This place had a fantastic vibe. Visiting from out of town and stumbled upon this gem. Tried the wings not bad may try something else if visiting again. Service was great and staff very friendly. Wanted to come back for the comedy show but couldn't make it. Hope to return again. Good energy overall.

My friend and I tried out Heart of Gold before going to Playhouse Square on a Saturday. We went for a fairly early dinner so we didn't have to deal with a wait - the place was actually almost completely empty when we dined. The space is really cool - very high ceilings, chill, but well decorated. It was still cold when we went so the patio was closed, but that also looked like it would be a great space in the warmer months. I walked in pretty unfamiliar with Heart of Gold other than it being on my list of places I wanted to try, so I wasn't ready for it to be a spot where you go up and order when you're ready - something that I'm very neutral on, but can be confusing as a first timer. However, the team there was welcoming and explained it as soon as we walked in. While we waited for our food, we both got wine - they only have natural wines on their menu, which were really great. We saw a table by us get some of the cocktails and they looked great too. My friend got the beet and citrus salad with chicken added and I got the chicken sandwich. We also got the waffle fries to share. We were both excited for the fries because we are suckers for anything with everything seasoning on it. Our fries unfortunately had a whisper of seasoning/seemed to be simply just waffle fries. And while they were exceptional waffle fries, we were hoping for the everything seasoning on them. The chicken was the real star here. Both of us had chicken as part of our meal - and wow. It's delicious. I would go back just for the perfectly crispy juicy fried chicken alone. Overall, it's a great spot to hang out with a group of friends. And I can't wait to come back to get that chicken again!

Took my family here for Saturday brunch and everyone loved it! I got the French toast sticks and was pleasantly surprised - really great flavor. Some people I was with got the loaded breakfast fries and they were raving. Such a cute spot for brunch.

Heart of Gold has so far been the best bite to eat in Cleveland since I moved here from the South. The atmosphere is trendy but laid back with good lighting and a cute small bar. I really loved the menu design, it is very obvious that even the smallest details of this restaurant have been thought out.The overall menu has an interesting and cohesive direction that incorporates Southern and Italian food - which to me was very reminiscent of the kind of fare you'd find in a lunch spot in New Orleans - especially their Tiki drinks on offer.The service was wonderful; everyone was kind, helpful, and seemed excited about the food.We chose the Roman, the fried chicken sandwich, the waffle fries, and the onion rings with the house made ranch.The Roman is a solid sandwich where you can taste every part mentioned in the menu description. I thought all of the ingredients played well together and reminded me a bit of a muffeletta.The waffle fries were very good - I thought the everything seasoning was a very smart choice (the ridges in the fries hold the seasoning in place) and were perfect for dipping. The fry crispiness to fluffiness ratio was to me a perfect balance. My only complaint is that they tasted a little too much of oil.The onion rings were very surprising to me. They are to this date the best onion rings I've ever had. The breading was perfectly crispy and the onion stayed in place upon biting it - which is typically my main issue with onion rings. The sauce drizzled on top paired well with the sweetness with the onion, and the horsey sauce added the right amount of heat.The chicken sandwich was overall a good chicken sandwich. The bread and the maggi mayo punch above their weight and those alone make this a stand out. The chicken was crispy and perfectly cooked. I personally think the chicken itself could use a little more flavor, but again that is only my taste.I can't wait to return to this restaurant and try the other items on the menu. Don't miss out on this place.

If you go please also order the chicken sandwich for me! They started off in fine dining so all ingredients are top notch. Solid, creativity crafted grub. The ambiance is cozy and minimalist yet captures your attention on every wall.
So so good but the servings are somewhat small depending on the entire. The fries are literally amazing.
