From the moment we arrived until our meal was finished, the service was outstanding. The food was delicious and the menu had a variety of flavors to suit every member of our party. Well worth the higher cost.

Dante isn’t looking for laughs, it’s looking for gasps!Expect a creative, one-of-a-kind dining experience. Bank features on the interior are tasteful and help build a classy, sophisticated and vibrant atmosphere. Service is prompt and professional.Food is the money maker. Flavor pairings across the menu are magnificent. The crab cake/pork belly appetizer was the big hit across our group. For pasta, I enjoyed the carnaroli risotto, which was a light and fresh take on a traditionally rich dish. The classic bolognese (pictured) was terrific for those eyeing a more traditional dish.

Our server was great and the food was too but one small mistake happened which could have been very bad with the muscles I ordered. There was a piece of metal from a scrubber that was in my food that I almost ate. I understand that it was an accident and I found it before I swallowed it but it could have been a very different outcome if I didn’t notice it. It was brought to their attention and the food was refired promptly. Only other small complaint I have is that back room is so small and so hot. We were all very hot within a few minutes of being seated.

We arrived early and were the first customers in the restaurant. We picked Dante's because we knew that the food would be outstanding. With regard to the food, we were not disappointed. The service however, was incredibly slow. There was plenty of wait staff available, and our waitstaff was very nice, but there were long periods of time when we didn't have food, and although we arrived at 5pm, we were actually concerned that we might not make our show at Playhouse Square at 7:30pm. We didn't order anything extraordinary or do a tasting menu. I'm unsure if the kitchen was having issues or if this has been typical since COVID. I think it was a kitchen issue as our water glasses were continually being filled, and it wasn't as if we were being ignored. When we did get the food, it was delicious. It's not the Dante's experience that I'm used to overall, but it's still very good food.

The chef's tasting menu was fantastic. First course was salmon belly with fennel salad, excellent. Second was a rabbit spaghetti carbonara, the rabbit was surprisingly moist and the sauce was great. Third was an Asian Sea bass, possibly one of the best pieces of fish I've ever had. Then a New York strip that was cooked perfectly mid rare but a little dry, possibly did not rest long enough. This came with some kind of fried potato, almost like an elevated hash brown. I could have eaten 50 of them. Desert was a delicious strawberry pretzel cake and ice cream. Pros Food food food. It was sooooo good. Beer is priced very reasonably Service was outstanding Cons Dry steak Men's restroom was a little messy The restaurant was LOUD. Not a romantic ambiance at all

Walk with me past the bar, and wander into the kitchen to the romantic wood lined back room... the wine list is fantastic, cheers to their importer! The waitstaff is attentive and friendly with just the perfect amount of polish. Scott our waiter was lovely. We tried all 3 of the new spring menu pastas as well as the Porterhouse for 2. The mascarpone pasta is ridiculously delicious, I would eat this everyday! For deserts we had the banana torte... reminiscent of a bananas foster with a dash of chocolate. Full bar for after dinner drinks... Macallan 12 neat is always a good choice. Highly recommend Dante.

The five course tasting meal was absolutely amazing. We celebrated my son's graduation and the service throughout the evening was spot on!!! Amazing evening and a wonderful night out.

Excellent new menu options for the season. The spinach artichoke crepe, lightly fried calamari, and tuna tartar were great starters along with the excellent sourdough bread and humus. We go here often, and are always pleased to bring guests.

Superb service, exquisite food, extensive wine list. Dante's is our special occasion restaurant of choice, and they do not disappoint. Surf and Turf (short ribs and scallops) was amazing - just the right amount of heat - Highly recommend.

The food was excellent. I had the surf and terf and my wife had the sea bass and both were perfect. For dessert we shared the sesame citrus cake which was fantastic. My only complaint is that I ordered a certain beer (my favorite beer!) but was brought a different one with no explanation. I could tell right away it was a different beer but assumed it was a mistake which was no big deal. I ordered another one and was again brought a different brand. I told the waitress and she indicated they 'probably' ran out of the beer I ordered and substituted something else. That's fine but they need to indicate that beer is out of stock instead of not saying anything and bringing something totally different. This was not a huge deal given how good the food was but was surprising and a bit annoying.

Took my husband to Dante for his birthday. We sat at the chefs table in the kitchen. It was such a magical experience. The staff is always so attentive and sweet. We met chef Dante and he was super nice and even gave us dessert for my husbands birthday. Hands down Cleveland's BEST!!!!

Part of a private party. Atmosphere was ok, but not enough room. The food was good, not fantastic. The chicken breast was dry, but the polenta was tasty and moist enough to make it edible. Probably will not choose to return, not inspired to try more.
