My family of 4 plus 2 additional guests had the pleasure of dining here Saturday 5/4/24 for dinner. We were seated, as requested, on the beautiful outdoor patio. I had eaten here before, but none of the other 5 had, so I knew they were in for a wonderful evening. All 5 proclaimed it the best meal, best service, best overall dining experience they have had in Cleveland. This is a wonderful, hidden gem that I am afraid by writing this review will become more known, lol. This is going to be our new go to place for celebratory dinners. Between us we had the 20 oz ribeye, the 16 strip, the pistachio crusted lamb and one of the amazing pasta/seafood dishes. Also the beet salad and the fennel salad, both amazing. We had three desserts, the tiramisu, a light and wonderful strawberry cheesecake and a bread pudding with vanilla, cinnamon and blueberries. There was nothing more the Standard or our server (I think her name was Amy?) could have done to make our evening any more memorable. It was fantastic!

Delicious drinks and food: calamari, French onion soup, lobster ravioli, rack of lamb, cheesecake dessert. Beautiful patio with live jazz music. The Standard is great for a special event.

Went for a birthday dinner and I am happy she chose this place. This place was so good. A 5-star experience that I did not expect. Because of the location you would think it was just an average restaurant but this place is offering a fine dining experience. I loved my cocktail it was perfectly made. I ordered the crab cakes for an appetizer they weren't bad but they weren't great either. My entree was as seafood pasta. It was a little pricy but for the portion size and quality it was definitely worth it.i I will definitely go there again.
The food is indescribable. It is a nice hole in the wall vibe from the exterior. Inside has a calm and old western style feel. It is small and intimate. The food was SUPERB! The price was reasonable for the amount you receive. I will definitely be back and recommend.

The service was outstanding, and the food was so flavorful and delicious! Would've liked acknowledgment that it was our anniversary as put that in the reservation the reason why we were coming. Otherwise it was a great time.

Our server, Jaime, was super attentive; very personable and efficient. The food was delicious as usual and never disappoints. I've been a long time customer and I've always enjoyed the total dining experience, musicians who entertain & the entire staff. I can't wait to see what's in store out on the patio this summer!

It has always been a joy and a wonderful experience to eat dinner at The Standard. Sometimes it's just a privilege to eat food prepared by someone who knows how to do it! Thank you so much. And many thanks to Calvin. It was a great host and server!

Quite good. Nice looking restaurant but it's a little out of place where it's located. Bread service is quite good as the bead was freshly baked and served with tapenade, olive oil and balsamic, and an assortment of olives and cheese. The dinner menu has good selection ranging from lamb, beef, seafood, duck and chicken. The braised short rib was good; flavorful and tender. The sauce was the standout, I asked for extra. The lamb mrouzia was my favorite, given this is a Morrocan restaurant. The lamb mrouzia was fabulous, just enough sweetness from the prunes and apricots meld perfectly together with the ever so tender lamb shank. The bread pudding and tiramisu were good but not exceptional. Overall a great meal and I will return for sure.
Calvin, our server was the best of all the ones we've had in all the times we've come there! It was like he literally read my mind on the things I wanted. From the chateaubriand steak tartar to the shrimp and lobster bisque, to the oysters to the rack of lamb, to the short ribs of beef, all was delicious. Thanks for the great food and service

Perfect place for date night. Food is always great. Each time we go both the owner and chef come to each table, chat with guest and how their ask meal was which makes the experience very personable.

Delicious very large portions.vegetarian and was concerned that the vegetarian couscous seemed to be the only option. It was truly special and was anything but a hardship.The 4 of us shared a salad and could have shared all our dishes as we all came home with half our terrific meals.Loved the photographs and the manager was forthcoming about the restaurant, his story of the area and the locale. FINE DINING RESTAURANT! I went here on a first date and it did not disappoint. we sat on the patio which allowed for a nice atmosphere for us to talk and the food was delicious. A bit on the pricey side but worth it! i will definitely be back!
