“Great Indian Fusion restaurant. I had the Rick's Fried Chicken Sandwich which was excellent. It is spicy though, so if you can't handle spice order something else (like the buttered chicken options.) I also had their Mango Lassi, and I thought it was good as well (though I'm not a Lassi expert.) The mango flavour and the yogurt come through. There's also a slight spice to it; not spicy but a spice that subtly adds another layer of flavour. Great restaurant. I'd come back again if I lived in the area.“

“My wife and I live to try different food all over the city, and lately, we have been trying vegan restaurants, one after another! Raw Aura is absolutely amazing! Staff is friendly and knowledgable, the chef is a talented artist at her craft, and the cutlery was replaced between courses... WoW! THE *TACO SALAD* IS THE BEST SALAD WE HAVE EVER TRIED !!! The store is located in a mall, but it was in the wrong side of the mall and looked like a factory area, so I didn't have high expectations. When I entered, I was shocked about very sophisticated inside.I was expecting a fluffy doughnut from the name "puff," but instead I got a crispy dough. It was so crispy that I thought it might have been raised twice. I bought the recommended popular Cookies & Cream and Double Chocolate. I couldn't keep them down in one piece.I would go back this shop again. Was there for a graduation party of more than 20 people recently and the owners let us come in even though it was already closing time. Staff was excellent and the food was so good. Most people were not vegetarian and we had a few skeptics, but everyone was so happy with their meals. On my most recent visit, I attended a coffee watercolour paint day, where the café repurposed used coffee grinds. This innovative practice caught my attention, as well as placing it near international dog day (also my dogs birthday) allowed me to bring my dog and my parents to participate in accessible outdoor fun for all of us and creating some art to celebrate a fun day. This was just one example of the many ways 89 continues to inspire me and the community at large.“

Wrap could definitely use more sauce but it was still really good. Meal was very filling. Definitely wanna return and try more of the menu items.“

“Came in with a large group of friends, I tried the mango shaved ice and it comes in two sizes small or regular, we got the regular it was very yummy and refreshing the mango was also super nice and sweet. My friends also tried the oreo, strawberry cheesecake and matcha flavours and everyone really liked it. I think its a different and refreshing treat, great for the summer, they have limited seating though and I can see how it may get busier during the summer months. Despite that you should definitely try it, the mango flavour is the best!“

“So ordered from here for the first time. It was takeout because of COVID but that did not impact the quality of the food. Five of us ordered and five of us were satisfied. Best Mexican food I’ve had in a long time. The chimichanga was good. The street corn was GOOD. The divorce enchilada was GOOD. So glad we tried this place and I see it being a staple. “Although there's very limited vegan-friendly places in Mississauga, myself and many vegan activists love this place. However, I strongly urge the staff to ditch wearing fur coats. We approached them with kindness and asked them if they are willing to put up no fur small poster at their door (nothing graphic and it's a compassionate stance) without hurting customers who wears fur. It really makes myself and others so uncomfortable. Vegan establishments is literally the only place we feel safe and have socials after a long day. Many vegan restaurants/cafes in Toronto are even doing their part in fur activism by putting up fur posters that kindly ask customers to not wear them, and they are still welcomed to the establishment. Please ask the staff to not wear fur in ANY vegan establishments. It's disrespectful.“

“We were on a North Indian food tour while in Toronto for 2 full days this week. It was a lot of fun trying the excellent choices and options in the area. Tamarind was a lunch stop on Day 2.They have an interesting variety and fusion-ish concept. We tried a lot of appetizers, including paneer bao, paneer taco, kulcha chana, chili paneer, and manchurian. I think the paneer bao and taco were ok. The chili paneer and manchurian were good. I can't say the same for the kulcha. Oh, not to forget the gol gappa shots. Awesome presentation on those with the gole gappa on top of a shot glass that come in a big tray with some dry ice smoke action.Then for the mains we had paneer and dal makhani, which were our standard test at each restaurant on the tour. The dal at Tamarind was really good. I would say that it was very rich and creamy, which made it a bit less the winning dal entry. The paneer makhani was good as well. Garlic naan and all were fine. I think we went at a time where the place was dserted (pun intended), so the service ended up being spotty. Oh, we did have this kind of mouse dessert at the end, which was OK,“
