“Fun, casual atmosphere. The music is a bit loud, but not very. I bring headphones when eating alone but I also love the music. The chettinad curry with lamb was great. It's coconut based and pretty thick and fattening, but very good. I got it with butter free roti and it came with rice. The lamb was not too fatty and was very tender - really excellent! Might not get the curry again because it is so fattening with all the coconut milk, or maybe I can just avoid eating all the coconut milk curry and only eat some of it plus the meat. The chicken vepudu is good and interesting. I'm not sure if it comes without dairy by default or if you have to order it special with no dairy. It is a bit hot for me but if I take breaks between eating then it's not too hot. It comes with lightly fried batter, maybe lightly fried onions and other things, and the meat is tender. Would get again.Dietary restrictions: They have dairy free options“

“Tamarind Tribeca provided an exceptional dining experience. We started with the flavorful Lasuni Gobhi and Tandoori Mixed Grill, both of which were delicious and well-prepared. The Lasuni Gobhi and Dal Makhani (from the Mixed grill) was a standout, bursting with garlic and spice. For drinks, the Mango Cosmo was a refreshing choice, perfectly balanced and complementing the meal.Moving on to the main course, the Paneer Pasanda and Murgh Kohlapuri were good but not outstanding (maybe we expected more from a Michelin star). The paneer was rich and creamy, while the Murgh Kohlapuri was spicy and flavorful, showcasing Indian flavours. The Cucumber Raita, Lacha Parantha and Garlic Naan were exceptional - soft, fluffy, and perfectly cooked. Our server, Siddharth, provided excellent service, attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. The ambiance was upscale yet comfortable, ideal for a special meal or celebration.Overall, Tamarind Tribeca met our expectations with its delicious food, great cocktails, attentive service, and inviting atmosphere. Also, the Tandoori Salmon is a must have because it was seasoned, smoked and cooked to perfection!! Beba was our server and she was so patient and kind with a group who couldn't make up their minds! And lastly, please check out the bartender (I think his name was Sean, but I could be way off :/...I blame the a-a-alcohol..) “Such an excellent place with wonderful food. The first time we went, a while ago, we just walked in and had dinner...now it appears you cannot do that as the place is small and packed. So do get yourself a reservation. Or if you haven't had the foresight to do that, you can take the same food home as I just did. I loved the dals, particularly the tadka and every biryani I have tried. The service is smooth and friendly, and my take out order came quickly and was so well-wrapped that it was still quite warm after a slow bus ride in chilly weather. I plan to go back as often as I can....(or take out) -------------------- Second and third time, I tried new things, just as great. I really like this place and will keep coming back. When I say the eggplant and garlic appetizer was out of this world! The flavors were so unique, and just outright delicious. We then ordered the tiger prawns, which was a surprisingly large serving, topped off by the mint and cilantro cream, I was licking my fingers, after, the pot of lamb with basmati rice, felt like we were eating in someones home eatings moms cooking, topped off by delicious milk dessert, I couldn't have picked a better place to dine. The service was great, all my food arrived right after the other, the servers were so helpful describing every dish, and breaking it down for me. Garlic Pita
Malai Kofta

“Chola is easily the best Indian restaurant in all of Manhattan and Northern Jersey. My wife and I drive in bi-weekly for their awesome food and ever changing menu. The staff is incredible and friendly, we've gotten to know them all and consider them personal friends at this point. Any time we can, we take friends and family to Chola. It's is the best!“

“The chicken tikka masala and the naan feels authentic and is just a comforting but binge worthy meal to have. Their tandoori chicken wings are quite good as well. The naan tacos are better than the roti tacos cuz the rotis just disintegrate when you add all the toppings. Love all their chutneys as well!“

“Got the chicken over rice here and wasn't expecting much but was surprised by the value and taste. The serving was more than enough for two people and the taste was good. He even put in extra sauce and salad for us. No nonsense and definitely would recommend this food truck if you're looking for halal food in SoHo.“

“Met work colleagues for dinner here. The restaurant felt warm and cozy. The service was good; The food was even better. We had a different array of appetizers (tandoori chicken, vegetable samosas, chicken samosas, crispy okra, masala shrimp cocktail, and paani puri), followed by our main courses which were exceptional as well ( butter chicken, chicken biryani, string beans, chicken curry). Don't skip on dessert; the sticky toffee pudding was to die for. It was a night of full bellies and laughter. Will be definitely be coming back and adding it to my rolodex of restaurants.“

“Small space with big flavor! Ironically enough it is next door to a chipotle and has the same selection process, but with more unique and tasty food options in my opinion. I'd recommend the sweet mango chutney, mango lassi, falafel, naan (which came fresh out of the oven) and honestly anything else. The service is straightforward and the wait wasn't long while I was there! Overall !“

“Delicious, quality product at a mid-range price. It would be extraordinary value if rice or Naan were included, not the case here, but it is also a pretty standard way that many Indian restos charge up for their food.Having said that, the food will not disappoint and this location is a quaint little spot.Vegetarian options: On this occasion I ordered palak shorba soup, chana masala and rice.“
