“My favorite Portland bakery. The croissants are fluffy, and crispy with perfectly balanced flavor. The bacon, ham, and cheese croissant is made even better by everything bagel seasoning. They have gorgeous confections for any tastes. My personal favorite is the matcha yuzu. It's decadent, but also light. The staff of this establishment is top notch. Kind, helpful, and they had mad skills. I highly recommend this neighborhood gem.“

“What a gem of a coffee shop!! We are so glad we tucked in for a cup of coffee. The coffee is delicious and the latte art is so cute. The desserts were the perfect sweet treat for a rainy Saturday afternoon. The shop carries so many darling items, many are perfect for cat lovers. We will definitely be back!!“

“I usually wait until they come to the farmers market out in Beaverton but we stopped by this location to pick up desserts and WOW! The mango/guava cream puff was amazing and so was the filling in the salted caramel eclair. We’ll definitely be back earlier in the day to get some things they were sold out of.“

“Just stopped in omw to the max. So glad I did because airport food can't even come close. Got a frittata that was filled with fresh greens and yummer potatoes. Also got a rhubarb turnover that was crispy and flaky and just everything a turnover should be. Then there was the cold brew, the first sip made my heart beat faster and sent my taste buds to coffee heaven. Everything was perfect, I wish the hours were extended so I could come more often.“

“Ken’s bakery was such a cute place! We ordered the Oregon croissant which was absolutely amazing. It had blueberries and blackberries and was toasty warm, it melts in your mouth! The morning bun was also delicious with a hint of orange and the coffee always also really good! The lady taking our order was very friendly. We will definitely be going back for seconds! Would highly recommend checking them out for a quick bite, but they also have seating inside if you want to stay and work or chat with a friend.“

“Enjoyed my stop at Jet Black very much. Warm and welcoming space with lots of seating and plants which made for a very cozy dining area. I love that their food is all vegan. I had a bagel with cream cheese (there were multiple cream cheese options) and a latte.“

“A wonderful selection of pasties! The menu changes from week to week—they post the menu for the weekend Friday night and Sat/Sun morning. You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu, it’s all delicious. If you are wanting something specifically you’ll want to get there when they open at 9 and be ready for a line. I got there about 10 minutes before and there were already people waiting. It’s worth the wait though and everything is amazing!Dietary restrictions: They have available vegan pastries.Parking: There’s a small parking lot that had spaces available when I was there.“

“The chopped sandwich is amazing! The large is huge and stuffed with chopped deliciousness. The sesame bread was amazing and fresh with a slightly crisp crust and tender inside. I don't know why all sandwiches are chopped--it's the best way to get a little bit of Everton one bite! We also got a few pastry items to bring home: Ciabatta with garlic ($4) 5/5: we re-heated this a bit in the toaster oven, and it was great! Nice crust and tender inside with whole cloves of garlic throughout. Raspberry Cruffin ($5) 4/5: nice, but could be a bit flakier. I like the ones at Twisted croissant better Cardamom bun ($5) 4/5: I didn't taste any cardamom, so I wonder if it was a cinnamon bun? I'll be back for the sandwiches and bread!“

“Petunias is the only cake we will drive 3 hours for and return back in a day. Their gluten free desserts - especially their celebration cake - are amazing, you literally wouldn’t know it doesn’t have gluten or dairy except that you feel amazing after you eat their delicacies. The Petunia’s team is incredible, they go above and beyond to take care of special orders, Lisa is so kind and made sure that my order for my bonus daughters bday cake was done in time for us to pick it up! I love you, Petunia's!Dietary restrictions: The best for gluten free desserts!“

“I am reluctant to rate the atmosphere as St. Barbra's does not accommodate seated patrons. However, I can say their staff make your experience incredibly welcoming, and all staff are friendly, kind, and helpful. Their food overall hits the spot. It's very delicious, satisfying, and budget friendly for college students and households on fixed incomes. A great homage to Filipino culture. #applause“

“The owner of this little gem is absolutely wonderful! We spoke with him for close to an hour when me, my partner, and a friend recently visited for the first time. And that's just icing on the cake on top of the delicious baked goods he makes. I wanted to get one of everything, it all looked so good! The items I did end up getting were delicious: breakfast sandwich on a yummy biscuit, chocolate chip cookie (this cookie was AMAZING), puff pastry filled with a yummy sweet something“

“My first visit, and I couldn’t decide on what to get. Everything on the menu looked amazing. So we got 6 cookies to go, and as I am slowly tasting them, oh my god. The best cookies I’ve ever had. I cannot recommend them enough. Everything is so well balanced and so nothing is too much, but perfect and delectable. Everyone needs to experience these cookies!“

“I had ordered online and the delivery driver couldn't find my address then they just gave up and never showed. I called Crumbl and they were so sweet, when I picked up the order (they made it again) the worker gave me a couple free cookie coupons for all my troubles. They are so delicious. Thank you so much!“

“Amazing pies and unique flavors! I tried the honey black sesame, passionfruit, chocolate honeycomb, and chocolate peanut butter pies. The only thing I was surprised by was that there weren't more fruit pies -- it seems to be mainly nut, seed, and candy pies. I was also impressed by the chai, although I do wish the spicy option was spicier. It was quite busy and loud inside when I went, which meant there weren't any tables inside, and most of the outdoor seating was taken. The outdoor seating aside from picnic tables was a bit precarious. I'd love to come back here again to see what other seasonal flavors they will offer!“

“Why are you never open anymore??? This was my favorite place to go wether stopping in for breakfast with a friend or having a romantic dinner with my hunny. So many things are being done right here; the food, the bakery, and the coffee are all equally fabulous. I love that it is a low-key place, but at the same time, it has a great atmosphere of a little French bistro ? also the staff has always been on point!“

“Every time I have come here the employees are very friendly and nice, knowledgeable about the items and quick service. Some of the best treats I've ever had. The tiramisu is to die for. The location itself is so beautiful, and I always feel welcome. The coffee is also incredible, with attention to great roasts and flavors to perk you up. I love this place and I would choose it over the competitors any way.“

“It is so girly I love it! Pink and bright and cheerful! Each pastry is a bit pricey but it’s fun to buy many with friends and try each one. The fluffy pancakes are so good too! They also keep making new pastries . I want to try them aallll. Lots of drinks on the menu too.“

“Lots of good things to say about this great place, but I'll focus on one. Quiche. Most places that serve quiche are essentially serving frittatas with a crust. Quiche is meant to have a custard texture with the ingredients layered on top of the egg, not blended throughout -- and all within a buttery pie crust. A good quiche is heaven, and so hard to find. Mehri's Cafe and Bakery does quiche right, and that's a rare treat.“

“The employees are always friendly and the vibe is chill with good music and, of course, motorcycles all around :) what really sets 2Stroke apart however is the coffee sold there. “Pretty good the Vietnamese coffee was kind of small and not as strong as I was hoping, and the doughnuts were all good, but nothing blew my mind. I did try the Vietnamese coffee doughnut a couple days prior and that was really good but unfortunately they didn't have it when I got there. Worth the visit .“

“Food prices are not correct on yelp, they are quite a bit more than what is listed here. Service was good, food took awhile - but was super fresh and super hot... yummmmm! Ambiance is a little sketchy and the parking in this little strip mall is a nightmare.“

“One of the best bakeries in Portland! Everything is phenomenal, especially the almond danishes (wish they had these all year round!!), megan's maple twist, and scone. DO NOT miss pie day (or croissant day if they ever do it again!) - always one of the highlights of the year. Wish they hadn't gotten rid of the seating “

“23rd St in Portland is a must see. Whether you live here or you are visiting. Artisserie Fine Bakery is just that "fine". Everything they create is art. This is a great treat. It is 23rd St so parking is street parking paid with parking kitty app except on Sundays. Sundays are free. This is a place to get a delicious pastry wonderfully made, they have seating outside. Also if you are looking for a great edible gift they have lots of other options, they also box up their creations so they make perfect gifts as well. Got to check them out!“

“I cannot stress enough how amazing Dream Cakes and Johannah are. I was originally recommended to Dream Cakes by my Father in Law after my original cake vendor (who was paid for by the venue) went out of business. With little notice, Johannah at Dream Cakes quickly got me in for a tasting and was not only able to make my wedding cake vision come to life, but was also able to make an absolutely stunning Groom's cake. Johannah directly communicated with the venue and my coordinator to ensure a seamless process. The cake was no only stunning, but also extremely delicious. I received numerous compliments about how good the cake was. I will be using Johannah and Dream Cakes whenever I need another cake. I cannot recommend them enough.“

“OK, if you do not order your cookies from Eva and her team, then you are just plain SILLY! Not only are the cookies MIND BLOWINGLY DELISH, the process to order mega easy, and every email interaction with Eva was fun and smiley! I gave her a brief of my vision for what I was thinking of via the Contact Us form on their website, got an immediate cheery and helpful response. I ordered with a week before my partner's 60th birthday party and the result was MOUTH MAGIC incorporating his fav KitKat candy. I had no idea Eva would create a custom label with his name for every cookie and individually wrap all 3 dozen cookies. They weighed a TON because they were full of KitKat, chocolate ganache, and love. Plus, every single person who tried them RAVED. I do not live near Eva's shop but you better believe I'd walk 100 miles to work with her and eat her unique and drool-worth cookies ANY TIME. Thank you again for your culinary talents that were a mega hit! I cannot wait for the next time I need extra special cookies!! <3“

“Always happy to see local bakeries, glad we have them!Basque cheesecake was well done and friendly folks at the counter.. thanks!the Korean cheese buns didn't quite work or I had higher expectations. the use of sweet cream cheese doesn't quite work with the type of bread and the garlic. id think most real cheeses would work better maybe blue, gouda or a mild cheddar“

“Busy spot, Nice service and quick turnaround although my gf ordered no bacon on her breakfast sandwich and received almost twice as much as I did lol. She's a good sport and I took the extra bacon home but it was odd because the guy who took our order was very aware of our request. you're not waiting for your food for a long time either which is nice compared to other cafe spots and I enjoyed my BACON full breakfast sandwich. Had a vanilla ice latte as well which was great.Oh ya cowboy cookie is a good choice. Nice and moist. “

“What a hidden gem! Fressen is the coziest spot for a quick and easy brunch on a drizzly Portland day, and the pretzel bun breakfast sandwiches and decadent cream-filled Berliner donuts will make you forget all about the gloomy weather! The prices are also very reasonable and there is a good amount of seating inside. Definitely get there early if you're trying to sample some of the more popular pastries or breads...they sell out quickly and the line is often out the door, especially on the weekends. Can't wait to go back soon!“

“Great little coffee shop lots of good drink choices but not overwhelming and plenty of pastries and actual viable food to order. After going to case study on Sandy and them refusing me service because they don't accept cash this was a nice change of pace where I was able to get service and pay for it with the currency of the land. The employees are very friendly and patient with the large group of older generation that are coming in and need a little time to figure out what they need. It was really nice to see them treating the elderly with respect.Parking: Not a lot of free parking most of it you will have to pay for and there's just not a lot of parking in this area to begin with. Get there early and you might get lucky otherwise bring an umbrella because you're going to have a walk and it's Portland so it might rain.“

“Best cupcakes in SE Portland. To the owners, thank you for such an awesome cake shop. One little request. Please make some non-vegan GF cupcakes. And only super fine oat flour if possible. I've found the only good wheat substitute in baking is oat flour. It's so soft and tender and aside from color is very similar to wheat. Rice bases always taste like mochi. Especially those GF donuts people make. Anyway, give it a try sometime. I think you could start a GF revolution. ❤️“
“A true neighborhood gem! If you dismiss the simple exterior and a lack of foot traffic, you are missing out because the content is out of this world. They are mostly known for their fortune cookies and now, adding ice-cream to their product line. But the hidden secret for those not in the know is their fantastic mooncakes. Just like their fortune cookies, their mooncakes are made to order - fresh on the day of pick-up. With a variety of flavor to choose from such as lotus seed or coconut, with or without eggs, their warm-to-the-touch, just-the-right-amount-of-sweetness mooncakes sure bring the sunshine to the gray rainy Portland day. The owners are always so personable, greeting with smiles and detailed descriptions of their products. Each order is treated with care and is sure to keep you coming back ringing that front bell.“

“I am a bit of a biscuit and gravy connoisseur and this is some of the best I've ever had! Possibly The best. The biscuits are huge, fluffy and tender yet still moist, and delicious! And both gravies are amazing, especially the sausage.I got the Reggie, and the fried chicken was flavorful and not dry at all. My partner got the chicken fried steak--it was a little tough but the flavors were wonderful. The grits are great too!We went on a Saturday morning at 11 and waited about 15 mins at the counter to order and then another 20 or so for food, which I thought was really reasonable for a weekend at a brunch place! It's a bit loud but comfortable and clean.Haven't tried the cocktails but the house made caramel latte was delicious.HOWEVER, I used the QR code at the table to order some extra gravy and a biscuit and we waited FORTY MINUTES for it to come!! Lame. Don't use the QR code I guess. If you like a lot of gravy with your sandwich just order an extra side at the counter because it doesn't come with enough.“

“So there's something about the laminated pastry dough that i don't love (kinda soft like it's been sitting in a bag for several days?), but it works well for stuffing and I LOVE their tofu stuffed croissants. Such a fantastic meal on the go.And the sandwiches! They are such high quality, great portion size, and so satisfying. 10/10 sandwiches. The only thing I ever missed after going veg was an Italian deli sandwich and this hits the spot for sure.I also love that they don't play typical coffee/sandwich shop music. It's always some cool avant garde noisy techno when I stop by. Keep letting that person pick the music lol.“
“A variety of sweet treats, many baked with what is fresh and in season like their fruit pies! OMG, they taste like summer! The cupcakes are divine! Cookies, cheese cake, caramel bars and large slices of triple layered cake - it's hard to choose! I say get a slice of cake to share and a cookie for the next day!Located in The French Quarter food cart pod in Multnomah Village, in the beautiful gray cart with flowers trailing from the window box, Num Num serves fresh baked goods that are equally beautiful and tasty!“

“A smol mom and pop Chinese bakery with plenty of free parking in the back (entrance is via an alleyway on the right side of the building) I tried the Red Bean Puffs, BBQ Pork Bun, and Custard Bun. The buns were light, fluffy, and absolutely delicious. The Pork Bun was a perfect blend of subtly sweet bread and savory pork and the custard bun was sweet but not overly. My favorite was the red bean puff because they were generous with the red bean filling and the outside was like a soft, crumbly cookie. Neither the filling nor the outside was very sweet at all which was a pleasant surprise. Will definitely be going back to try their egg tarts (they were sold out when I went on a Sunday afternoon) and their wide assortment of pastries and cakes.“

“Sweet, pun intended, little Saturday pop-up shop attached to the Brooklyn neighborhood’s new production bakery, Flour Market. They freshly bake and serve up delicious breads, pastry, cookies and delicious cold-brew coffee. As the world returns to normal I believe they’ll be open more often for walk-ups during the week but for now it’s easy to pre-order through their website, FB or IG accounts.
