Bookhouse Brewing Brewery • $$

“Bookhouse hosted us for semi-private event in the Tin Room, and I cannot overemphasize how much we enjoyed their beautiful space and joyous atmosphere. The beer selection is incredible and the entire staff was friendly and accommodating from booking to the night of the party. If you are looking for a supremely cool place to host an event (or just to have a beer), I highly recommend Bookhouse.“

“I went here with my gentleman friend the other day. Loved the dogs! I also loved the rosé wine since I'm not a beer drinker. The waffle fries were to die for, especially with the cheese sauce; the menu said it's beer cheese but luckily I couldn't taste beer. The Little Gem Salad was disappointing, though; the romaine wasn't cut! You get it whole, so I had to cut it up. I had to prep my own salad! The dressing was meh, but the salmon I got with it was delicious. I'l be back...but I will skip the salad.“

“This review is for brunch specifically - the bloody marys are not very good, they were strangely a light pink color and tasted very watered down. The snacks on top were great though, although the pierogi on top was super cold & a little soggy from resting on top of the drink. We split a brunch sampler board, which is definitely big enough for 2 people. The eggs came out lukewarm, which I assume is just due to the timing of plating them/being picked up. Everything on the board was quite tasty. We sat in the room off to the side of the main restaurant (beer garden room, I think?) - it was very warm in there, but April is a fickle month, so I get why it's hard to manage the temperature! It's a beautiful room though and I'm glad we got to sit there. Also want to shout out the fact that the bathrooms contain free period products which should be the standard everywhere ?“

Brick And Barrel Brewery • $
1844 Columbus Rd, Cleveland

“Went to Brick and Barrel on St. Patty’s day and it looked like a super cozy spot to drink some brews. We got their flight and sampled the different brews. They have a pizza place (different restaurant) next door that offers some delicious Italian pizza as well as other Italian food. They also had some sandwiches for St. Patty’s day! They serve some bar snacks inside and everyone is super warm and welcoming.“

Goldhorn Brewery Brewery • $$
1361 E 55th St, Cleveland

“If you ever have the chance to marry your best friend, celebrate it at the Goldhorn. From the beginning of the planning stages to the midnight send-off, this brewery had us thrilled with their welcome communication, huge private room, delicious dinner buffet, incredible wait staff, and above all, the tasty beer. Chris answered every question I had about planning the evening for our 120 guests. The kitchen was prompt with hot buffet items. There was plenty of space to move around in the venue with our DJ and dance floor. The kids had room to bounce off the walls (along with some of my cousins). Above all the service of the wait staff was undisputedly accommodating.I hope I never get married here again; no party will ever be as sweet.“

Forest City Brewery Brewery • $$

“This is a brewery that I wish I lived closer to. It has all the things I love - a big, quiet outdoor area with large trees, plenty of seating, and some fun Halloween decor; a historic building with multiple rooms for different size groups with decor that is fun, engaging and historical; and great beer too! I especially loved the French Toast Phantom that I ordered this week. Service is friendly and helpful here. It's an easy walk from W 25th in Ohio City, so if you're exploring that strip, check this place out too.“

“What a location!! Right on the water, we were sat in the enclosed patio area and got to watch the seagulls feast with us.We started with the beer and shot and I had a sweater weather, I had them change out the vodka for tequila. It was tasty! We got the crispy broccoli and cauliflower and boy was that a treat! The veggies were super crispy and the drizzles on there are full of flavor in such a memorable way… yum!For brunch I had the fried green tomato sandwich with pork belly. Holy cow! This was a mind blowing meal.My brother got the burger. He spoke very highly of his plate as well. This is a new favorite in downtown Cleveland. In a couple months I have tickets for a concert at Nautica (Jacob’s pavilion whatever we call it these days) and this restaurant looks right out on the river at the value. I’m gonna pregame here for sure! Thank you guys for a wonderful experience!Vegetarian options: Many options were on the menu for brunch at least.Parking: More parking than usual for an establishment in the Flats“

“I was at an ANFP conference in Cleveland- among many chefs and CDMS and RDs for the regional conference. A group of us decided to check out the Butcher and Brewer when we couldn’t get into another restaurant on East 4th and boy were we pleased it worked out that way because we had incredible service and delicious food and beverages!!!!! Raven was our server and she was absolutely amazing! She knew everything about the food and the brews and she was so much fun, we wished she could sit down and enjoy dinner with us! She made our experience memorable and made me feel proud to be a Clevelander knowing that there are fabulous people in the food industry in Cleveland! My out of town colleagues had an amazing time and can’t wait to come back to Cleveland to visit! One of my colleagues bumped into Raven on the street when she was leaving town and she went out of her way to say hi and stop and chat! What a gem! We wished she worked for us! With great customer service came an enjoyable experience and we absolutely LOVED the food!!!! Everything was delicious! I can’t wait to come back with my husband on a date night! Check out these corn dogs!!! So yummy!!! I even tried a coffee/vanilla infused beer which was also amazing!!! Check it out you won’t be disappointed and ask for Raven!“

Market Garden Brewery Store & Tours Brewery • $$

“We stopped here after visiting the west side market. I'm surprised that this spot doesn't have better ratings - we really enjoyed this restaurant. For a Saturday it wasn't too busy and we did not have to wait for seats. We ordered the flight of beers, smash burger, and the pretzel. I highly recommend the smash burger it was fantastic. The pretzel with cheese dip was great, and extremely fresh. Lastly the espresso martini was one of the best I have tried. Our server was friendly and helpful. There's outdoor seating, and this spot is definitely dog friendly.“

Hansa Brewery Brewery • $$
2717 Lorain Ave, Cleveland

“Excellent brewery and common room for a hearty lunch or dinner. Our lunch was excellent between the chicken noodle soup, Hansa burger, great fries and the Rueben eggrolls. The beers on tap were very good, and a half liter went down pretty quickly. They had at least six of their own on draft and a number of others to choose from. The waiter was ab absolute hoot and reminded us very much of the efficient German waitstaff in Germany. I am sure this would be a great place to hang out at night, or even out on the patio in the summer. We also took a stroll through the import store attached to the brewery and ended up walking out with way more than we expected. What a great place!“

“I'll keep this one short and sweet. I ordered lunch through DoorDash and it took longer than expected. My dasher said it was because my pizza got stuck in the oven. But when it arrived it was so good! The Bees Knees has a hint of sweetness from the honey and a kick from the crushed peppers. I'm not good with heat, but I was able to eat the entire pizza without water so it's not very hot. I had one tickle that made me cough, but that was all. The capicola was crispy and didn't taste spicy at all.I also ordered the saucy bread and they were OK, but nothing special. It didn't really have the seasoning that was advertised and it was slightly dry. I wouldn't order it again. This is definitely a good pizza place. If I'm lucky enough to find myself dining in while I'm in town, I'll order a larger pizza next time so that I have leftovers.“

“This is in the Ohio City neighborhood. It was packed and loud when we got there but they found us a table. We split a pretzel which was hot, buttery and delicious with a cheese sauce. I had an Ohio City Cream Soda which my companion thought was too sweet but I enjoyed it -- coconut spiced rum, pineapple, cola. We ordered burgers. They were thin patties, nicely griddled, juicy and with a good flavor. The top of my bun was cold, which was weird, but otherwise very tasty. My fries were skin-on and crispy. It was loud but our server was quick and attentive. We really enjoyed our burgers. There was a samurai (??) lamp in the back of the restaurant which was unexpected as it didn't fit the vibe.“
