4 stars only because certain items here are very sweet like Paneer Makhani. It tasted like candy to me. This is constructive feedback so you’re able to improvise on the Paneer Makhani and add more flavor to it than just sweetness.PS: They definitely know how to cook Indian food as other items tasted good from my previous experience.“

I must admit that It’s easy to miss if you’re coming here as it’s a bit small and hidden away.Me and my partner have personally enjoyed the Butter Chicken and Lamb Korma.“

“BEST SAATVIK FOOD!Finally got to relish the amazing Indian food that I always saw on social media. The food quality and quantity are perfect. It was nice to experience quality vegetarian food at a reasonable price. They also sell packaged snacks and sweets. Only disappointment was the coffee. It didn’t taste like authentic South Indian coffee.“

“The best Indian Food in the solar system ?.Apart from a wall drawing of the Himalayas across us, the very friendly waiter and waitress put on their massive TV screen a trail journey along the endless mountain range. It felt like dining out in nature at 15,000 feet. The elements, us and our Chicken Tikka Masala, samosas and naan bread. Good luck beating that !!“

“It’s been a little over two weeks since I’ve been here and I’ve had Indian food elsewhere and cannot get out my head the amazing food I had here. I had the Butter Paneer with the Chili Garlic Naan and I still think about it, hoping I find it elsewhere. I cannot. Looking forward to going back! Service was also amazing; they were very attentive and kind. Only thing strange was how empty it was, no problem getting a table with a party of three.“

“I MAY HAVE JUST FOUND MY NEW FAVORITE INDIAN RESTAURANT IN NEW YORK. Food: I had the Lamb Vindaloo. The spice had me sweating, but that's my favorite kind of spice. So packed with flavor and the lamb pieces buried in the curry was so juicy and tender. Delicious to dip some garlic naan into. My gf thoroughly enjoyed her Chicken Korma as well. My mouth is watering thinking about a bite. Can't wait to be back. Service: Amazing service. Incredibly friendly and attentive. Checked up on us frequently to make sure we had everything we need. Ambiance: Cute little restaurant. Will definitely be back. They do delivery as well!“

“I visited De Tandoori Knight on a Saturday 4/6/24. I was dining alone. The customer service was excellent. The restaurant was small but very clean and organized. The prices were excellent and the portions were great. I ordered Chicken Korma with Basmati rice, regular Naan bread and a Mango Lassi. The chicken was very tender, the sauce was creamy, delicious and not spicy. The Naan was good. I loved the Lassi. I had leftovers. I will definitely be returning. I am Puerto Rican and grew up in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Growing up here there were no Indian restaurants. So happy to see more Indian restaurants now. I've been eating Indian food for about 20 years. To my Latinos try Indian food you might just love it. Not all dishes are Spicy. Visit this restaurant you may just love it like I did.“

“Came here with my parents for dinner since we wanted them to try momos! The restaurant is nice inside with a homey feel. Our waitress was super attentive. We tried a bunch of dishes including beef momos, chicken momos with johl on the side, lollipop chicken, 2 orders of garlic naan, chicken tikka masala, the Nepalese goat curry dish, and beef chow mein. We came here for the momos and we're honestly a bit disappointed. They weren't as juicy as some of the Momo trucks we tried. No white or hot sauce to drizzle either. We never had johl before (+$2 charge which we weren't aware of). The johl is served cold which surprised us. We really liked the chicken lollipop, garlic naan, and beef noodles. Everything was served super hot. Solid spot if you're looking to try Nepalese food for the first time but it is lacking a bit in flavor...“

“I just moved to Forest Hills and had a great time here with my adult cousin and 1 year old daughter (both were celebrating birthdays). Naren was our server-very friendly, very attentive, and so sweet with my daughter. We enjoyed the food (we ordered a lot) and my one year old loved the dal tadka and rice-she basically ate half of an adult entree and finished the rest the next day! My cousin and I ordered the beef biryani and butter chicken for main dishes (two parathas too), and the samosa chat for an appetizer. All great. The beef was spicy but we could handle it as Bangladeshis. Highly recommend this adorable place with excellent service!“

“Come for the goats brains and stay for the biryani! For real though, don't shy away from the goat brains. First off, if no one told you what it was, you might just think it was tofu just based on the texture and presentation. I love sweetbreads, so this was not a stretch for me and my adventurous and trusting friend liked them too! There is a reason it is a hit on the menu. We LOVED our food. The only thing I would pass on was the dahi batata puri. The filling was a bunch of saucy stuff and I wanted more texture and something to sink my teeth into, know what I mean? The Lucknow dum biryani was the shiz and I am mighty miffed I left it in my friend's car and she lives too far away to reclaim it. It was also served in a really unique way covered with a layer of bread, much like a pot pie. Portions were great. When I come to the city, I usually stick to Manhattan out of convenience. This time I went out of my way to go to Queens for this place. It was worth it! I really enjoyed my midget sized margarita. It was tasty and potent enough to put some hair on tour chest. I shall return! Make a reservation if you can.“

“We ordered mango lassis, which were good. For the entrees, we tried chicken Tikka Masala and eggplant kurma. The chicken Tikka Masala was good, since there was a good amount of chicken in the gravy. It also was mild. I would not order the eggplant dish again, since the gravy and heavy cream in it was very overwhelming. I couldn't really appreciate the taste of the eggplant chunks in the gravy sauce. Each entree came with rice, which we didn't consider when we were ordering naans. We ordered garlic naans, which were good. Each naan has 4 pieces. The service was excellent. They had some soft Indian music playing in the background. Overall, the experience was good. There is a big parking lot in the back. Apparently, they have buffet lunch on Friday and weekends, so I might return to try that out.“

“was excited to try this new spot in the neighborhood and was very pleased with it. got the dal tadka and mango lassi; the dal was so well seasoned/spiced and so comforting, and the lassi was delicious -- creamy and mango-y and not overly sweet. ordering online was easy, my food was ready promptly, and portions were a good size. excellent takeout experience, and well-priced; will definitely be back soon!“

“The food is clearly the only reason Triniciti Roti Shop and Restaurant is so popular. Lines form around the block on weekends, and even on a cold, windy Wednesday afternoon the restaurant was packed with hordes of hungry diners smiling in anticipation of the pleasure of eating at this truly fine establishment. The food is hot, fresh and literally fantastic. At Trinciti, it's all about the taste and texture of the chickpeas, which, along with the tamarind chutney, cucumber and hot sauce, form the heart of the doubles. The lamb, chicken and oxtail were outstanding. The oxtail and lamb were tender and flavorful. The slight sweetness of the oxtail was pleasingly intriguing. The portions are much larger than the doubles available at roti shops in the area and the prices are commensurate with them. Don't miss the homemade peanut punch. It was fresh, mild and not too sweet. The gentleman behind the counter highly recommended him, and he was right. This peanut punch is made fresh daily and sells out before the end of the day. You can't miss this.Food is fairly and squarely the one and only reason the Triniciti Roti Shop and Restaurant is so popular with lines that go round the block on weekends and even on a cold, windy Wednesday afternoon, there was a packed restaurant with hordes of hungry guests smiling in Anticipating the treat of eating at this honest to goodness place. The food is hot, fresh and awesome in every sense of the word. Trinciti is particularly about the taste and consistency of the Chana or the Garbanzo beans that form the heart of the doubles along with the tamarind chutney, cucumber and hot sauce.. The lamb, chicken and the oxtail were superb. The oxtail and lamb were tender and flavourful. That light sweetness in the oxtail was happily intriguing. The portion sizes are much bigger than the doubles available in the Roti shops in the area and the prices match. The home made peanut punch is not to be missed. It was fresh, smooth and not too sweet. The gentleman behind the counter highly recommended it and he was right. That peanut punch is made fresh daily and it runs out before the day is done. It is not to be missed.“

“I was in a rush since my order from another restaurant was stolen. I arrived from my job site to order so food. I wanted to be in and out of the store given the fact that I was still working. I asked the gentleman at the counter if it was possible to order samosas quick and just leave meaning I’d heat them myself. He told me it would take a couple minutes to make them…that they would be Fresh and Delicious. I sat down and waited. Not long after I was presented with Fresh,Hot deliciousness …You can imagine my surprise. They went out of their way to prepare fresh food and they did so in record time. I ordered 2 samosas and you can see in my order they went above and beyond. I meant to add a review months ago but never got around to it until now. They have so much stuff to choose from. There is no bad dishes that exist on this menu. A must try. 10/10“

“This is one of my favorite Indian restaurants in the city by far. It is open super late which is great for late night workers like myself. I am a vegetarian and there is a large selection of vegetarian options here, not sure about pure vegans but there should be plenty of options for them to as they have a large vegetarian selection with out dairy products. They are very accommodating to all dietary types on the staff is extremely friendly. I come here quite often and I’ve got to know some of the staff a little bit overtime. They know you and your order and they are very accommodating if you have any dietary restrictions. This place is a great place to bring groups of people. I particularly like the nan. Their coconut nan is really interesting and good. I always get the vegetable soup here which is excellent and they have a large selection of vegetarian/vegan type Currys of which I get many. I really like the lemon rice as well. Their samosas are really fire.Vegetarian options: Large selection of veg appetizers and mains.Dietary restrictions: Perfect for vegetarians.Parking: Lots of free parking spaces right in front of the restaurant.“

“I wanted a meal that I hold close to my heart, some steaming hot rice, and a decent curry. There were many colorful options on display, we ordered goat biryani, mutton curry, and a hilsa thaali. The thaali came with a comforting bowl of lentils, and some mashed potatoes. The tasty gravy couldn’t mask the fact that the fish wasn’t fresh. The mutton curry was perfect! “Me and my girlfriend always enjoy getting takeout here. It is tucked away in a quieter part of Woodside and they serve high quality Nepalese food. We especially like the Thali's which consists of different kinds of food on a platter (think Banchan but larger portions). They consist of: protein (typically in a curry), lentils, vegetable curry, rice, raw red onion/lemon/slightly bitter green vegetable/chili pepper. The combination of all of these ingredients make the dish so appetizing as there are different textures and tastes.“

“There is a lack of good Indian restaurants in Queens but I can say this restaurant is definitely the best Indian restaurant in Forest Hills (and Central Queens) and one of the best in the city. It's a small restaurant but clean, minimal, and welcoming; one half of the restaurant looks basic while the other half has South Asian inspired murals which is unique. This restaurant focuses on serving popular Indian dishes loved by people in the US, so I got a basic meal of lamb biryani, butter chicken, chili chicken, and cheese naan. The lamb biryani is not made like a slow cooked biryani but it has the flavor of proper Indian biryanis, and the lamb was actually tender and not very gamey. I asked for a medium spice Butter Chicken and I must say this restaurant has some of the best butter chicken and the medium spice is tolerable. I think some people underestimate how hard making a proper butter chicken is, but many restaurants overwhelm the dish with either too much cream or too much tomato so its either too heavy/sweet or too acidic and tomatoey, but this one was very much balanced. The chicken pieces were also soft. The chili chicken was nice and spicy, with some peppers and onions, you get a nice, saucy, spicy, and crunchy dish to start off your meal. The cheese naan was a bit of a let down though, it was not that cheesy and I believe the cheese used was paneer, so it does not give the taste, feel, or pull like mozarella would. Overall, this restaurant has the best Indian food in the neighborhood and does it right. Their staff and manager are also very attentive and they make time to talk to everyone for feedback and meal requests.Vegetarian options: Lot of cauliflower, paneer, and potato dishesWheelchair accessibility: Restaurant is technically in a basement but there is an elevator you can use to go down“

“New Ranglla is an excellent choice for Indian when staying at the local JFK airport hotels. It would be an excellent choice if you lived in the area. In the past I have had the Chicken Masala, Chicken Makhani (Butter Chicken) and Lamb Vindaloo. Naan bread is excellent. the rice perfectly cooked. All tasted excellent and came in large portions. Entrees are in the $8 to $9 range, well worth the price. Service was fast and courteous. Last time I ordered there was a $15 minimum order for delivery. This was not the case in the past. New Ranglla is also open 24 hours a day 7 days a week, this makes it great for those late night hotel arrivals. FYI - order your beer here and avoid the hotel bars. For me this is the go to place when in a JFK hotel.“
