“Dave's Hot Chicken is at LEAST as good as any of those listed in Yelp's "Best Chicken" list. From the time one walks into the brightly decorated restaurant, it borders on sensory overload - from the bright colors, the paintings, the noise of the crowd (it's nearly always crowded), the fragrance of the food, it's a delightful carnival atmosphere. I have only had the mild chicken (which I STILL think is deserving of the name "Dave's Not-So-Hot Chicken", though I do see that being potentially problematic), but you can order varying degrees of heat. Meals are served with crinkle fries, the best dill pickle slices you've ever eaten, and Dave's Sauce. Portions are generous and served with friendly acknowledgement. If you really like chicken, and are resigned to spending ridiculous amounts of money for chicken, don't waste your cash by taking the easy way out (KFC or Chick Phil Eh) - you won't leave Dave's hungry, bored, or disappointed.“

“I mostly stopped by drive thru but today my 2nd son and I had a lunch date together. And we decided to eat KFC inside the restaurant. My son ordered a chicken sandwich combo and I ordered 3 pieces chicken combo. Crews are kind and generous. Foods are a fresh and warm enough. Facility is a clean and organized. Restroom is a clean and they have a toilet seat paper covers, enough toilet papers and smell’s good.“

“I went over to the KFC/A&W over on 101st and Sunnyside for lunch today. While enjoying my chicken and root beer float, a mentally challenged kid came in to get his usual. Two chili dogs. The manager, Jacob, came over and I heard him tell the kid that he didn’t do anything wrong but he wanted him to sit down for a minute, and then I heard him say the most amazing thing. He told the kid that he sees him come in there all the time and that he wanted to help him out. He told the kid straight out that next week he wants him to come in and they’re going to get him some pants, shirt, shoes and hat and get him started training for a job! the kid was so excited that he ran out and got his mom who was apparently in the car, I guess, yelling at the top of his lungs excitedly, “I got a job! I got a job!“” the mom came in, a little confused sounding, and introduced herself to Jacob and asked if what her son said was accurate. I think she was a little gob smacked by it.
