Showed up in time to enjoy happy hour and it was DELICIOUS! We ordered lamb meatballs, koi hoisin pork belly, and mussels with togarashi puree. The meatballs were tender, moist, cheesy, and flavorful (ngl gave luxury ikea meatballs and I wasn't mad about it). The pork belly was a mouthful of flavor and texture, with crisp skin, and beautiful celeriac puree combined with the crunchy pickle/kimchi radish. The mussels made fun to play with tiny forks, grilled sourdough bread, rich and perfectly cooked but definitely not enough bread for scooping up a sauce so good. Unfortunately unimpressed by the marg, but the Elder Collins made up for it. We continued with the epic eats and had the charred octopus and duck bucatini. I'm a sucker for anywhere that serves octopus in a single tentacle over pieces and this one lived up to it. Cooked to perfection with complimentary flavors and textures combining bites of octopus, crispy potatoes, and salsa verde was incredible. The duck bucatini featured housemade ground duck sausage and bucatini from the local Flour Pasta Co. Incredible flavors, creamy but not heavy, somehow light and a bit citrusy, fresh yet rich with the duck. We ran out of room before getting to the pie (which is apparently one of their showstoppers) but we are looking forward to returning sooner than I think. The ambiance was fun, beware it gets surprisingly dark once the sun is down for the day. My only complaint was the marg (feels to easy to get wrong) and we did get asked by the server a bit excessively how it was going. Neither of which will skew my rating or next visit. Can't wait to give the rest of the menu a shot.

The cocktails are unique and very good, food is always outstanding, and I always enjoy the pie. I'm not sure which of the 3 is the best part!

I expected much better food. The Brussel sprouts were poorly cooked and under seasoned. Pork belly is supposed to be tender, it actually tasted like a dried out pork chop with fat on top. Tahini chocolate pie was cold and stale. I would not recommend the food. The only positive was the Amaro spritz’s they make and pleasant servers.

I have zero complaints about my experience here. The dining area reminds me of a split between a contemporary bar and a 1980s hometown establishment. I was worried that the food was going to be light, but they fill their plates. Our server Bryan hooked us up with great recommendations the whole way through. The pie menu has some classics on it, with a couple eccentric choices if you feel like rolling the dice. I'll be back before long.Highly recommend the Banana Brandy pie. Didn't even think to ever make a pie with a Nilla Wafer crust, but it took me straight back to my childhood.Highly recommend the Pork Appetizer, and the Duck Pasta. The Elote dip appetizer is hefty and very good.

I love the environment and food here at Rood! They always have an amazing menu with great food and cocktails. The vibe is chill, and is perfect for a casual dinner, or even a date night! I've come here with my friends a few times and we all enjoyed our food and cocktails.

Grabbed pick up order one day watching Cavs at the bar across the street. Horrendous. It was basically a big piece of super dry chicken. They were about to close, so I wrote it off. Its always busy, cant let one bad crew member mess up what may be a good thing.. til next time

Unknowingly visited during restaurant week so I snagged a great deal! But I would say the food is definitely worth the price but of course the pie was the star of the meal! I will definitely be back for a glass of wine + pie!

I went to try their pies and it did not disappoint.!There are so many choices. I ordered the peanut butter pie and it was fabulous. I sampled the ammaretto and apple from other members of my party and the were equally good. Great food in a nice atmosphere.

Special event this evening with some gal friends to celebrate 3/14 Pi Day! As if their pies are not delicious enough incentive, restaurant had offer that $3.14 of each carry out slice of pie would go to Make a Wish Foundation. I took Salt & Honey pie to go from cute camper order bar. Rood was wonderful in setting up reservation for our large group in back room. Quiet space, nice large tables, comfy booth back that all twelve of us could socialize and share the delicious food and desserts among one another. Went to support Cleveland Independents Restaurant week. Had fantastic fixed menu selection of appetizer eggplant kafta, entree citrus ginger steak, and dessert dark chocolate rasberry whip. Server let me sample two different draft beers before I found flavor profile I liked to pair with my meal of Hidden Springs Orange Crush American Wheat. The service, atmosphere, food were all delicious and I plan to return.
