“Awesome little place. Right on the Streetcar route. Abba is pioneering new coffee and drink options; notably the Pistachio latte and the sesame seed latte. These are not made with flavored syrup, instead made in-house into a paste. Abba also boasts a beautiful live in house coffee tree.Parking: Abba is right along the streetcar track in NW Portland, easy to access by foot, bike, or streetcar. Parking is possible, but not nearly as fun as the streetcar.“
“Delicious espresso-based drinks (a cortado isn't on the menu, but the barista made me one), great value, relaxed environment — and how often do you go to a coffee shop with a little fountain inside? They've got a shelf with mostly children's books but some books for adults. Seating on the Café Zamora side is kind of a living room setup — a couch, coffee table, and two chairs. Nice for sitting and reading for a little on a rainy day.“

“We needed to make a quick coffee stop in the late afternoon. As a Filipino I'm always a sucker for ube. I forgot to specify that I wanted an iced ube latte but didn't mind that they gave me a hot latte. Yet 5 minutes later they also gave me an iced latte on the house! Both drinks were the perfect amount of sweetness while keeping me awake for the rest of the day. We also bought beans and the roast date was pretty recent. Overall, great drinks and friendly employees! Will definitely be back before the end of our trip to Portland.“

“The most welcoming, quaint, peaceful coffee shop with the very best coffee. The music is great too. I don't remember the last time I had an iced coffee that I enjoyed this much. The owner allowed us to sample their horchata cold brew which was the best cold brew I've had. To try something else, I ordered an iced dirty chai. And it was delicious. We did not try any food, but Mudd Works Roastery earned every bit of 5 stars regardless. We live on the other side of town, and we will definitely make our way back as soon as we can.“

“BREWED LIFE has been my daily coffee / Espresso supplier for years and I'm so grateful to the AMAZING main HBIC Randa ❤️ She always has a genuine smile for me and every single day makes sure my drink is the way I like; integrity matters. small business mean a lot to the community and this one has my heart. The coffee beans are the BEST! I grab a bag to take home each week and for gift giving!“
“Hands down best cappuccino foam in town. Possibly even the state. Maybe the world? idk I haven’t been to every coffee shop but I figure why bother at this point. Amazing drinks, pastries, prices, and, most importantly, incredible mother daughter duo making the world a better place one drink at a time.“

“This was perfect! I love this coffee shop so much. The owner is such a nice person and caring! I am very surprised they don’t have more business because they deserve it! I have been to over 50 coffee shops across the country and there have been some with really bad coffee and they had more business. So if you are looking for good people and coffee this is the place for you!“

“Exceptional coffee & 'pastry cuisine' offered by Electrica! While appearing as though simply an amenity to Schoolhouse Electric; their cohesive atmosphere, as well as their wonderful baristas crown the café as a venue in itself. Personally enjoyed the continuum of warehouse style w/ both the light wood & elegant lighting- I'd consider this a rather serene location for study or meeting others, especially w/ the (apparently!) reduced popularity during the afternoon. It's a bit removed from the city centre, but likely benefits from this w/ abundant parking & quiet surroundings :-)If it's worth mentioning my private experience; I entered after making a minor pilgrimage across the commercial area they're located in, nearing close, I felt a bit tenuous over how long I could remain. Yet, despite this, I were so incredibly welcomed & had not only a divine mocha, but an inviting conversation w/ Michelle, the active barista- if I've spelled her name properly, haha (omit where necessary..)She managed to facilitate a coffee-based memory, whilst simultaneously cultivating a uniquely natural dialog, even kindly maintained while an exodus of others began nearing close. Tragic may it be, I'm only visiting Portland briefly, but I'd certainly be a candidate for entering this café as a routine regular- and, highly recommend any to visit this iconic building!“

“Visited today for the first time and really enjoyed it! They accidentally made my drink hot and we’re very accommodating about remaking it. Seems like a good shop to study or work in & their pastries were yummy!Something I’ll mention, both matchas I got had larger clumps of unmixed powder floating on top- turned me off a little from my drink but over all had a good taste.“
“All killer, no filler. Incredible traditional coffee drinks. Expert barista. Prices that are probably too low for the excellent quality. This isn't a place where you will study or meet people. It's a tiny shop. But it's a place where your 10 minutes there will rejuvenate your day. It's quiet, smooth, and excellent.“

“Coffee was delicious! I got a mocha and my friend an espresso shot from which I took a little sip. It was delicious! Super friendly and accommodating staff! We want to come back on a weekend and try some of the weekend-only snacks on their menu!“

“Tried Carnelian for the first time this morning and what a hidden gem! I had an iced orange mocha and was really happy to find out all of their flavors/syrups are housemade and organic. I'm not usually a fan of fruity flavors in espresso, but I was really impressed with how smooth and balanced my drink was. The atmosphere in the place is very warm and our barista was kind and patient while we decided our order. The food options are assorted pastries and bagels with shmear. Small tables available in the back room for getting work done and on a sunny day they have tables outside. Will be coming back here!“

“Lovely staff and great coffee. I love their chai coffee in particular. I wish they were open longer on weekends as I might like to try a cocktail they apparently have the ability to make....but such drinks in the morning are not desirable and during weekdays they close at 5pm.“
“Visited here for the first time during a walk around the neighborhood - and this place is such a pleasant surprise! Both of the drinks we ordered here were delicious and it came out at an efficient time. I would definitely visit this place again to see what other special drinks they offer.“
“I go into this fabulous shop for beauty medicine. It feeds my soul to look and feel all the wonderful textures and colors. I feel inspired to revive beauty in so many aspects of my life as I peruse all the little nooks and crannies that are filled with hand-made wonders of art and nature. Thank you to all you amazing, gifted women who pour your hearts into your art and share it on such an inviting display.“

“One of OG coffee houses in Portland still offers delicious coffee in an industrial setting. I like the high ceilings, huge windows and solid furniture. I feel they lend themselves to creativity. I found free parking on a side street, but there's 2-hour metered parking right outside. The only perk of the metered parking is that it keeps the sketchy vans that never leave away- iykyk I still get a kick out the fact Jerry Seinfeld was here. My service experience was prompt-unlike his Portland famous experience“

“Stopped here on the way-ish to Forest Park. This place looks like a great spot to get cozy and meet a friend. Ordered two breakfast sandos to go- one meat and one vegetarian. They only had bagels this time so I will have to come back and catch them on a biscuit morning. Washed it down with a honey cinnamon latte and saved a pecan toffee scone for later- yum! Service was fast and friendly.“

“Been wanting to try this place and am really glad I did. I will definitely be back. The breakfast sando doesn't look like much, but it tastes incredible. Got my son a waffle and that was also tasty. Would love to try more of their coffees!“

“Sipping a natural Colombian Wush Wush pour over. Tasty, bright, very complex, just like sweet juice. Intense but in a good way.A house blend cappuccino (Brazil + Ethiopia) was good, too. A tad too roasty, but it’s always a tad roasty if there’s Brazil in it, usually. Still smooth and not smokey. Also there’s food served here that looks good. Didn’t have any, since wasn’t hungry, but had I been, I’d definitely check it out.Great shop!“

“Strong coffee with a classic atmosphere. The historic building, white and black tiling, and marble tabletops are best appreciated when the sun shines through the huge windows and makes the indoor greenery pop even brighter. It isn't the biggest cafe, but there are a fair number of two-seater tables, a window counter, and a larger circular table for groups you might be lucky enough to snag. You could spend all day here, starting off with a coffee and pastry in the morning, then lunch with pre-packaged yogurt and salads, then start your evening with a cocktail. Alternative milk options available. With free Wi-Fi and outlets, it's not hard to see why many choose here to study or work. Dispense your own water from the water station at the pickup counter. For explanations of the various drinks and unlabeled pastries, look no further than your friendly barista. I opted to get a Caffe al Pepe, an interesting twist on a latte with black pepper and honey. For those who like a hint of spice in their drinks, would definitely recommend - I could even have used a bit more pepper. My Trail Mix cookie was also a delight, being the perfect size and mixture for someone indecisive like myself. Prices are a little on the higher end (a cookie + medium specialty latte coming out to over $12 pre-tip), but worth the occasional treat and a few hours spent basking in Umbria's light.“
“Met a friend here for coffee and loved it. I tried an ube + coconut iced coffee and it was delicious. They also have each of us a free cookie (also delicious) with our coffees which was delightful. I will certainly be back!Kid-friendliness: They have kid friendly beverages and cookies“

“Such a cozy neighborhood spot down by the riverfront! My boyfriend and I split the maple breakfast sandwich and the breakfast burrito (adding in the bacon, pickled onions and sriracha mayo) and both were SO delicious and filling. The oats and honey latte iced added the perfect bit of sweetness to our breakfast too. I am already planning to return to try out the chocolate chip cookies and other baked goods (and the beers!! Highly recommend!“

“I'm a coffee lover. So I checked out Futura Coffee Roasters at Glisan St. in Portland- so here's my review: The coffee is good, i usually like bold, strong, black coffee- that's what I got here. I've to admit, i don't get the coffee hype about this beans or that beans, so I just god their regular coffee and a sandwich, which was okay and nothing spectecular. The location is in an old building, pretty nice interior and furniture, unfortunately the A/C was on and it was freezing in the shop.So yeah, if you ask me: Does Futura live up to the hype about roasteries in Portland- i don't know. If you just want good coffee and decent food- then visit this location.“

Each cup is a visual and sensory delight, with intricate designs atop a harmonious blend of robust espresso and velvety milk. The ambiance and knowledgeable staff enhance the experience, making it a haven for coffee lovers. Topher truly excels in both the art and flavor of coffee, making each visit memorable.“

“Local roaster and coffee shop with multiple options for single-origin coffee. I had a cup of their daily drip offering, which was a Kenyan with pleasant acidity and fruity overtones. Nutty Bars, Star Crunch, and other classic snacks available in lieu of the standard pastries. ??“
