“This place continues to stand out in a city with a lot of great bakeries. Always the same two folks in there and they are on it. Sparkling clean, super friendly, with really interesting options in addition to bakery classics. The pepperoni rolls, whose name does not do it justice, are easily one of the best savory pastries I've ever had. I think if I was going to the firing squad my last meal would be one of their cardamom knots. Also worth noting they have some cool high end grocery (like Mama Lils peppers!)“

“My boyfriend and I stopped in during a short stay in Cleveland and will definitely return on our next trip. We got the forest and pesto breakfast sandwiches and they were incredible—way bigger than we expected and absolutely delicious! Matcha latte and dirty chai were great too. And the key lime & coconut donut was so good! The guy at the register (I wish I had gotten his name!) was very welcoming and really made our day with a couple of peanut butter oaties on the house.“

“Best shaved ice I've ever had in my life. The buns are all soft and fluffy and comforting. I had the egg and turkey buns, the green onion bun and the mango tart, while taking a few bites of my friend's taiwanese shaved ice. I've been back a good probably 8 or so times since I began writing this review a couple months ago, and I can't stay away. Every time I go I grab a handful of warm, chewy buns and the taiwanese shaved ice with mango, strawberry, and mango jelly. The service is always quick, even when there is the occasional line to the door, and the buns are self service so you can just grab as many as you'd like and check out! I can not possibly recommend the shaved ice enough, in my opinion it easily beats out ice cream as the most refreshing summer snack.“

“I last came to Larder years ago back in 2018 or so and getting the Tuesday lunch special - $5 Chicken Sandwiches. I remember it being the best fried chicken sandwich I had ever had in my life - huge juicy thigh meat covered in a crunchy doubled fried exterior. Since then, Larder has been winning awards left and right. Since we were visiting Cleveland, I was so excited to visit Larder again and get their delicious sandwich. Unfortunately we came on a bad day - the previous night, a severe thunderstorm had knocked out the fryer and vents and Larder had to remove all of their fried items from the menu. They also were having oven troubles, so they ended up opening 30 minutes late. We got there over 30 minutes before they opened and a line of people started forming already. Pastrami Reuben ($18) - This is not your typical pastrami; this is thick, 1 cm cut savory salty pastrami, cut kind of like corned beef. The bark is still attached which is soft in some portions but crisp in others. ??? skome flavor??The meat is super tender and easy to eat. There's a thin layer of flavorful fat in some areas. There's cabbage slaw added on the bottom which adds a nice tang to balance out the fatty and meat of the pastrami. Thousand island spread on the top and bottom slices of bread adds additional moisture and sweetness. Everything is placed in the middle of two perfectly toasted slices of rye. Babka ($9) - Absolutely chock full of chocolate, the bread is pretty dense and rich. Pieces of crumbs easily flake off when you're eating this. There's some cinnamon mixed with the chocolate. If I'm ever back in town, I would get the chicken sandwich for the nostalgia.“

FYI some items come with one topping only and there is a fee for each additional topping. Their sundae menu is off the chart amazing, so many variations I've never seen, and to choose from! “It's definitely a go-to place to relax, read a good book, grab coffee or tea, a good Danish, and more. Mike was so helpful with all of my questions. He had an available booster seat so my son and I could dine in comfortably. The tea and food were very delicious. I had a salmon, spinach, mushrooms, and cheese omelet. All the flavors married well. The potatoes had just the right crunch. The French toast was just as tasteful. “Love working with Luna Bakery! While the pastries, food, and coffee are amazing - the staff is so on top of it. They are responsive & detail orientated. Within minutes of emailing them to plan a catering order for the week of, Kristen was able to help me finalize an order and had it confirmed (I feel like I didn’t even need to do anything)! I have worked with previous bakeries in the area and there are always hiccups due to the large orders. I will continue to use Luna for all my orders for their quality but the hospitality of their staff!“
“Took a while to post this picture because I was in a food coma. This food is delicious. I've been living in CLE for about 5 years now and I wanna kick myself for not coming here sooner. I'm Cuban American, but Cuban food here is lacking. I was happy to find some extremely good Puerto Rican food to fill the void in my Caribbean heart lol. Thr staff was so polite and welcoming. I then asked the lady behind the counter. Could the cupcake be made as a cake? The staff member was kind of enough to show me a pamphlet where the cupcake can actually be made into a cake. I would definitely go back to this establishment. Great flavor, great place. Great customer service.“
