“Stopped here for my lunch break. I'm glad I did. I really enjoy some good teriyaki. And this was pretty much exactly what I was craving. It was around 11:30 and there were maybe 5 people waiting for there food to go. I ordered the Spicy yakisoba chicken. It came out pretty quick. For the price point and quality I loved it. I came with some veggies. Do wish the loaded them up a little more. The noodles were good. The chicken was moist and had good flavor. I will be back for sure. I guess the only other thing I would say is since I love condiments for my teiyaki I wish they had more options other than teriyaki sauce and sriracha. Maybe peanut sauce and sweet chili sauce and the chili garlic sauce. Anyways if you haven't tried them you should“

“Absolutely incredible. I deliver for doordash in Portland for several years and the people here are so sweet, my lady and I had to try. WOW! We had the popcorn chicken meal, (comes with purple rice my favorite) we added sweet spicy and sweet soy to try both. The K-rice doggie was airy, light, so crispy, soft, juicy sausage with the perfect amount of flavor. I couldn’t finish the meal before needing to write this review. I hope everyone gets to try this!!!! The price may seem high to some, but my lady and I both shared the meal and corndog and were completely satisfied!!! We will be back!! “We decided to try Basilisk at The Zipper for a bite to eat, and it was my first time there. It's a food court concept with a central seating area surrounded by various restaurants and a bar. There was a short line that moved quickly, and the cashier/server was super friendly and helpful explaining the menu. I opted for the Chicken Sandwich with their signature hot sauce and a side of coleslaw. This sandwich is no joke! It's huge and incredibly flavorful. The chicken was perfectly crispy, and the hot sauce had a good amount of heat that was balanced by the creamy coleslaw that had what I assume was roulade sauce in it. Everyone in our group enjoyed their meals. Would I eat here again? Absolutely! Highly recommended!“

“Most tender, well flavored chicken I’ve eaten. Delicious! The white meat was unbelievably moist and the skin crisp and delightfully smoky. Simple presentation that was perfect for my in things being an unostentatious. Beet and grapefruit salad was a wonderfully surprising combination of flavors. We had a half order each of the potatoes and sweet potatoes to round everything off. Wonderful comfort food and my favorite place to go with my best friends.“

“Absolutely delicious chicken! Just the right amount of crispy-ness and crunch. Awesome sauces to try and something for everyone's taste. We've tried them all and keep going back to the bulgogi. But the garlic parmasean (one of the new offerings) is a new favorite! It's a bonus that besides the great food that the staff is friendly, the service is fast and the restaurant is clean and tidy. I'd say that the only downside is the size of the establishment. If you have more than 2-3 people, get the food to go. It's too small to eat there. There are some picnic tables outside but unless it's summer, it's not really feasible to utilize them.“

“This was such a serendipitous find! Super cute spot with limited seating but enough to get the job done. Loved the tender poached chicken, the spicy ginger sauce, and the light yet flavorful broth!!!! It warmed up my soul after walking through the rainy streets, looking for a late lunch!!!! A bit steep on the price, but the quality is definitely worth the splurge for a good meal. I've already recommended this spot to a friend who is visiting town next month, and I know I will be dreaming about this meal and all the things that made me feel.“

“It might be about a 4.6, but it rounds to 5 stars, and that makes this a rare five-star place for me. The service was excellent, the food was overall excellent, and the prices were very reasonable. The chicken I ordered was maybe just a touch boring, but it was cooked really well, and tasted great. The Nashville hot may have been too hot, so something a bit more in-between could be nice (I like spicy, but depending on the mood, the Nashville hot may be too spicy). The biscuits and sides were really good. The portion sizes are large for the price.I am very interested in going back. The menu is pretty extensive for a chicken place, and compared to one of the other front-runners for fried chicken in town, there's just a lot more I want to try. I'm very glad we ended up here.“

“Excellent. Sweet and sour chicken, chow mien, general tso chicken. One of the best I’ve ever had at a neighborhood Chinese restaurant. We ordered delivery and it came hot and packaged well. “Trying this spot seemed like a must when in Portland and I'm glad I did. I got the classic Khao Man Gai which was very good. I loved the sauce that came with it too. The service was quick too. There is free street parking outside. No complaints.“
