“Ken’s bakery was such a cute place! We ordered the Oregon croissant which was absolutely amazing. It had blueberries and blackberries and was toasty warm, it melts in your mouth! The morning bun was also delicious with a hint of orange and the coffee always also really good! The lady taking our order was very friendly. We will definitely be going back for seconds! Would highly recommend checking them out for a quick bite, but they also have seating inside if you want to stay and work or chat with a friend.“

“This was the closest coffee shop within walking distance of my brother's house where I was staying according to Google Maps but it was not very walkable--lots of freeways stood in my way of getting there. However, it was worth the trek. The Wicked awesome breakfast sandwich ($8) was messy, gooey, eggy, filling, and delicious. Good bagel and flavor--I could tell it was made with love. I also enjoyed my Iced dulce de leche latte. Sweet but not too sweet. Service was good, friendly, and helpful. There's some outdoor seating and tables, but only outside because it's like a drive-by cafe. No outlets but worth it.“

“Popped in over the weekend and picked up some pies and cookies. The cookies were good but the pies? Exceptional! The pecan pie was just enough gooeyness full of pecans and the crust was one of the best bakery crusts we've had. The college kid had rave reviews of the s'mores pie- (by "rave" I mean a full on text with an exclamation point!) Shop was adorable, service was fantastic. Thank you Pie Spot! We'll be return customers!“
“This review regards the quality of coffee I received by ordering online. The 3 coffees I chose were roasted the next day, and were delivered via USPS 2 days later to Central Oregon (via priority mail) -- excellent! The Spirit Lifter blend was just what I was looking for; it's very rich but smooth and makes a very good espresso. My only disappointment was the Night Moves decaf because it's a dark roast and I don't like dark roast beans -- the website description doesn't mention that the decaf is dark roast.“

“I've only been here twice but each time was such a good experience, I can't wait to go back! Excellent food with rotating specialties, kind and affable staff and delicious coffee. You wouldn't think it would feel as nice as it does looking on the outside (the space used to be a Starbucks) but it is quite pleasant! I highly recommend checking it out. I am delightfully surprised each time I'm here!“

“This is a cozy little spot for breakfast and coffee. I got biscuits and gravy and my wife got the breakfast sandwich with jalapeno feta. “Best latte I've had in a while and it came with a little chocolate. They have a little market with meats, cheeses, and desserts. I think I got a couple of cookies that were gluten free, but I'm not sure and the friendly employee didn't seem to understand what I was asking. This place is worth a visit if you are in the area. It makes a great place to stock up for a picnic.“

“Heart is one of my favorite roasters in the US and it's just as good in person. While this looks like it is just a coffee shop spot with no roasting on location it's cozy and the staff is friendly and they have stellar beans I fancy. Cold brew was a winner and the seating area is comfy with a good atmosphere. Top spot for sure when in the area.“

“Tried Carnelian for the first time this morning and what a hidden gem! I had an iced orange mocha and was really happy to find out all of their flavors/syrups are housemade and organic. I'm not usually a fan of fruity flavors in espresso, but I was really impressed with how smooth and balanced my drink was. The atmosphere in the place is very warm and our barista was kind and patient while we decided our order. The food options are assorted pastries and bagels with shmear. Small tables available in the back room for getting work done and on a sunny day they have tables outside. Will be coming back here!“
“Visited here for the first time during a walk around the neighborhood - and this place is such a pleasant surprise! Both of the drinks we ordered here were delicious and it came out at an efficient time. I would definitely visit this place again to see what other special drinks they offer.“
“We ordered mocha fogo with an add shot. The barista said they pull double shots so it was a quad shot, and it did not disappoint! The slight heat from the chili with the rich texture of the mocha was so perfect. The beans they have here are phenomenal! I am a native Californian who likes strong coffee, and this place will be on my "must have" list when I am in Oregon! Nossa you do coffee right! (Insert heart emoji here)“

“This wasn't what I was expecting, but it's clearly a nice local breakfast spot. We usually go to Original when we are on Barbur, but Hubs wanted a waffle, and Yelp recommended this spot. It's in a very tight strip mall that has 80's stainless signs that have seen better days. But walking in reminded me of La Provence in its original incarnation: when it was just a basic bistro with yellow walls and burgundy accents (in the 90's). The menu seems very much like Biscuits, including a scramble with spinach, onions, bacon and Parmesan. They are also one of the only restaurants (besides Biscuits) that has Chipotle Tabasco sauce, which is my favorite. My scramble was delicious. The Parmesan broiled on top was definitely a game changer! Hubs said it was a "damn good waffle" This place deserves to be busier, so do your thing, Yelp!“

“Good selection of baked goods and drinks. Just be ready to awkwardly stand at the counter waiting to order because the folks here look at you then just keep working on previous orders without saying anything courteous like "will be right with you in a minute". Maybe they don't want travelers or maybe they're just shy idk. When she was finally ready to take my order she couldn't even say "what would you like" lol just stared at me. Not really rude in my opinion but not super inviting either.“

“Really good food, only reason it's a 4 star is because eggs aren't seasoned that well, but great quality bread and good fluffy eggs. Bacon was also kinda light but I still enjoyed it. Definitely recommend the Lloyd breakfast panini“

“Not only do they have great coffee and baked goods, but it's a fun and unique take on a coffee shop, which I love. Our drip coffee and macchiato were both delicious. And the cookie and almond croissant (day old) were tasty! She heated up the croissant for us and despite being in a bit of a hurry, we couldnt resist sitting and enjoying the place. Fun, friendly, unique vibes. If i lived in ne pdx this would be my regular spot for sure.“

“Busy spot, Nice service and quick turnaround although my gf ordered no bacon on her breakfast sandwich and received almost twice as much as I did lol. She's a good sport and I took the extra bacon home but it was odd because the guy who took our order was very aware of our request. you're not waiting for your food for a long time either which is nice compared to other cafe spots and I enjoyed my BACON full breakfast sandwich. Had a vanilla ice latte as well which was great.Oh ya cowboy cookie is a good choice. Nice and moist. “

“This was an amazing find in a city filled with coffee shops. There was nothing stuffy about the place and the service was impeccable. We sat in the window and watched locals stroll in greeted by first name... and we were treated just like we were daily customers as well. If you’re in Portland and you’re near 40 LBS make it a stop!“

“If you have the opportunity to drive any amount of time to try the food here. Do it, you will not be disappointed. The harvest toast is the Most delicious thing I've eaten in 37 years. Everything if artistically presented and the flavors are divine. Give these people your money.“

“Great little coffee shop lots of good drink choices but not overwhelming and plenty of pastries and actual viable food to order. After going to case study on Sandy and them refusing me service because they don't accept cash this was a nice change of pace where I was able to get service and pay for it with the currency of the land. The employees are very friendly and patient with the large group of older generation that are coming in and need a little time to figure out what they need. It was really nice to see them treating the elderly with respect.Parking: Not a lot of free parking most of it you will have to pay for and there's just not a lot of parking in this area to begin with. Get there early and you might get lucky otherwise bring an umbrella because you're going to have a walk and it's Portland so it might rain.“

“TLDR: Lots of food, a diner vibe and great service! This place was PACKED both times we went so if youre going during peak diner hours, beware there may be a bit of a wait. However, once ordering, the chef was really quick at getting food out. The migas esque dish as shown was really tasty and i enjoyed it. Friends all enjoyed their bfasts too, esp the unlimited coffee. We went back a second time and i got the goat cheese omelet which was cooked perfectly and quite a nice flavorful, healthy bfast. The cinammon roll was pretty solid too. Overall, the fun diner vibe + service takes this place to 5 stars and the food is solid, flavorful and lots of food!“
“The staff, the amazing pastry selection, the house made lunch menu, the co and y booths are all 10/10. A real gathering spot for the neighborhood, Kelsey Lauren and the rest of the crew are just plain amazing. Check out the rotating featured artist too!“

Cannot wait to get it again!!!!“
“My favorite place in the neighborhood to grab a bite and a drink! The staff is always so kind and the food is DELICIOUS. Tacos made with line-caught sockeye salmon, are you kidding me?! “We’re so happy to have found this spot. The cart is a short walk from the farmer’s market. He said he’s been there 10 years!! The owner clearly cares for his community and shows this by encouraging a “pay it forward”process as well as using local businesses to source his offerings. Great spicy chai~ thanks so much!! I didn’t see the pastries but will certainly be back to give those a try (you had me at best almond croissant ever Jonathon Perez! ?)“

“Awesome family, friendly restaurant. There's a spacious feel to the restaurant and it is laid out so uniquely. There's fish tanks and a kid's play corner (so children can play while they wait for the food or after they are done eating). The service was friendly and the food was DELICIOUS! We got the orange chicken and the shrimp ramen and everything tasted amazing! Our little kid was super happy toddling around & we all had a great time! Definitely will be back!“

“I have lived in Morocco and been traveling there since the 1970s. my lunch yesterday at Kasbah Moroccan Cafe was undoubtedly the best Moroccan food I have eaten in the US. The food was delicious and authentic. Portions were generous. While we had to eat outside due to Covid, we could see that the inside of the cafe was attractively done in Moroccan style. The owner was very friendly. My son-in-law is Moroccan and he loved the food as well. I unreservedly recommend this place and will make a point of eating there next time I visit Portland.“
