“We've had donuts for our parishioners from various stores in the area on Sundays for years and none can compare to Expresso. Donuts are freshly made every day, delicious & of a generous size and the owners and staff are excellent to work with. So glad they are in Elyria!“

“I tried their cookies on a whim at an event and they are SO good. Their flavors are just spot on. I couldn't believe that each and every one I tried was delicious!!! Usually there's one in there that doesn't hit the mark, but not these. I'm not talking just chocolate chip here, but cherry cordial, lemon cream, raspberry cheesecake and more - none of them disappointed. I don't know how they do it - it must be magic!! “Love their cupcakes! The owner is always very nice and welcoming. The orange creamsicle and pistacio cupcakes are my favorites, and I run there anytime I see they have them in the shop. I highly recommend trying them out! The shop is always clean and has some seats and tables if you'd like to eat inside.“

“Probably my favorite bakery in Cleveland. Family-owned, with a few different locations. Excellent baked goods, and an absolutely wonderful Italian deli. Great cakes, wonderful eclairs, cream puffs and danishes, and gorgeously decorated cookies. Also a mini Italian market, great for imported as well as homemade pastas add Italian accoutrements. And they make a mean sandwich at lunch. Just a great all-around local joint, you would be remiss if you didn't go check it out at least once. I would be very much surprised if you didn't come back.“

I ordered a 10” cassata cake and a smash cake for my niece’s 1st birthday, the decorating matched perfectly with the photo I brought in for inspiration and the party guests couldn’t stop raving about the flavor and freshness of the cake. People were asking to take pieces home, so everything was gone by the end of the day!“

“Few times have I experienced an entire ecosystem within a single building, complete with weather patterns, a unique food web, and seasonal migrations. In the middle lies a vast field of clothing and boxed snacks, with estuaries of books, joy seasonal decorations and even lawn furniture. To the north and south are steep cliffs of shelves and claustrophobic valleys, but to the west is a rocky range of baked goods, produce, meats and dairy. Usually there is a pack of 50 year olds stalking in circles around the rack that the rotisserie chickens are placed, waiting for fresh meat to pounce upon. Make your way carefully down the major game trails, and you will often spot some taste peddlers brandishing sample cups of canned yams and bean dip. Do not be tempted by their charisma, for they are indeed paid to make you consume their wares.“

However the last three times I have gone a rather Curt woman was behind the counter who not only got my order wrong two days in a row (maple stick became a chocolate frosted stick and the chocolate frosted cake donut we asked for the next day was just a plain glazed cake) She was also super rude to the man behind me for daring not to know what something was called.I just think that if you want to be rude, you at least have to be good at your job and not mess up orders two days in a row.“

If I'm not familiar with a food he'll give me a sample and take the time to write out the name of it. “We had our first taste of a Festive Tree Cake as leftovers from friends—and the small pieces several days old were fabulous! They showed us pictures of the cakes and described how they were made. We ordered the Pumpkin Spice and the Black Forest. The cakes are marvelous, almost too lovely to cut into. The flavors did not disappoint.We have sent several cakes to friends, all of whom have had the same reaction as ours. We’ll continue to spread the word about these special cakes and will be ordering more.“

“I had graters chocolate ice cream with hot fudge , marshmallow, pecan and whipped cream. The ice cream was good. The whipped cream was very thick and very sweet. I scooped all of off the Sunday. The place was clean. That's always a plus. Will be coming back for more.“
