Despite a reservation, we waited nearly 30 after to be seated. Service was good. Spent over $200 for 3 meals, one being a "choice cut" center filet that was full of fat. This place is a joke. So many better hibachi restaurant in the Columbus area that provide better cuisine.at a more reasonable price point. Will not be back and suggest you not subject yourself to this place. Very "low class" So someone from said business referred me to a website that doesn't even work! This place is a dumpster fire and should be avoided at all costs! My original post holds true as a consumer!

Party of 9 with reservations were told there was a 25 minute wait. When seated, ordered drinks and were served soup and salad, were told there would be an extended wait for dinner service, and so, offered 3 free appetizers while we waited. Appetizers came out, and then the "chef" came to the hibachi table and started to cook. He was a nice guy, and fairly competent. In the end, dinner was served. Most steaks were over cooked. When the bill came, the free appetizers were not free. Won't do that again.

This place used to be good. I told my wife- let's give it another try after a couple rougher visits. Mistake. 30 minutes to get seated with no other people waiting and a reservation. Nearly an hour to get soup and salad. Reservation was 745 and we got food on our plate at 915 to 945. Bland and disappointing. Benihana isn't meant to be a 2.5 hour dining experience. Probably the end of the road for me here.

Our food was EXCELLENT. We had a good chef and an okay server. The server forgot to turn our grill on so we had to wait an extra 15 minutes before the chef could get started. Also our meals came with dessert which she forgot about, cashed us out and gave out boxes and we had to remind her of our desert. It was busy so I get it but hoped for better.

Made reservations for 6pm almost 3 weeks ahead of time. All our party was present but not seated until 6:30. Chef was great. Server took drink orders and delivered soup & salad but then failed to bring steamed rice to those who ordered it until the chef went and got it. Then we all needed drink refills but she never came. Then we had to track someone down to get our check. I know they were busy but honoring reservations within 10-15 minutes should be priority, even if that means walk in have to wait longer or be turned away. They either allowed over booking or too many walk in before 6pm.

The food was delicious, as always. It was a very busy evening with graduations and many large groups. The staff handled it well and was very pleasant and apologetic for any issues that arose. We were seated in a booth near the back corner and unfortunately there was no air movement where we were. It became stifling once the cooking commenced. I'm not sure if there were issues with the air conditioning. All in all, our chef was outstanding, the waitress did an awesome job under the circumstances, and the manager was great at checking on us.

We would come here all the time to celebrate special events. The last two times were absolutely horrid - from the food not being cooked right to completely not the level of service and quality we would normally receive here. Just completely let down and decided we likely won't return.

Good Afternoon,THIS IS LONG CAUSE I CAN’T MAKE THIS UP!!!This was our first time visiting. 04/27/2024. We were tracing back from Nashville.We called to make reservations and the gentleman answering the phone told us 1 to 1 1/2 hours wait. So we went online to make reservations instead of calling back because he stated they were busy. While looking online there were many open reservations, mind you we called at 7 pm. So I made reservations for 7:30 pm , which was available online, along with several more 15 minutes apart up to 9 pm. When we arrived with our party of 4, there were several empty tables and several couples waiting. The gentleman at the counter apologized saying they were short staffed and it would be just a few minutes, he was waiting for the busser to clear the tables. 15 minutes later we were seated. We heard the gentleman ask a waitress if she wanted our table and she said “I guess”….. Elaina was our waitress- needless to say she was not pleasant. We were at a table of 8, us 4 and a family with to young girls. Elaina wanted our drink orders which we then gave, she brought back waters for those that asked one kids drink and the wrong drink for our friend , she apologized and said I will be right back, yes she came right back with his correct drink but got our sushi orders from us four got the families order turned back to us and about insisted we order now. So we placed our order. we did not see our our waitress Elaina again for over an hour for refills - just water, my husband and friends wife asked for refills and the family at the table were still waiting for a glass of wine and a smoothie for one of the girls. 90 minutes into being seated. Our friend then went to the gentleman at the counter to complain and within MINUTES we had a new waitress come over asking what we still needed, I did not get her name but she stated she was there from 10 am this morning. She was fantastic…. With in minutes she was back and had every drink ordered from 90 minutes ago for the entire table of 8, along with more water. With in minutes we had soup, salad and sushi. Not seeing Elaina helping them…. She finally came over with an attitude asking if we needed anything. Which then we did not because the other waitress had taken care of us. Our chief then arrived, he was very polite and very friendly. He set our order ticket on the empty table behind him and a busser grabbed it and tosses it out. We all laughed and the chef asked Elaina to print him another one and she huffed away. She did bring a new one. Our meals were all prepared the person at the table with us had a seafood allergy so the chef prepared that all last. We however did not get our noodles he forgot and our friend asked if that was enough for two orders and he stated he only had one ordered. So his was never added. We were offered boxes and not asked how things were or if we needed anything else from our waitress which then left all our bills.The couple next to us wanted to tap and pay and Elaina said her machine had no internet connection and had to take our bills out front. We all sent our cards, she then came back, we and our friends signed and left NO tip because with all this story it was 10:30 pm by the time we all left. The family with young girls etc. We ENTERED at 7:30 pm and LEFT at 10:30 pm THREE HOURS is very unacceptable. Thank you for your time.Melissa M. Hansler
