Tonight was my first experience at Ginko. I have never had sushi, dessert, or service as great as I did!! The food was phenomenal. The sesame ice cream was insanely delicious. And Nick, our server took extra care of me with my gluten allergy. He checked on everything with the chef before I ordered! I Was will for sure be back and will recommend this restaurant to EVERYONE!!
This place will ruin sushi for you. It is absolute perfection. The food is simply excellent and that doesn’t even say enough. Place is smash but quaint and with the reservation or the wait, because the bar upstairs at Dante is exceptional.
The lost star is because there is a host, that is just awful. That is the first part of the experience and both times we have come without a reservation he has as rude and disagreeable as could be. One time they were too busy, wait...read full review

Stumbled upon this little gem, I love the stairways downstairs entrance reminds me of a lot of cool little spots back home in BK and then it has a secret restaurant upstairs called Dante’s. We had the pleasure to have an amazing server called Joey. He went Above and beyond with service. Joey gave us A tour .
I would definitely plan ahead and reserve a table in the vault. I love it here. It reminds me of my favorite restaurant back home in Brooklyn, New York.

Ginko Restaurant | Sushi • Shabu-Shabu offers a memorable dining experience characterized by quality food, excellent service, and a relaxed atmosphere. The restaurant features a cozy, intimate setting underground, where guests can disconnect from the outside world. The drink menu stands out, especially the cocktails, which are well-crafted and enjoyed throughout the evening.
The menu includes a variety of specialty rolls, with the Zeppelin Roll emerging as a pleasant surprise—fresh and flavorful. The Negi Toro is also highly recommended for its richness and freshness. The standout dishes are the Oshi Sushi selections; the Toro & Truffle Oshi Sushi is packed with flavor and a favorite, while the Hamachi Oshi Sushi provides a lighter, refreshing contrast. Another highlight is the seared salmon belly, praised for its delicious taste. Desserts, particularly the banana tempura-topped dish, are memorable and highly recommended.
Service is consistently attentive, knowledgeable, and welcoming, enhancing the overall experience. Watching the chefs prepare dishes at the bar adds an engaging element. The atmosphere, complemented by good music and low lighting, creates a perfect setting for enjoying a special meal. Though some seating may be uncomfortable for long periods, there are chairs with backs available.
Overall, Ginko delivers quality sushi, creative specials, and friendly service, making it a top choice for sushi lovers in Cleveland. Many guests find it to be their best sushi experience in the area and appreciate its inviting ambiance and outstanding staff.
