The featured review on Google is that Cafe Olli is “under-appreciated.” It was actually named one of the best new restaurants in the entire US by the New York Times in 2023- so I think appreciation has been given where it’s due. That being said, they do a really good job here and show a lot of love with their cuisine and in the community. I really enjoyed what they did with flavors and everything we ordered was crafted in an interesting way.

This is a really cute place to grab breakfast! I had the breakfast sandwich which is simple and very well executed. Matcha Latte was also very good and I appreciated it came unsweetened so I could add the amount of sugar I wanted. Service was really friendly and fast! So many comments on the service but it seems they have figured it out because everyone was served well and promptly the whole time I was here. Will be back!

Bought two pastries at the counter to go. Counter staff tacked on a mandatory 20% fee for employee health and wellness so that I didn't have to tip. I didn't plan on tipping anyone for placing a cookie and a croissant in bag. A service fee for placing two pastries in a bag? Ridiculous. The pastries tasted fine but I have no desire to return and try anything else.

pizza is great depending which you order, usually the more toppings the better, and the rotating menu is great. baked goods are also nice, i’m partial to portuguese tarts, more of those please. i actually enjoy salads here. love watching the wood fire oven.

If you're looking a place that won't judge you when they learn you scrape the cream out of oreos and only eat the cookies in a 16oz glass of milk, look no further. But pay no mind to that, instead focus on the food. Because (I know you shouldn't ever start a sentence with because), but, wow... How do you describe perfection? If you enjoy wine, start with a glass of red, that's reasonably priced. Add to that a shared plate of bread, with the best butter, let's just close our eyes and dream about the flaked salt for a second.. and then the pizza. The pizza is what can only be described as, the dream of a Care Bear. It's fluffy like a cloud, and also, filling... but you don't feel guilty for some reason when you finish the whole pie between two of you. There's really no way to eloquently describe a place this wonderful, I guess you'll just have to try it for yourself.

I’ve been here at least 10 times for brunch. Brunch is delicious and flavorful and fresh. I like the frittata for something light. Or the steak and eggs which is surprisingly large amount of meat. The wait for brunch table can be long on weekends and the coffee situation while waiting is rough bc after ordering a drip to sip on while waiting for table you still wait sometimes 15 mins for the coffee ugh. Pleasant interior nicely built out seatings, feels like 2010s Portland in a good way.

The food here is always incredible but what makes this special is the kind staff. The vibe is very chill and cute. Been here more times than I can count and have never had anything but incredible thoughtful food and kind service. Definitely in my top three pizza places but it's so much more than just good za. Also the pastry and bread program is one of the best in Portland. People are mad they charge a VERY reasonable gratuity which they are very upfront and transparent about. If you believe in staff healthcare and PTO then you get it. Love this place!

the only good thing about this place is that it’s aesthetic and instagrammable. we got a cappuccino (ordered extra hot), hot oat milk chai, and hot matcha latte. all drinks tasted bad and came cold. the pizza is overhyped and flavorless also! and we were 3 people sitting there for maybe not even an hour before one of the employees came up to us and asked us to leave within 5 minutes because they have a reservation. there was no heads up or mention of this before and they basically rudely kicked us out. they said “not to rush you but we need you to give up this table in 5 minutes for a reservation” sounds like bad planning on their part! there were also other groups of 4+ in the restaurant that were there at least as long as we were and they didn’t say anything to anyone other than us. left a bad taste in my mouth (worse than the chai!) definitely will not be coming back!

I don't know what's the best restaurant in the city but this has to be in the top five. We've been there about ten times or so and every visit we walk away tasting something new from the menu. It's employee owned, the food is made in front of you if you're sitting at the bar and it's a pleasant sight to see. We'll certainly be back.
