“Visited this place late on Sunday and had an amazing meal. I don’t believe a lot of reviews until I have tried the food myself. Not only did they deliver on quality but the quantity exceeded my expectations. We ordered a medium chicken manchow soup, Shaadi wali chow mein and Veg Manchurian gravy. Although we were two people, we couldn’t finish the food and even had leftovers enough for lunch. The servers were kind and courteous as well. Overall, great vibe and food.“

“Annalakshmi is one of the best South Indian restaurants I have ever been to in Canada.We have been to 2 of their branches - Toronto and Mississauga they are both fantastic but the latter is a tad better. Recommended.Only place that can get chicken drumsticks with glaze.The Hakka food here is authentic and reminiscent of the Hakka food I had in Chennai.I always try a few dishes to gauge the chef's skills:1. Soup: I tried the crab meat soup. Excellent. Depth, body, and classic Hakka vibe in the essence and taste. I'm sure the Hot and Sour soup is great as well.2. Chicken drumsticks: These are a classic Hakka dish and this is the only Hakka place I've seen that can serve it with demi-glace. They have a dry option as well. Very garlicky and spicy as it should be. Frenched chicken legs were large and their coating was crispy. Awesome. Just as it would be prepared in Chinese restaurants in India.3. Chilli chicken: Of course, and they made it good. I asked for semi-dry. It's on par with the best I've tasted in the GTA which was at Little Tibet in downtown Toronto.Food was piping hot, portions were large, and overall presentation was excellent. If you ask for the highest spice level, you will leave warmed up. They are very generous with the ginger and garlic which is the basis of Hakka dishes.This resto has a younger vibe to it. There are many TV's, a bar layout that would appeal to younger people, and music choice that the would appeal to sub-40 diners. The murals on the walls are also quite interesting.Interior was extremely tidy, nicely laid out, and service was fast.The server was extremely attentive and prompt and friendly.I am confident in the chef's skills to be able to try some of the other Hakka dishes here. “My recent visit to Bombay Bar and Grill left me quite disappointed with the food. Unfortunately, some of the dishes seemed stale and had an unpleasant smell. It's a shame because I used to enjoy the food here.However, I must mention that Amrit, one of the staff members, provided great service. He was attentive and friendly, making the dining experience more pleasant.Overall, I had high hopes for Bombay Bar and Grill, but the decline in food quality was disappointing. “Chilli fry momos with chicken were PHENOMENAL highlight of all the dishes for sure. Schezuan chicken came with white rice, the chicken was a bit peppery and lacking the tang I was expecting. They used white meat instead of dark super fried chicken pieces which was honestly a nice change from some other Hakka places. We got the chefs special style vege noodles which weren’t too oily, very flavorful. Portion sizes for everything were great for the price. However, I was shocked to see garbage left outside the walkway. What a shame it will be to get recognized as an uncivilized nation. Please spread the word. Request our community to prove themselves otherwise. Disposing garbage is not the issue, the issue is our mindset.
