I lived in Chicago for the past 20 years, and now I'm in Atlanta. Whenever I am in the area, I make it a point to stop at the West Side Market. You have so many options for food and specialty items...and Vera's is one of the very best! One of my personal favorites is their blossom bread. When they have it, the bacon is just crazy killer. If you love chocolate, you have got to try the chocolate cigar. I was in town visiting and looking at some chocolate filled pastries they had. The woman working, I’m assuming Vera, redirected me to the end of the case and told me to get the cigar (flaky pastry with folded chocolate inside covered in a traditional glaze). She said it with such confidence I knew I had to try it. OMG it was seriously one of the best desserts I have ever put in my mouth. I still dream about it ??....read full review
