“We got there in the end but trying to order over the phone was a bit convoluted and misleading. I didn’t make their cutoff for custom ordered gluten free cakes but the lady I spoke to said I could come in the same day and get one, it just wouldn’t be custom. I went to the Solon store when they opened and they couldn’t do that, so I called the one in Eton where I had called originally and they couldn’t do cupcakes the same day but that was it. No real explanation, but I had them make 36 cupcakes and they had them ready in an hour and a half. They were great.“

“I’m always busy, working, doing errands and i needed to find a place to eat that has a ln extensive menu. I can grab breakfast and lunch with extra to take home too! The manager and staff are friendly and very hard working. It’s centrally located and whether i’m eating in or taking out, The Cafe Honeycomb manages their business like you are their only customer, with attention to every detail. Their delicious food and great service is the reason I love to shop local!“

“Second time here after a couple of years and am so glad to see it have expanded to more options for savoury/ nutritious foods as well as their delicious pastries. It’s giving “Luna” but with a more modern and minimalist style! Happy to have brought my mum since the pastries are always great.

The only qualm I had was how the manager or owner responded to my mum requesting more milk in her cappuccino, as if we don’t have any knowledge in coffee. The foam was not foamy or thick with a ton of bubbles inside the foam. As if they didn’t tap it before pouring it in. He explained the drink to her and had a perplexed judgment look on his face. I almost wanted to intervene and ask if he wanted to try the drink himself. I don’t have an issue with people informing us how the drink is supposed to be made, but the assumption that the customer is not informed rather than, “hey maybe the barista had a faulty drink this one time” or adjusting to my mum’s preference, came off strange. The coffee was bitter, which is why she asked for more milk. I wish they had been kinder in responding to an older foreign lady or ask what was wrong while explaining their reasonings“

“This was actually the second time I stopped in. The first time they had just opened and some of the things weren't quite up to par (soggy pastries like they had been frozen and thawed out). Anyways I decided to give it another try and this time was much better. I got a caramel frappe which was very good (I forgot to take a picture). I also got the cheese tart and a custard bun. They were both pretty good although nothing spectacular since they are fairly simple pastries. Overall I would say if you're in the area stop by and give it a try.“

“Heard about this place from a coworker. Not easy to find - the owner runs her business out of her house. Asian bakeries/patisseries are hard to come by in the Cleveland area so naturally I was excited to try and was not disappointed. Ordered a box of pastries as well as their green tea roll cake. Croissants are the best I’ve had in Cleveland. So many flaky layers, perfect texture, just the right amount of sweetness. Green tea roll cake was also phenomenal. Had bits of red bean and the cream was light and airy. The cake itself was soft and moist. Will be coming back. Highly recommend“

It looks like they’re doing some renovations, so parts of it have that old-school charm while other areas are getting a bit of a refresh. Other spots look like they need scrubbing. The donuts were excellent—fresh, flavorful. Self-serve. You can tell this place has been around a while. Some unique candy options I have not seen before. A payphone too!? I am a picky Italian when it comes to Italian food and Alesci's has some of the best Italian food in Cleveland. “I stopped in at Easter to buy chocolate for making buckeyes. First time in since the new owner took over. She was very pleasant. The store is neat and clean and was very well stocked. I'm so glad I have a baking/candy supply store like this near me. I highly recommend.“

“The takeout baked desserts and patisserie are outstanding. My favorite was the pear galette, a rustic French-style tart with artfully folded flaky, buttery crust, and deep fruit flavor. Less successful was the ganache pecan pie, which was beautiful (as they all were) but the flavor combination of rich on rich didn't work in my personal opinion. Also really liked the lemon merigue tart. The croissants are very, very good, not absolute top tier but all the flavors are there.“
