Marble Room Steaks and Raw Bar 623 Euclid Ave, Cleveland Steak House • $$$$

“I've never been to a restaurant or bar with more personality and quality as I have with Marble room. It gets everything right and then some. The ceviche and beef tartare were a peak experience. The creme Brule was a dream come true. The fillet mignon will leave you speechless. The Atmosphere is the perfect culmination of Cleavland's rich history and architecture and fine dining. The grand view of the entrance feels like a portal into a previous Era. The artwork mounted on the walls are phenomenally curated photography that plays well with the overall lighting design of the restaurant. Sculptures are present in the main hall that stray from simple decoration into a bustling art gallery. Fully functional bank vaults are also available for private events if the occasion should call for it. The music Playlist is well selected for creating a chill vibe reminiscent of Cowboy bebop. If you know, you know. The service was attentive and helpful. They all seemed very well trained & prepared and were delightful to engage with. I cannot recommend this place enough. I do not give out 5 stars lightly. I only give them out when an experience does something to recontextualize my dining experience. Thank you to the staff for making my trip to Cleavland unforgettable.~Mark-Saint John”

We ordered two entrees and an appetizer from the specials menu that night and they were all delicious. Only knock I’d give is how close the tables are - they definitely try to squeeze as many people in as possible. 10/10 would go back again, especially since we didn’t try the table side cheese board offering!”

“My wife and I were making our first visit to Cleveland and chose Il Venetian based on what we'd read on-line. We were delighted. Food, service, and ambience were all impeccable. Our waiter was attentive and informative without being intrusive. The sommelier was in equal parts friendly, unpretentious, and knowledgeable and steered us to an Amarone that was other-worldly.With respect to our food selections, we had the Waygu carpaccio and clam chowder as appetizers; the agnolotti and rigatoni as mains; and the olive cake for dessert. Truly delicious.”

The veal is prepared very well!Wheelchair accessibility: A single step is required to get in the entrance. “I made reservations to celebrate my birthday here and the staff was very accommodating. I had to stay within a certain amount of people for my reservation and at the last minute I had to make an adjustment that put me outside of that limitation. The staff/management was very understanding and helpful, which was a huge relief for me. When we arrived everyone was very kind and patient as some of my guests were late. They were also very attentive to my dietary restrictions as a vegan. I ordered 3 dishes including the vegan entree. The vegan entree (miso eggplant) didn’t taste that good to me and I was reluctant to say anything, but I’m glad I did. Robin our server asked what I didn’t like about it and used the feedback to have them remake the dish with custom adjustments for taste. It was so much tastier when they brought it back out and I was extremely grateful for the overall care and consideration. She took pictures of our dinner party and they served me a vegan desert with a candle to celebrate my birthday. This was a great experience for me and my guests and I am glad I chose this restaurant to celebrate. The customer service from top to bottom was superb.”

Our server was super friendly and attentive.I had the interview with a vampire cocktail, it was one of my faves so far. My brother had a manhattan he enjoyed thoroughly. We started with the frog legs. They were thick! Great seasonings and the dip was on point. The cabbage was different. We also ordered the seafood gumbo although I’m pretty positive they brought me the normal gumbo because I didn’t see or taste any seafood in it. It was like a beef stew. Not bad but not what I expected. For dinner I had the shrimp and grits. It was SO good. The bread is exemplary too I could have ate two more loaves of it with my drinks. The dish was pretty decent sized. My brother got the blackened salmon. It was seasoned well and the cups of sauces were wonderful especially the garlic butter one.For desert I had the apple bread pudding and WOW was that a good choice!!10/10 recommend checking this one out! We went to the one in Tremont, I believe I overheard another table talking about one in Cleveland somewhere, too.Either way this place is wonderful. Next time I’m definitely getting the jambalaya.Parking: There is a parking lot at some library, you have to hang a right at the corner to find that lot. Chris answered every question I had about planning the evening for our 120 guests. The kitchen was prompt with hot buffet items. There was plenty of space to move around in the venue with our DJ and dance floor. The kids had room to bounce off the walls (along with some of my cousins). “i love this restaurant and have been ordering food here/dining in for almost 3 years. however, the bbq oyster wings with ranch are hard to eat. They taste too chewy and the breading makes me want to gag. they taste better when i refry them on my own, so I would suggest that you guys fry them more. And make sure that the sauce doesn’t make them soggy somehow. Regardless, I am a huge fan of the banana pudding.”

We had to make a reservation and come back an hour later. The food portion has dropped like most restaurants. My kids first time had to order additional food as it was not enough. It was hard to get our server to order more. When we finally got someone, it took another 20 minutes to get our appetizers as we didn't want to turn the grill back on.Parking: It's a gated parking lot shared with a Korean grocery store”

It is.... rather expensive for their cider though.... It was tasty for sure. It's so expensive though you don't really have much of a choice but to slowly sip it otherwise you'll spend $90 in 10 minutes.I would have loved to stay longer than I did. Butcher and the Brewer 2043 E 4th St, Cleveland Brewpubs • $$
2043 E 4th St, Cleveland

“If I were to describe Butcher and the Brewer in one word, it would be: derelicte. Never before have I seen a space that so fully embraced the dumpster chic aesthetic... and located on swanky East 4th Street to boot! (That said, it did have a certain kind of charm.)As expected, all of the beers were delicious, with a wide variety to boot (including an abundance of seasonally-appropriate barrel-aged stouts, each one more boozy and addictive than the last). While the food was good, most dishes were missing that one element that could have elevated them to the next level. The kimchi arancini and onion dip were both flavorful but a little bit stodgy, the chutney for the broiled (not fried - I appreciated that!) brussels sprouts was lacking in depth, and the meatballs were fine but completely outshone by the pungent puttanesca sauce. The one exception was the pretzel - do yourself a favor and get the pretzel! It was outstanding; easily the best brewpub pretzel in the city! (To be fair, the more meat-centric menu options might have been better, but between the steep prices and average quality of what we already ordered, we opted to skip things like the steak or bone marrow.)As for the experience... call me old-fashioned, but I didn't appreciate the automated ordering system, whereby everything was ordered and paid for using a smart phone. While it may have been "efficient," I missed the human touch of interacting with our server throughout the meal. (Plus, I think people nowadays stare at their phones entirely too much in the first place!)”

I got the Char Siu, the vegetable spring rolls, the teriyaki wings, and the gyoza. The Ramen dish was definitely the best part, if only just a little plain in flavor. The gyoza and spring rolls were good for appetizers. The teriyaki wings I felt could have been better - something about their texture was off putting - they just felt a little too soft.”

“One might described the venue as constricted as the dining spaces can be a bit tight. I found it cozy enough navigating the stairs to one of the dining areas on the upper level and sliding into a pew. Yes, a pew. Some of the booth seating has been repurposed from churches. Our server, Anna, who has been recognized from other reviews for her speedy service, was again on point with cheerful and expedient form. Our selections of chicken florentine and eggplant siciliano along with smooth Malbec and Moscato wines were tremendous. The accompanying pasta was perfectly al dente, which is often very hard to find in even the most traditional Italian eateries (mainly because it is precooked to mushiness). Great job and I recommend one gets there early because the place fills up and I can understand why. Would surely make a return trip.”
