The venue is small (not much room to stick around, especially with long queues), but cute. One of the only downsides is the price: expect to pay $6+ for a single scoop. Let’s support this family owned business because it’s worth it!?Sandwich: Pork Belly is on a different level (Also recommend Lemongrass pork/chicken) The carrot and cucumber daico is so different than other places, which is a plus point from me. 10/10?Killer Fries: I found this on delivery app but couldn’t find it on the menu in store. I’m pretty sure it’s still available as a “secret” menu. It has fries, bulgogi meat, and 3 kinds of sauce. You have to give this a try!!! 10/10They also make their own hot sauce which is FIREEEEE?. Like what’s better than fresh sauce compare to on-the-market sauceI got the combo which is the sandwich, potsticker, and thai tea and everything is phenomenal. I didn’t expect it to be this good and you can feel the freshness of everything. I love family owned business and this place has prove its worth. Will come back for sure?“

“As a 1st time guest, this restaurant is fantastic. Smooth and friendly seating after arrival. Ambience and music levels were ideal. Surrounding diners all seemed content and everyone enjoying themselves. There was a calm sense of urgency and efficiency by the staff which shows good management is present. The food was perfect, well balanced, great selection of greens, proteins and sides. Flavours were all great matches for each dish. The venue is well kept and clean, this to me shows great care is taken in the presentation and look of the space. Well done to the team. With all the positive, there is always one issue that is showing up on checks . The staff wellness charge on the check. This passive guilt charge is not a concern of diners. This is an ownership responsibility. My recommendation is to add $1 to all your top 5 dishes to cover this expense. Staff deserve all the support possible especially in hospitality as it's long hard hours. Just don't add it to the guest check. It's weird and also skews the tip calculations on the check total. Find another way . See you soon“

Also, I think another reviewer mentioned they left hungry? To be fair, we only ordered four plates and 2-3 were recommended per person at minimum, meat free. Highlight of our visit to Portland and visited twice in 2 weeks. The food was unbelievably tasty — they really didn’t compromise on Texan barbecue quality with their Thai focus. The white curry with brisket burnt ends was one of the best dishes I’ve had all year. The massaman lamb curry was phenomenal too.The cocktails (Shoulda Woulda Coulda and Life of Luxury) were unfortunately overly sweet and candy-like. I would skip them and just get a cold Singha draft or their alcohol-based slushies instead. We received cold service on our first visit but super friendly and attentive service on the second. “Pizza thief is a great, casual pizza spot! I came here for lunch on a Friday and got three slices and a small seasonal salad. They didn't have all the slices on their menu available, unfortunately, so I didn't get to try the slice I really wanted to, but we got the cheese, hot tony, and seasonal slice. The cheese was my favorite! Tasted like a classic NY slice. The seasonal was also one of the better white pizzas I've tried (they're usually not my favorite). It had asparagus, sunflower seed pesto, spring onion mix, and a bunch of cheeses. The Hot Tony wasn't my favorite surprisingly since I typically love a spicy meat pizza. And their small seasonal salad was good but just a touch too acidic for me although I will say the feta on the salad was super creamy and delicious.“

I find it very hard to find a good shave ice place on mainland. And I was especially surprised to find one in Portland! Wailua shave ice is a Hawaiian style shaved ice place. They make their ice very thin and soft and nothing like your typical snow cone. The fact that the owners are from Kauai is a bonus as my family is from there as well. They most certainly do not skimp out on syrup or toppings. I would highly recommend this place if you are in the area. The only downside is that they do not have indoor seating. “Chilango PDX is the best vegan food cart. Vanessa is so sweet and accommodating. If something is too spicy or not spicy enough, she’ll make you another one. The food is totally five stars and I’m not even a vegan. I’m now bringing all my friends there! Yum!!“

“An absolute delight for brunch! I was in Portland for only a day and 2 people highly recommended this spot and it did not disappoint. They usually have a great list of specials. I had the pancakes with strawberry and whipped cream, the salmon hash, French press coffee and cinnamon pecan roll.Everything was delicious and felt like it was homemade from fresh ingredients. The staff is very friendly and accommodating, gave us lots of suggestions on what and how to order. The cafe has an overall fancy french bistro vibe“

“This place is in an alley off the most choice stretch of Division... It's got a pleasant cave-like ambiance with a hipster chandelier of feathers... the crowd was fun & diverse... the staff were kind... the best part, though, was the super creative wine list - that also offered some affordable options too! Didn't get to taste the food :/“

“Perfect rainy day food!! service was quick, granted we came right at the start of dinner service, only people eating inside but lots of to go orders came in and out while we were there. the atmosphere is cozy. Fried Rice Specieal (w Chinese sausage): good shrimp/fish sauce flavor, all the strong flavors (like birds eye chili and cilantro) come on the side so you can easily mix in or omit. 8/10 Braised Chicken Thigh in Curry with Roti and Pickled Veg: So incredibly comforting, simple yet amazing depth of flavor (warm spices, chicken was falling off the bone). Portion size was perfect, felt full at end with no leftovers. 9/10 best dish of food i've had this year Can't wait to come back again and try the drink menu“

“Speedboat coffee is a very cute coffee shop. It has the classic homey feeling that I love in a coffee shop.We got chai tea lattes and they were delicious. We also got some GF treats that were made by the owners mom. They were delicious, however my partner has celiac disease and had a reaction to them. I do not fault the business, accounting for celiac disease in gluten free foods is difficult because of the cross contamination and even needing to use separate cutting boards or other utensils. I only mention this so other people with celiac can remain safe!I will be returning to speedboat for more coffee soon! Thanks for the great service.“

“NY style pizza from a food truck? You betcha. Top PDX pizza places for NY style pizza are usually Escape from NY, SFNY, SIZZLE Pie, Baby Doll but now you can add Giants NY to the list. Ordered an 18” Pepperoni pie and everything about it is just right. The fold, the cheese pull, the taste, Yumm! Also ordered a sausage calzone because it is so rare to find a calzone here that contains ricotta cheese. This was huge and full of goodness. That ricotta sure hits the spot!“
