“Mama Jo’s gives plenty of positive energy by the morning!Best egg and cheese with bacon bagel sandwich I had in NYC, amazing and special donuts with different flavours, and many homemade options on the bucket list (definitely trying as much as possible in the future). The black coffee is also amazing and have all the alternative options for regular milk.I am absolutely in love with this best breakfast cart in NYC!“

“If you grew up eating chicken over rice at halal carts in the city only to go vegan later in life you've experienced the extreme disappointment that comes with ordering falafel over rice without white sauce. It's a tragedy and a reason never to visit a halal cart again. Not at Sam's. Here the falafel is king and the platter is a shrine to the balls of chickpea. The sides and sauces all pack a punch of flavor and keep you coming back for more. The guys who work the cart are really sweet too. These falafels occupy a place in my heart.“

“Being from southern California, I had high high hopes for this birria and consome and I was not disappointed! A great deal for 3 tacos for $12. Their mulitas were absolutely heavenly and that consome was cooked to perfection I drank the entire thing after dipping my tacos and mulita. We took these to go and sat at a nearby dog park to eat it. There was on line when we went (a Friday at around lunch time) which I was pleasantly surprised by! While we were waiting, another patron eagerly exclaimed that she had been looking for this food truck and wasn't aware that they had moved locations so it's evident this spot is beloved and sought out. Will definitely be returning in the future.“

“This is a very underrated truck in the city. One of the best birria spots I've tried in a while. I tried this place on new years, and it was sooo good, I dragged any of my friends that mentioned anything about food that day. I first got the birria torta, which was a heavenly sandwich, and a great deal for 10$. I also went back for a birria quesadilla, which was also really good! The service was quick both times, and I really appreciate them keeping reasonable prices on new years, with 1 dollar waters and 2 dollar sodas! I can't speak too much about the ambiance because I assume this was a temporary location for new years, but I would follow this truck anywhere. No food pics, food was gone way before I ever thought about taking a picture.“

“Got the chicken over rice here and wasn't expecting much but was surprised by the value and taste. The serving was more than enough for two people and the taste was good. He even put in extra sauce and salad for us. No nonsense and definitely would recommend this food truck if you're looking for halal food in SoHo.“
“Best food we ate in NYC, especially because we can't get it in San Francisco. The $10 price point makes it even more delicious and worth the hour wait in line. Portions are perfect for post-show munchies and you can tell the meat is so fresh. Always ask for extra white sauce!“

“Delicious food at a great price. Quick and easy meal to grab for lunch, without having to wait long at all. Been around here for 5 years and Its been my favorite spot that I go to for lunch at least once or twice a week. Definitely add the chipotle mayo, its a game changer.“

“Haven't been here in years - randomly walked by today and shockingly no line so I had to take advantage. Chicken over rice w the works (beans, onions, salad, hot and tzatziki sauces. Better than I remembered. $14 so a little steep but very tasty.“

“We ordered one Mediterranean veggie pita, which was very good, but it had too much dressing for my taste. It felt like eating a Mediterranean salad in a pita ? We also ordered the beef gyro, but when we arrived at Central Park to eat, we realized we got lamb instead of beef. Nevertheless, it was absolutely delicious. We would have preferred more tzatziki though on the gyro. Would definitely come back!“

“Great (huge) sandwiches, great price, and the owner is a great guy.He had already closed up and turned the grill off when I came up to him and fired it back up to get me a banh mi. I didn’t ask him to and told him it was alright but he insisted.I furthermore didn’t have cash so he made it work with one of the other carts so i could get my sandwich.“

“They are on 45th and 6th Ave on the weekdays too it seems (just got it today). I wasn't feeling their signature Option so I went with the grilled chicken set (#2), and it still is so tender and flavorful. It comes with a tamarind sauce that added to the flavor although I used it sparingly. Only 10 bucks for any set and cash only, but they have venmo and other options.“

“Someone should do a YouTube series blind tasting NYC halal carts; the “GOATs”, as the kids say, which includes Santa, all taste the same, and it’s a hot pile of meat. No one in their right mind would be able to tell the difference. It’s seasoned, portions are respectable, and menu is affordable. My combo gyro was $7.99, despite the menu stating $6.99. Not complaining, but Santa should probably update the sign to avoid any confusion.Friendly and quick service. You can find a very good cart like this anywhere in the city, and Santa Clause is one to check out if you’re by Union Square.“

“As someone who grew up in eating mexican food in San Diego, I approve of the quality from this truck. The employees are always friendly and the food is reasonably priced. I always get the carnitas burrito without lettuce and their red sauce reminds me of home.“

“Visited this truck on a very cold day and had a long train ride home and evening was still very warm and fresh when I got to enjoy. I had the chicken tikka over yellow rice with white sauce and chimichurri and it was delicious. Flavors were fantastic and portion was great! A little spicy just FYI for anyone sensitive to spice but I loved it without adding additional hot sauce.“

“The best food :)I say this not because Mohammed shared half of his falafel dinner with me, but because he cooked it with love and shared it - the essence of what it means to have food together.I had chicken over rice, the chicken was cooked to perfection, rice was tasty as it could be and the presentation was spot on!I will visit again, but also encourage you to eat here you’ll eat not just through your mouth but with Mohammed’s kindness, your heart as well :)“

“Right outside of Marshall's and TJMaxx, you are greeted with rich aromatic smells of halal food. I purchased the chicken over rice platter and not only are the flavors rich and savory, but they add on more that most halal carts don't do. You get French fries, peppers jalapeños, green sauce and chopped tomatos/onions. If this isn't one of the most top tier halal carts I've ever had the pleasure of discovering, then idk what is. Plus Debit/Credit is accepted. Worth the money if you ask me!“

“Hands down best halal I’ve ever had in NYC of all Burroughs. Everyone I know is obsessed with them including our whole office, we placed a large order which Rocky took and everyone that worked that day did such a great job. Seriously you will not regret, just be aware you may become addicted!“

“As my feet swelled while I waited in line alongside with four of my friends, I began contemplating my actions and choices in life that lead to this moment. At every step forward in this seemingly infinite line, I kept asking myself “will this be worth it?”. My friends and I rotated turns waiting in line. We fought. We cried. We bled. But ultimately, we waited. And as we finally arrived at the forefront. The kind hearted man patiently walked us through the menu, and we picked our choices, the chicken combo over spicy rice. Then came the moment of truth, the first bite, the first tasting, allowing our tongue to be blessed. As we took the bite, we realized, it was…. Okay? Nothing heavenly, certainly nothing significant compared to the food from our hometown. TikTok hype has killed proper food tasting. Good food, not worth the wait.“

“Quick and easy lunch, waited for about 5-10mins before food was ready. I had the sesame steak which was flavoured nicely, I would happily eat it without the sauce but didn’t because their sauce is great! Portion size good, value for money as there is a good amount of meat included. Staff were also friendly when served.“

“Their stuff is off the HOOK! I've been getting mostly chicken and pork sticks either on a platter or as a sandwich, and they's always been great, for some reason I hadn't tried the Lamb until today, OMG, one of th best Gyros I've ever had. The only complaint I have is if you get there at the wrong time the line gets pretty long, but that's just a testament as to how good their stuff really is! Keep up the great work!“

“I was having an active weekday morning and I wanted some good breakfast tacos. Hearty and fresh. I came across this food truck outside the New York Times building and the pictures depicted on the side do not do it justice for what I received. The tacos were heart with meat, eggs, veggies, some spices. As I type, I crave them.I could feel like there was real New York love embedded in this food. I would not want to go anywhere else.“

“A place that is very well known among the locals. The person who prepares the food speaks less English, make it clear in advance what you want and keep an eye on this and everything will turn out fine. We had the Chicken Tikka, white sauce, green sauce, little hot sauce and be sure to ask for the mango pickle!“

“Such a nice hardworking gentleman Mr Essam who operates here. Really generous portions, SUPER fresh and clean tasting. Got the mixed rice plate and there was so much meat!! He had to push the lid down to close it. Chicken is amazingly tender. Veggies are fresh and crisp. Fries are a nice addition! Prices are great, service is fast, and did I say the gentleman is so very nice??I have been to 10+ different halal trucks/carts in manhattan and this one tops them all. Will always come back here! Open late until 3am.“
“I do not usually like food truck food, but the food here is soooo good. They now make these wraps that taste amazing, as well as this chicken vegetable soup. Ali is such a personable person, and he keeps the truck very clean. You definitely have to try the wraps and the soup.“

“Patacon is venezuelan food. If you like to eat sweet plantains, this is the place. It's one of those fast food truck place-order to go only. I had a "yoyo" a choice of chicken, beef, or pork. I had the chicken. Basically it looks like a gyro instead of getting the pita bread, you get sweat plantains with lettuce and tomatoes. It was very tasty. You should look at their website for more details.“

“Compared to their more famous rivals, this place is just as good, when it comes to the food. It actually provides more variety, with multiple options available on the menu, compared to the guys on 53rd and 6th. They also have just as many, if not more, than the people on 49th and 6th. The bonus to this place is the wait. For food just as good, you won't have to wait as long. As good as the other places are, I don't know if it's worth waiting over 1.5 hours. For this reason, this place is worth it. Add in the food, and it's definitely worth a try. Because the line is shorter, the ability for the people working to tend to custom requests is better. I'll definitely be back. It tasted great.“
“I am happy to share my review of this amazing El Paisano Mexican food truck. Having had the pleasure of visiting the food truck a few times over the years, I can confidently say that it's one of the best food trucks out there. Their customer service is excellent. They are also incredibly thoughtful, as evidenced by the fact that they remembered it was my birthday - a small but incredibly touching gesture that speaks volumes about their commitment to their customers. Now, onto the food. The tacos are simply divine - they're the perfect combination of fresh, spicy, and satisfying. Whether you're in the mood for beef, chicken, shrimp, they have something for everyone. The portions and the prices are reasonable.Overall, I highly recommend this Mexican food truck to anyone who wants a delicious quick bite on the go.“
“Uri's coffee is something you have to see to believe. There are hundreds food trailers scattered around New York City. Uri's appears to be some kind of bizzare anomaly with how uniquely busy it is. I saw no less than 4 separate door dash like services lined up here waiting to pick up the many orders the busy staff was working to fulfill in a kitchen no larger than a small truck bed. Their signature item is a breakfast burrito which comes with all kinds of bonus goodies like avocado, hot peppers, and a flavorful green salsa served on the side. I hope Uri's continues to be a huge hit, because the hard working owners deserve your money more than most. I dream to one day maybe see this as a larger truck or even a restaurant, that would warm my heart and I think feed a lot of hungry people on the upper east side.“

“Very good food served out of a taco truck. They have been on 57th st and 8th ave as of late. The food is solid. The tortas are the best thing on the menu. The salsas are good. The prices fair. The chichi morra drink was just OK though. Sort of like the Mexican hibiscus drink but not really worth $3. The guys are friendly and they accept credit cards. Usually a small line during lunch. But it moves fast.“

“I was really hungry, but when I went to the 74st cafe at Fairway, I only saw the breakfast menu, and I wanted lunch. Turns out they did have lunch, but I was already downstairs. Remembered seeing this food truck, and I do love Mexican food. There's a ton of choices, and I decided to try the Cubana torta. It's HUGE. It's definitely a different take on a Cuban. There were beans, tiny cubes of crispy pork, ham, cheese, jalapeños, no pickles, I think some avocado, and lettuce. It was delicious. I could only finish HALF after discarding the top piece of bread. The truck was staffed by a smiling, friendly woman, whose English is somewhat limited, but adequate for understanding food questions. We managed just fine. The truck has an A rating, and I plan to go back for a quesadilla or some tacos. So glad that this truck is in the neighborhood :) I can't eat pizza ALL the time.“
“This taco truck feels a bit like a hidden gem. Came across it while wondering around the Wall St. area and gave some tacos a try. I tried a new type of taco that I never had before which was this goat barbaccoa (chivo), which was amazing and very flavorful. I can't recall any taco truck or brick-and-mortar that I've been too that offers this, so I felt that was very unique and will get me to come back. The Al Pastor was also pretty banging. Fresh, juicy with pineapple, and very flavorful. We got some Jarritos as well and they were really cold which was delightful on a hot summer day. This truck definitely exceeds expectations, I highly recommend hunting it down and giving it a shot.“

“I'll keep this short and to the point: this is the best burrito I've had in the city hands down, and it's not close. Everything fresh and phenomenally seasoned, the lengua is succulent, the al pastor just the right spicy-sweet mix, I can't wait to try a few more meats. The staff is super friendly and the food comes out quick. As far as ambiance, getting in and out of there in record time is all you really want from a food truck. The best.“
