“McQueen’s is your local pub with great food, drinks and service. So much fun in a local place. You instantly feel at home. The onion rings are next to none. I had the quarter pounder hamburger with Swiss cheese and grilled mushrooms. So good! The bartender Lisa made us feel like we were part of the neighborhood regulars.“

“Karaoke ? is BACK!!!!I went back in for a quick beer and to check the schedule - by far Saturday is best, as we are all rested.Friday is good too. Both Bartenders on the weekends make the Atmosphere fun and everyone is welcome to sing. Most regulars are pretty good, but if you're like me - a one and one - until much later - you will feel comfortable singing in this joint. Even if you're tone deaf, you will have fun and everyone appreciates the guts to get up there and own your favorite song.I had these Mozzarella Stuffed Jalapeno Poppers - get them with the Plum Sauce.Fantastic with the Plum Sauce - who'd had thought? You will want a double order with a quadruple order of Plum Sauce.Vegetarian options: Fried foods only - but those stuffed jalapeno poppers are worth stopping in for at Happy hour 3pm to 6pm and all day Sundays.Wheelchair accessibility: The back door on the side next to the door is a doorbell under the wooden plank siding.Look for it you will see it and they will come open the door. Or you can have someone go inside and open from inside out.“

“Incredibly kind staff, good prices and the food is unreal. Probably the best Vegan pizza I've ever had with amazing crust. Super cute space that is really inviting. Loved everything about my visit.Dietary restrictions: Easy, plentiful vegan options with really good vegan ricotta“

“I love this place thru & thru! If you haven't been, do yourself a favor. So chilled, with a poetic and tepid groovy vibe, this spot is hotter than lukewarm. All the puns not intended actually. It's just a well designed little place to enjoy attendant service, tiny or not so tiny dishes of luxury, and a balanced ambiance erring on the side of elegance. Come. You won't regret it.“

“Took a chance on this hole in the wall place and think I just found my favorite Ethiopian place in Portland. They give generous portions at affordable price and everything was delicious. My partner and I tried a bunch of vegetarian items. The lentil sambusas were so flavorfully simple and the lentil injera appetizer was super delicious. And all the sides in the veggie combo were delicious, even the collard greens, which other restaurants normally make flavorless. Will definitely be back!“

“They made up for their mistake. Mothers Day breakfast party of only 4, started out great, hostess, waitress were just great. Waitress took our order promptly. All is good so far. After 30 minutes, no food. After 40, no food. Our waitress forgot to put in our order. We continued waiting. 1 hour now, still no food. We asked again about our food to the manager. They kept saying, any minute now like if only a few minutes had gone by. Needless to say, we were very upset. Moms day breakfast ruined!!. Manager was under the impression that we had only been waiting just a few minutes . Miscommunication among staff. Not good. The only reason we stayed was because all other restaurants close by were already packed with people. Our food finally arrived and it was delicious, I wont lie. Excellent food. A few minutes later the chef came out to our table very, extremely apologetic and accepting their mistake on behalf of the restaurant and she made sure to make things right and really took care of us. This shows that this place cares about their reputation, their image, their customer satisfaction. After the whole ordeal, we left satisfied that staff made up for their mistake. We will still return to this restaurant next time we visit Portland. Food is great.“

“Atmosphere is hard to come by. It’s either earned after years of being the neighborhood watering hole or it’s created out of whole cloth. Hale Pele, being a tiki bar, does the latter, and boy do they do it well. When you walk in, you feel like you’ve stumbled into another world miles and miles away from Broadway. The drinks are killer, the vibe is cheeky fun, and it’s dark enough, loud enough, and colorful enough to lend a whole lot of intrigue to any night of the week.“

“I had the pleasure of trying out Gnarly's via Uber Eats when my husband and I were visiting Portland. The food was delicious! Absolutely one of the best burgers I've had. Period. I had the paddy's melt and OMGfry, and my husband has the big salad and fries. My husband and I didn't even get through finishing our burgers yet and agreed that we need to come back the next time we're visiting. Vegan or not, Gnarly's is a must try! If I lived in Portland, I definitely would be going here at least once a week because it's that good. Can't wait to drop by the Swan Dive next time and grab a shake as well :)“
“Went here for the first time on Tuesday. Great spot for beer in a charming old house! The staff was very nice and I could tell they take a lot of pride in the beautiful space they've created. And Erica's Soul Food cart on the back patio was Delicious!“
“Best place for great drinks and amazing bartenders. Check it out Sat or Sunday nights and hang with Geoffrey . The cold brew coffee White Russian is amazing!!“
“True speakeasy! Hidden below a store front, stairs take you down into a sleek, sophisticated and welcoming cocktail cave. Mocktails are FANTASTIC!! Well crafted, and not just "juice" minus the alcohol. Most mixers, and all the food is made in house. Owner and his mom are behind the menu. House made truffle chips are a must, perfect pairing with any beverage. Interested seating areas, creative use of space.“

“With so many locations with their own vibe, this was a pleasant departure. Some high tops and regular seating, but the whole place is a mash up of liquor store, bar and we'll appointed gift shop. Has a light and casual vibe that is great for a quick drop in. Cocktail selection is limited, but the options to select and pour from sale stock is exceptional.“

“Little neighborhood bar with truly excellent bar food. It was pretty quiet when we went in but drinks were good, staff was friendly, but otherwise that was about as much as I would say about it. Decent but not amazing patio, a sort of lounge seating area. Could be a decent place to grab some drinks.“
“We have been dining at Gilda’s for 6 months. Thank you to our friends Linda and Paul for introducing us to this wonderful restaurant. The food is authentic and delicious. It is a family owned restaurant and the pride of the naturally sourced ingredients is very evident. Everything is made in house. The service is exemplary! Go, you won’t be sorry!“

“The bar/restaurant is one of the best experiences Portland has to offer. The drinks are fun and tasty. The food menu might be limited but it is absolutely amazing. Every item on the menu is bold, real and will blow your mind. A true gem! The birria takes the crown!“

“Fuego Underground is indeed "Fire!" I've been to dozens of Speakeasy establishments in New York, Las Vegas, and even in Central America. Fuego Underground has easily become a top 5 favorite experience for me!It isn't secreted behind an unmarked door or hidden behind a business front, but it has an authentic feel of a Speakeasy from the 20s and 30s. The servers are dressed as flappers, and the interior of the Underground beneath De Fuego bar attached to the Monarch hotel in Clackamas is opulent yet tasteful and reminiscent of the era. There is live piano music at opening, and smooth jazz trios and featured artists later in the evening. The service is on point. Everyone embraces the spirit of the experience being created within the Fuego Underground. The cocktails are heavily weighted toward the whiskey and bourbon drinking crowd, yet all drinks are given the prohibition era spin in presentation. The entrees are predominantly various cuts of beef with some exceptions, and they are of equal quality to any high-end steak house in Portland. The sides are varied and better than most compared to, say, El Goucho or Ringside. I had a Gâteau au Chocolat for desert that was delicious! (even though I had to take it home and eat it 2 hours later for being so full!)Overall, it was an amazing experience! If you love a good Speakeasy, you HAVE to try Fuego Underground. If you just like great steaks and craft cocktails, this is a hidden gem with easy parking, but reservations are recommended. This place is popular and for very good reason.“
“Low key fun little spot. The food comes from the taco shop next door which is actually pretty convenient and good.I like the variety you get with the projectors vs the traditional axe throwing venue. Ninja stars and knives are not really worth the extra cost. They were fun for one time, but we definitely ended up uses the axes most of the night.“

“This place is in an alley off the most choice stretch of Division... It's got a pleasant cave-like ambiance with a hipster chandelier of feathers... the crowd was fun & diverse... the staff were kind... the best part, though, was the super creative wine list - that also offered some affordable options too! Didn't get to taste the food :/“

“Out of the dozen pho places I've tried in PDX, this one was a surprise for sure. It's hands down my favorite and it's such a small, unassuming spot. The salt and pepper squid is also the best I've ever had. I cannot recommend this place enough“

“We had a fantastic brunch at this adorable restaurant. They offer delicious gluten-free versions of favorites such as Eggs Benedict and Austrian pancakes. I also recommend the rose hip lemonade and can't wait to try their ginger beer. We sampled the gluten free onion rings, and we'll definitely return on future trips to Portland to sample more of their offerings.“

“Tomorrow's Verse is one of our favorite Portland establishments. The beer selection is top notch, the space is open and inviting, and the staff is always welcoming. They offer savory hand pies and permit outside food too--there is a wealth of excellent food options all along NE Fremont. Additionally, Tomorrow's Verse has a patio area--it became our living room during the height of the pandemic. If you're into live music, Tomorrow's Verse frequently hosts bands and streaming concerts. I cannot recommend Tomorrow's Verse enough.“

“The cocktails and food are definitely worth the journey, but it’s the atmosphere and attention to detail that make Bellwether shine. Has the feel of a French-inspired saloon at the turn of the last century,or something straight out of Paris itself.“

“Stopped by while bar was opening to kill some time. It's a really well designed bar, the BBQ out back smells amazing, but I was about to go out for dinner with friends, so I stuck to drinks. “Food was lovely, pasta had a perfect portion size if you’re just in the middle of being hungry and not. Service was good, just took a little long because it was a friday night. Atmosphere was not the best, there was a rowdy table behind my family that just put off out our whole vibe for the night and was very overwhelming for being outside around a lot of other people. (if you easily get overstimulated I suggest eating inside) Totally not the restraints fault, just an unlucky role of the dice“

“My boyfriend has been a regular here for forever and has brought me here a few times for karaoke. The food here is SO good! Super consistent, recently they added a pepper beef dish to their menu and I crave it on a regular basis it was so yummy. The servings are very large, my partner and I will get an entree with a side of chow mein and get an extra side of either pork fried rice or white rice and split it. Drinks are fairly priced and the bartenders are always very quick even when they're busy. The food has always come out very fast as well. Karaoke is always so fun here! The KJ is so sweet and she as well as another bartender sing occasionally and are absolutely beautiful singers. Everyone here is so kind and you can tell it's why the customers are always having a great time as well. Can't wait to go back again!“
