I was surprised by how drawn into the decor and visual aesthetic of the space. And if you’re someone who feels you like that feeling of cozy and privacy when out enjoying a meal- it is perfect for you. My friend and I enjoyed a combination of both the cocktails and mocktails, I had the spiced nectar and blue bergamot. SO good. So different than the typical mocktail- not your typical mixer combo. But really unique recipes created with a lot of depth. Just as much to be enjoyed as the plates themselves. We had somewhere around 7-8 dishes and I came in as someone who loves Indian food expecting a typical experience and was given more than a meal, but a really fun and innovate experience. Bright visual aesthetics and flavors created a very exciting and delicious experience! (Plenty of vegan options as well.)“

“Soho is some of the best fried chicken in Cleveland period. Both the white and dark meat are cooked to perfection. What's even more shocking is they do this with boneless breast and thighs. These pieces of chicken are boneless and still moist. That's so rare to see. The sides here are phenomenal! The mashed potatoes are a stand out for sure. They are beyond rich and decadent. They taste of just butter and are silky smooth. The mac and cheese is delightful with a wonderful Gouda flavor. The Nashville hot sandwhich is great and not overly spicy it's very pleasant. But the hush puppies are a must try they are the size of a golf ball and are so soft and moist. With this excellent dipping sauce. Nothing here is bad. The service was super fast. Food arrives very quickly. I do however recommend reservation for the weekend or a Friday. This place fills up fast. Parking can be a pain because it is all street parking and finding something nearby can be hard. But it's absolutely worth it for some of the best chicken around. Also with free biscuits how can you beat that.“

They make little effort to wipe the tables or sweep the floor during service. The trash piles up right by clean service items. You have to bring your own wipes to clean off a sticky table if you want to dine in.“

“If I could give this place more than 5 stars, I absolutely would.

I first found this restaurant about a year ago when my boyfriend and I happened to pass by and decided to give it a try. I still remember the first time they brought out the soup with chopped onions on the side. I was honestly shocked by how good it was. That soup immediately became one of those flavors I knew I would never forget.

I loved the food so much that I came back again with a friend, and then came back a third time before I eventually left Cleveland.

I’ve been living away from Cleveland for more than a year, and recently I drove back from Chicago because I’ll be staying here for the next two months. When I thought about where I wanted to eat first, this restaurant was immediately at the top of my list. I literally drove about 40 minutes just to come here.

At first I was a little confused because the restaurant has a different name now. I only found it again because I had previously shared the address with my friend. When I walked inside and saw the restaurant, I immediately recognized it and thought, “YES, this is the place!”

And somehow, after all this time, the food is STILL just as amazing as I remembered.

The lamb and rice are incredible. The fish is something I order almost every single time. And the HUGE fresh bread is unbelievably good — seriously, you HAVE to eat it right after it comes out while it’s still hot and fresh. It is absolutely amazing.

And then there is the soup. I genuinely think I will remember that soup for the rest of my life. I have tried other Yemeni restaurants while I was away, but nothing has ever tasted quite as good as this place.

Because I lived far away for so long, I couldn’t come here often, but I never forgot the flavor. I would actually think about this food from time to time while I was gone.

Finding this restaurant again after more than a year honestly made me so happy. Same owner, same incredible food, and still one of my absolute favorite restaurants in Cleveland.

“I live about 90 min from Cleveland, and my 8 year old has been begging me to take him somewhere to try bubble tea for weeks now. We were in Cleveland for the night, and Balance was close to where we were staying so I decided to give it a try. The girl working at the counter was AMAZING! She was so helpful and super interactive with my son, literally mirroring his excitement. I know this is something small, but I have worked in the service industry and I know how infrequent it is to get positive feedback. I’m sorry I didn’t catch the girl’s name (she was tall with long blonde hair), but she was fantastic and really made us feel welcome. The restaurant was also super clean and all the employees were working hard.“
