“Just had one of the best experiences of my life at Lilia. Do yourself a favor and do NOT miss the tasting menu, which rotates weekly. It was an incredible value, and more importantly there was not one single disappointing dish in the 8-course lineup. Some stand outs were the amberjack crudo in aguachile: the fish was incredible and cut so pretty, and the aguachile was just the brightest and tastiest i’ve ever had. The quesadilla with huitlacoche, sprouting broccoli and marinated radish: never having tried huitlacoche I was shocked at how decadent and rich it tasted… every flavor in the dish worked like magic with the others. The pork collar: as soon as I touched a piece of the pork collar confit it fell apart under my fork, cooked to perfection. Like the carnitas of your dreams. And the chocolate & salted hazelnut tart with kumquats: probably the most interesting combinations of flavors and textures in any dessert I’ve tried… the kind of experience that’s just delightful every time you take another bite. Every dish was just a surprising explosion of flavors and beauty. This is exciting food. Absolutely no letdowns with the service (every staff member was enthusiastic and knowledgeable) and the ambience as well, but the food is truly mind-blowing.Vegetarian options: Every ingredient is treated like the star in these dishes, which means the vegetarian dishes were a burst of flavor, spice and texture. I had the roasted fennel with fennel harissa and the white asparagus with salsa pipián, pickled rhubarb and morel mushrooms and both were just excellent.”
“We were passing through Portland on a ~7 hour road trip with a pup and needed an "easy" bite to eat in the truck. This was not it - we tore into our burritos, tacos, and empanadas like crazy people with seitan flying everywhere. Flavors were amazing, loved the homemade taco shells, and the fried burrito was a fun surprise. Our hometown doesn't have many quality Mexican food available to us, so this was a treat! I wish we could've enjoyed the atmosphere and enjoyed the food we ordered instead of inhaling everything.”
“Innovative French cuisine in the style of Le Pigeon.Le Pigeon presents adventurous French-inspired cuisine, characterized by its unique creativity and originality. Enjoy a diverse selection of wines in the intimate setting of its East Burnside Street location in Portland.Their Chef's Tasting Menu promises a complete journey with nine courses, starting from amuse-bouche to petits fours. The dishes are visually appealing, almost like paintings on plates!I was impressed by the friendly and excellent full service, as well as the quality and flavors of the dishes.”
“Han Oak comes with high praise and I had really high expectations about dinner.Banchan - the OTA beancurd dish was great, simply because the beancurd was just outstanding. Tastes like a creamy soy burrata - just makes me wanna go to OTA tomorrow! Appreciate that they did a simple chilli-vinegar dressing on it. Just let the star ingredient shine! The kimchi was a little underwhelming. Not much balance of heat, salt and acid… just alot of acid. I wonder if it would fare better with longer fermentation. The corned beef soo yuk is awesome - I can see the chef’s brilliance here. Great interpretation of a traditional dish. The thinly sliced fatty beef goes great with sliced veg. Great texture and flavour. The yuzu packs a punch and makes the corned beef work so well here… while not overwhelming the broth, which is just awesome - save it so you can have it with the rice later. This dish is 5star!Perhaps the gimbap is just not a dish that allows the chef to show his/her finesse and skill. Beef and pork were cooked and seasoned nicely tho the rest of the ingredients basically needed no cooking - a basic pickle, saute or served fresh.Personally, I feel a gimbap tastes way better in a roll cos the mouthfeel of a well packed roll - when you bite into the various flavours and the texture/ crunch just bursts in your mouth - is simply lost when deconstructed.Bingsu - it’s pretty standard fare tho here’s a suggestion… this would be way better if the pineapple and mango toppings were on top - as they usually are. Not hidden at the bottom.I thk it was gojucharu sprinkled on top - that does nothing for bingsu on its own. Well… maybe if there was more condensed milk, that could work. But chilli powder on ice? Hmm.Tho when you dig down to the fruity flavours at the bottom, then you can tell why the combi works. A clever twist on mango with spice but lost in the order of presentation.Tip - dig in quickly without toppling the bingu mountain! Small tweak that would hugely improve the experience.Maybe the chef was trying to turn the bingsu on its head creatively.. but I thk the usual way fares better.Good service with chirpy staff. May come back when they have a different menu and would recommend you to consider that.”
“This is my favorite restraunt in the city. I've been twice, and my only regret the first time was not odering more food. I went for Valentines Day this year, and the steak was so good I laughed when I first tasted it. It truly is unbelievable the kinds of flavors they coax out of the food. Everything here is quality. The service, the drink selection, the cocktails, the atmosphere, and of course the steak. I will be back.”

“My partner and I ate here last night based on a recommendation from a trustworthy source in our hometown of Bend. What an incredible experience! The staff was exceptional, and worked flawlessly as a team to make sure we always had what we needed, and to share their favorite dishes. The food was fantastic! Small yet significant adjustments to make some traditional Basque/Spanish dishes extra special. We'll recommend Urdaneta to all our friends and will certainly return on another trip to Portland.”
“I enjoyed the two egg and kielbasa combo, with a Mexican hot chocolate. It was all delicious, and they were willing to let me substitute breads with a fruit salad, which I greatly appreciated! It’s a cozy place, and can get a bit loud when crowded, but otherwise, a lovely place for a late morning breakfast.”
“First time here and all I can say is the food was great and the service was awesome. Parking is okay but other than that everyone was great. I will come back again.”

“This place is absolutely amazing! And I love the format - the waitstaff is between you and the kitchen if you are sitting at the bar. So nobody is coming up behind you, it is very comfortable, you can watch the kitchen and talk to waitstaff at the same time. Have been here several times now, and this is definitely our preferred seating for 2-3 people!Everything is good here, innovative, and you will likely have not had anything similar. Try the salmon, my favorite, but try a few things!Tip: If you are not tolerant of spicy foods, you may not get the full benefit here, so review the menu - many things have some spice to them that you might not expect, so call ahead and find out if there are things on the menu that night for you.”

“I haven't had a ton of African food besides Ethiopian but it was very tasty, the flavors remind me a bit of Greek food. I have tried the Chicken Yassa (chicken & yellow rice), Thie Boulette (beef meatballs), and Thiebou Yapp (lamb & jollof rice). The fatayas are good too, like empanadas. All were tasty, my favorite probably being the Thie Boulette: tender meatballs in a savory tomato/oniony stew and served w/ rice. My only complaints would be that the meat to rice ratio is a bit rice heavy, but their rice is very savory. Also, I wish there was a few more fresh veggies than just the bit of sautéed onion and tomato slices for garnish.”
“One of favorite breweries. A hidden jewel of the Portland beer scene. High quality beer in a wide variety of traditional styles and some innovations. Chill and friendly vibe. Dog friendly. Worth going off the beaten path to have a pint or two.”

“Come here for the happy hour and stay for all the foods on the menu. Smoked mussel dish was to die for, Oysters are naturally delicious but the sauces here are amazing especially that green fish sauce, I’d bottle that and sell that immediately! Server was amazing and wish I knew their name so I can shout them out. I didn’t order it but $90 for a tasting per person is just too inexpensive for that quality and amazingly tasty dishes. Just want another shout out for the mussel dish on there March 18th menu. Dish will always be in my mind.”
“Have to order everything at once. Kind of felt rushed by our waiter even though we were trying to enjoy some bubbles and catch up as we looked at our menus. Tasted practically everything on the menu. Would be nice if we could have just ordered a dish while we browsed the menu rather than being hounded to order.”
“The basil ice cream dessert was to die for! As was everything else we ate. Inventive and exciting can only begin to describe our experience here. From all the beautiful natural lighting, to a bathroom amusingly decorated with bottles, to a wine list that made me giggle, this place earned a permanent spot on my must eat list for all my visiting friends.”
“Food looks great and are larger portions, loved the mashed potatoes and the jalapeno slices, but over all everything else was VERY salty. All the "chicken" was overly salty. Mac n Cheese also very salty. Made it hard to eat everything.Had them in the past and this has not been an issue. Not sure if it's a new recipe but the salt amounts needs to be adjusted.”
“The best pizza I’ve had, and I eat pizza a lot. We had the pepperoni and the garlic arugula pizza and my friend and I kept just saying how good it was. It’s the kind of pizza you feel like you should keep talking about but you come up short everytime you try.”
“This is my favorite restraunt in the city. I've been twice, and my only regret the first time was not odering more food. “This place is absolutely top notch ?? the salted, malted, chocolate chip cookie dough is the best ice cream flavor that's ever existed. The cinnamon snickerdoodle is a close second. This place just doesn't miss ?”
“Rare place that...has fantastic Mediterranean food and is a super-fun, energetic-night-clubby atmosphere. Everything is done well, and the cocktails and wine are amazing.”

Paladin Pie
“My partner and I are so impressed by this place. It’s our favorite little gem in the neighborhood. I hope they never leave. Every time we bring this pizza to a gathering people go nuts, then I get an angry text about two weeks later that says something to the effect of “You’ve ruined my waist line, I can’t stop ordering from them”. It’s happened twice ?. Really, this place is fantastic. The food is top notch and the owner is someone who you can’t help but like and want to see succeed. Paladin pie you’ve made my pizza dreams come true.”
“The atmosphere of this place was SO inviting and seemed to encourage conversation with your neighboring tables. The service was friendly and informative. And, most importantly, our breakfast was delicious. We plan to go back over and over again!”

“Went for cocktails, which were lovely and not crazy expensive. Food, including oysters and a small plate of cheese ended up costing over 70 per couple averaging three drinks for two. Great environment. Nice staff. Just seemed pretty pricey for food. But, who am I kidding? I never go out anymore!”
“I mean wow, so good. So incredibly good! I didn't realize that Plumb is the kitchen located inside of the bar (Deadshot). It was my first time experiencing something like this (maybe I need to get out more) and it was incredible. The food is made to order so patience is key but luckily theres an amazing bar with handcrafted cocktails to enjoy while you wait. We arrived right at 4pm on Saturday evening and were promptly greeted and seated. We opted for a seat right at the bar. I ordered a red wine and my husband ordered a Deadshot. Then we placed our food order. We ordered the cesar salad, grilled cabbage, burger and steak frites and everything was so incredibly good. Fresh, decadent, perfectly cooked and ever so tasty. Of the items we tried, the cabbage dish was our favorite. I've never had cabbage with bechamel, apples and hazelnuts. It was simply divine! Highly recommend checking this place out!”
“A unique touch on Mexican which tasted fantastic. First time eating out dinner in Portland and no regrets. The service was amazing and the waiters knew the menu very well. Definitely a place worthy of booking! We ordered the full menu and every dish was very well plated. The chicken and the birria were the highlights for me but worthy of trying the entire menu!”
“Great hazy IPAs, can not go wrong. Sour beers on sweet side, hit and miss for me . Friendly service, free tasters before picking beer. Off street parking can be an issue. They offer taster trays and prefer you use an app to order, unless you sit at the bar. Food looked pretty good . Beer to go and board games are offered.”
“Delicious food but they automatically tip themselves 20%. Just keep in mind when ordering that everything is actually 20% more expensive than what is stated on the menu.”
“I wanted to try a new place for date night and picked a good one. The food was excellent, the service was warm. I made a reservation for the purple room which has about 4 small tables. There is another room that has more tables and a bar. The restaurant is on the second floor of a converted house. I don't think they have an elevator, so you're aware. We got mostly what the waiter recommended. The chicken liver mousse tart was savory and delicate, crust being flaky and good contrast to the vinaigretted frissee. The grilled cauliflower still had crunch and umami. I picked the duck confit which had delicious crispy crust and a slight sweet, salty sauce. My husband had the pork coppa which is a braised pork shoulder over a sauce with delicious huge beans. I thought all the food was outstanding, the presentation was great and flavors well balanced. Ended the night with an almond flour orange cake, not too sweet. I might have skipped that one because the gelee was a little tart and cake a denser than expected. The waiter was great at helping us navigate the menu. I liked all the choices available and can't wait to try more of them. I don't think there is a wrong choice here. Their menu options rotate.”

“Once again Yalla has hit the mark. The food is delicious from the hummus and fresh pita bread to the corn bread to the fried chicken (also had the brussel sprouts, beef short ribs and pastrami). The service is stellar and the atmosphere is upbeat but not loud, intimate but not crowded. I would recommend Yalla without question.”
“Great energy in this place every time, and I always have at least one dish that is one of the best versions of _____ I've ever had. Last night, it was the Apple Salad which was one of the best salads I've literally ever had.”
“Delicious from start to finish and wonderful, welcoming service. Dungeness crab miso, chawanmushi, and scallops to start followed by amazingly flavorful nigiri and rolls.”
“Truly excellent! We loved every dish, our server recommended a really good cocktail, and it was very cozy and cute inside. Just left and already looking forward to going back again!”
“Fabulous drink selection. I was struggling because I wanted one of everything, and our server suggested letting the bartender create something based on the flavors I was looking for. The result was an incredibly delicious passion fruit mezcal drink that rocked my world. They infuse some of their spirits too. One was vodka sesame, another with cardamom - super cool.Impressive tequila and mezcal selection, and still had room at the bar for a great bourbon selection too!The music was also great!Parking: Free depending upon time of dayKid-friendliness: Leave ‘em at homeWheelchair accessibility: Roll on in”
“Having lived for a decade in Lebanon, I'm very picky when it comes to Lebanese food. I would rather not eat it than pay for mediocre dishes. If you're the same, look no further than Al Hawr. It is, by far, the best Lebanese restaurant in Portland and could compete with the best ones back home. The staff is friendly and attentive, the owner will recognize you if you come back after one visit, and the food is out of this world. I try to take photos every time I go and end up forgetting because I just want to dig in. I was invited to look at the kitchen at the end of one dinner and it was spotless. The cheese rolls are crispy and addictive, the kibbeh is refined and tender, the meats are perfectly seasoned and cooked, the hummus is creamy, the baba ghannouj is flavorful and topped with vibrant pomegranate seeds, I could go on and on. The portions are generous and I love taking home leftovers to enjoy the next day. Parking has been super easy every time I've been. If you're looking for Lebanese food today, don't think twice and go there.”
“I'm not generally one to write reviews of restaurants unless they hit a high bar. Canard hit that bar and then some. I went with my family for my birthday dinner and every dish was an absolute standout. Additionally, the service was outstanding, cocktails amazing (the digestifs on the menu was a great touch as well ) and a really inviting setting that lets you know you're in a quality restaurant but doesn't feel stuffy. Don't sleep on the steamed burgers too! Will absolutely be returning!”
“Stunning and delicious modern twist on Korean flavors. Portions were enough for everyone to be satisfied without being overfull. Set menu priced for a splurge-y dinner. Cocktails were unique and fun. Soju had the cute little auto-pouring frog. Cool to see the meats being aged in the back fridges (during the walk to the back restrooms).”
“The food was amazing! Southern comfort food done right and even had lovely drinks for brunch. It is super busy, so I'd suggest reservations as well as sitting on the patio(which is covered and heated) if possible. Inside is pretty standard space for bBurnside. You can move around a bit, some tables are closer to others than the rest and easily sat my group of six comfortably, but it is very loud. I'm told they also do dinner, I went for brunch.”

“… one of the few sushi restaurants that has a wider selection of fish. Not as extensive as some but better than most in the PDX. Price v value is very good as well. Nigiri ang rolls were very good and well prepared. The hand rolls were mediocre at best. The wait staff was not very accommodating even when not busy. And they did not check on us throughout the meal… I literally had to go to them to order drinks and additional nigiri and rolls. The overall experience was closer to three stars, were it not for the preparation of the nigiri and rolls. The service was definitely sub-par.”
24 Hour Restaurants
“I love this place. It's really low key, the food is always great. It's a good atmosphere, video poker until really late! They're open 24 hours which is really nice, breakfast all day :-) pretty low key :-)”
“I ordered through the Subway app and picked up in store. I was greeted with a hello right as I entered! I turned out they were out of the footlong churros, but the man who helped me had no problem issuing a refund for it.These were probably the most picturesque sandwiches I've ever gotten from Subway! We will absolutely order from here again!”
“Both Tik Toks hold a special place in my heart for different reason! This location cranks out food super quick any time you order! Love the staff all around!!Cassi was one of the best servers I've ever had! Keep it up!Wheelchair accessibility: Yes”
“I got a chicken asado burrito with sour cream. I ordered it to go and it only took a few minutes to make. It was really good! It’s nice to have a late night food option other than Taco Bell and this burrito was actually good and tasted like real food.”
“I wanted to try one of the new valentines Dutch Luv drinks, and the broista told me he wasn't a huge fan so he made me it, let me try it and then if I didn't like it I could switch to another drink. I did in fact not like it... had great potential but was a let down, but the employee was so kind and made me my usual rebel. Props to them. Great service, always a great atmosphere. Would highly recommend.”
“I only go through the drive through, but I have never had any issues with service. Food craftsmanship can improve a bit, buy it's fast food they are doing their best.”
“Disheartening to look outside and watch two folks smoking on their Crack pipe. Right out the window where I was sitting next to.But the manager took care of the situation quickly. He gets a 10!! Thank you sir.”
“They made my online order perfect, I didnt want to have to worry about breakfast or lunch due to a new course im having to take, and I'm really happy to have exactly what I need for that. Thanks guys ❤️”
“Clean restrooms, easy parking and great service. Jay gives fantastic customer care! There was a tired and stressed TRIMET bus driver, who Jay made smile and turned around her day through a promotion he told her about, which was new to the driver. Most fast food is heartless, but Jay makes food feel like home for those of us always on the road for work.”
“Cinnamon fresh toast is so good! And the pies are great to go! Good coffee and teaLove this place. It usually isn't busy. Pretty quiet. Great for breakfast late at ”
“I love Denny's. They even had a new strawberry French toast thing that I've never tried before that was absolutely amazing!! Normally I just get Cinnamon roll pancake meal, I recommend the French toast, if you haven't tried it!! They are HUGE portions. I was definitely surprised to see how big they were. I thought they were going to be tiny little portions. Dennys is really cleaning up their act too. This isn't the best area, due to the homeless/addicts but they have really gotten a hold on the issue recently. Very impressed with the African American lady that served us too. She was working ALONE for most of our time there & handled it very well & she accommodated us very well. 10/10 on service.Parking: Lots of parking usuallyKid-friendliness: Kid friendly yes”
“I'm having the most incredible meal for $10. So many toppings, delicious tortilla, shredded, not crumble beef and added peppers and onions for flavor as a complete bonus to the menu description which for Portland, come on it's rare to add anything more. I'm so happy hahaWith the Mexican salsa and shredded lettuce I feel like I have an entire side salad, props for my health ??So much food I couldn't finish it in one go.”
“The cuisine was succulent and fresh. The executive chef personally prepared my entree and his presentation was a masterful work of art. He had obviously trained at the finest culinary institutions in Europe. What caught me by surprise was the more than affordable price at this exquisite 5 michelin star establishment.”
“Our awesome tatted barista was the best part of going to Starbucks. She was fantastic. I don't understand how the supposed pinnacle of customizable coffee has ONE sugar free option. Dutch Bros will always be the clear winner.Dietary restrictions: If you're keto or diabetic, stick with Dutch Bros. Starbucks isn't it.”
“Excellent service provided by Katrina. In fact this was by far and away the best service I've received at any fast food establishment since before the pandemic. Great job managing this location and for hiring high performing employees like Katrina that strive to meet and exceed customer expectations. A+++”
“I was SO excited to visit this place with my best friend who lives out of town. We finally made it there and it is even better than I imagined! It is whimsical and colorful and a pure delight to children and inner children alike! Delicious coffee and snacks and super chill staff (and great pricing to boot!) The scavenger hunt is such a fun idea and such a smart way to bring well-deserved attention to Mike's spectacular artwork! The quality and quantity of his art is incredibly impressive and a true labor of love. We even got to chat with the artist and he was so humble, so sweet and so friendly! Cannot recommend this place highly enough!”

“Food was excellent, went with 3 others so had plenty of different dishes. Service felt a bit rushed, food plates were picked up while we were still taking last bites off the plates. Server recommended we order one more main which we did, and it was very good but too much for our party. Tables are close together and it was quite loud even at 5:45 pm. Still, food was excellent with complex flavors and beautifully presented. Love the concept of paying staff living wages and not tipping.”
“This neighborhood gem is always a pleasure to visit. The food was well prepared and delicious! There are plenty of options for vegetarians as well as omnivores. The portions are very generous. We love the ambiance and wonderful art. The servers are attentive, friendly and efficient. This is a favorite place to take friends and out of town guests.”
Takeout Restaurants
“Amazing food and drink. The friendly staff and vegan dishes were above and beyond, our waiter gave us some fantastic recommendations. We will certainly be returning. 10/10”
“I had such a lovely Chicken Tagine at the Kasbah Moroccan Cafe today. The owner/chef was personable and the restaurant was clean with a nice atmosphere. The mint tea was wonderful, too, and I loved the whimsical tea-cozy felt. I'll definitely come back next time I'm visiting Portland!”
“I saw the raving reviews so wanted to check this place out. The bahn mi is good bulgogi has good flavor. The meat is pretty chewy though, and I would say the combo definitely is not worth the extra 5 bucks. I'd stick to the sandwich. The service was pretty quick and the lady was very nice. It's a small hole in the wall location. I would however avoid this area after about 5/6pm. This area is home to many people whom reside outside lol. As someone who has been to almost every bahn mi place in Portland I will say comparing to best baguette, bahn mi fresh, and a few other bahn mi places i think killer bahn mi is the best! But it is quite spendy for a bahn mi. You pay for it in the amount of meat they give you but still. If you like this kind of bahn mi I'd recommend also checking out an xuyen bakery. It's this little bakery on like 51st and foster but they have some of the biggest bahn mis I've ever had for 1/2 the price.”
“unique flavors, super friendly staff and a good place to go if you have food allergies- they take extra care to scoop out of a new pint in the back for no contamination!”
“Great tasting coffee served from a cute kiosk by friendly people. Perfect! I had the tiramisu coffee, which wasn't overly sweet and had great flavor with a delicious cream and cinnamon top.”

“This place is so good!!! We got the chicken burrito and steak burrito. They were big enough to split between the 3 of us. The taste of them both were top notch. Seriously excellent taste. Fresh handmade tortillas??? Yo, you’re trippin if you think this place is mid. Will definitely be coming back to try the habanero sauce. Tried the red and green and was blown away with the flavor for both. Highly recommend!!!”
“Literally PERFECT. One weekend I had it for dinner three days in a row and still wanted it again on the fourth day.Sometimes if we aren’t hungry we’ll just come in for drinks to go! So much wonderful flavor and so refreshing. Love everything about Norah!!Dietary restrictions: All vegan!!”
“The pizza here is hands-down the best pizza I have ever had and has set a new bar. My girlfriend and I were on vacation in the Portland area for a week and this pizza was so good that we ordered a 2nd time and had it delivered to our airport hotel room on the way out of town. We also ordered the buffalo wings and kale salad which were also very delicious. There were many vegan restaurants to visit in Portland and I'm very glad I got to try Boxcar since it was the best restaurant I tried while visiting.”
“If you haven’t stopped by this quaint NE Neighborhood wine bar it’s time that you get to it, the customer service, lite fare and drinks are on another level, also the vibe here is just right!”
“The food was excellent :)It just became our favorite place on campus!+) My husband had Tomyum salmon, and I had Aburi salmon donKid-friendliness: They didn't have a highchair”
“First time visiting and it was great! The service was bomb and the food was bomb. I had the lasagna and my partner had the gumbo it was all delicious and filling, i got the peach cobbler to go as well.”
“Highly recommend this place! Burger was AMAZING & I try MANY different PDX burgers! Curly fries were spot on! And then topped off with malted shakes... yum! We will def be back... often! Oh, the people we really friendly and helpful too, but food was so good I'd go back even if there were jerks... haha”
“Been coming here since they were a food cart and it remains an absolute favorite. I always know when too many weeks have passed between visits, because I start getting irrationally cranky. The Oy Gevalt! is the best meal in town. I can't describe the perfection of the latke/smoked salmon/egg/dill sauce. You can't go wrong with any of the other options either.”
“Rare place that...has fantastic Mediterranean food and is a super-fun, energetic-night-clubby atmosphere. Everything is done well, and the cocktails and wine are amazing.”

Al Hawr
“One of favorite breweries. A hidden jewel of the Portland beer scene. High quality beer in a wide variety of traditional styles and some innovations. Chill and friendly vibe. Dog friendly. Worth going off the beaten path to have a pint or two.”
Drive-Thru Restaurants
“One of Portland’s absolute best breakfast restaurants. Everything on the menu is delicious, but the French toast is something everyone should try once.Vegetarian options: Multiple veggie options that are clearly labeled. Vegetarian sandwich on the lunch menu is great.”
“Absolutely the best coffee shop around! Their specialty drinks and Lotus Energy drinks are so tasty! I also really enjoy the breakfast bagel sandwiches! I go as often as I can!The staff is amazing and always so very kind! You couldn't ask for a nicer group of people!100% recommend stopping by!”
“I got the Quesabirria tacos and consommé, it was amazing!! So much flavor loaded into each taco, perfectly cooked. Highly highly recommend if you’re looking for birria!!”
“Super yummy drinks with lots of dairy free options. Staff are always friendly. If the dining room is open it’s a cozy place to hang out, and nice to have the drive thru option as well. A gem in the neighborhood!Dietary restrictions: Vegan options for boba drinks”
“I tried the taco plate and got half chicken half steak. They were good but I wasn't impressed with them especially from what the reviews raved about. However I did find the steak to be more flavorful than the chicken. The pineapple and hibiscus drinks were good. Service was pick-up and clean-up for yourself.... had I known that I would not have given a tip.”
“I was staying close by and ended up coming here two mornings as I really enjoyed the Mexican Mocha. The breakfast croissant was good too, and the server was friendly.”
“This is a great spot - good coffee, really nice staff. Whole place is clean and relaxed.Except - for some reason whoever is in charge of the music LOVES middle school dance hits. I’m at a coffee shop trying to read, I don’t want to listen to sandstorm. Eiffel 65 just doesn’t hit the same when im trying to study.”
“Great service Best kept secretDietary restrictions: Pretty much open to making something to please youParking: Drive thruKid-friendliness: YesWheelchair accessibility: Yes open space”
“I love this place! It’s fast and convenient. You pay the same amount you would at a Starbucks/ popular chain but get wayy better quality and inventive foods/ drinks. Plus you’re supporting local! The owner is also very sweet. 100% recommend.”
“Finally stopped in here and I was not disappointed! They have a plant based protein shake that they added peanut butter and banana to and it was so good ? really friendly barista too. I’m glad they open so early in the morning because I have a feeling this will be my new coffee stop on my way to work!”
“They have a drive-through. It's pretty good and big portions. Took the kids there, and they were very happy. Outdoor seating had no heaters, but it was fast and delicious. I like the mixed pork/beef dog. My nefew is newly vegetarian and he was really happy with the chili dog.”
“I eat here frequently and always enjoy all of the tasty tacos, big asada burritos and sopes. The cabeza and el pastor are particularly good. Nice selection of excellent salsas too. Friendly and fast service. Recommend!”
“This is a Papa Murphy's take and bake pizza store. In case you have never experienced a Papa Murphy's before, I will explain. There is no inside dining, the reason is that Papa Murphy's sells uncooked pizza. Some very good uncooked pizzas. My favorite is the chicken garlic pizza.”
“Denise and Elizabeth have amazing customer care. They were dealing with a processing server error (that had been occurring all day) and they explained exactly what was happening and handled us and the line exceptionally. For something that was completely out of their control, in a busy airport location, they handled themselves great!”
“The balls they have, opening up a pizza joint, where you can't eat at and have to come and get it and then take it home or some place that has an oven, then cook it. I don't work there, but I sure did feel like i did since i did more than half the work. Pizza, alright, but the audacity is aggressively awesome.”

ZAAP
“Was working late and picked up a togo order Pad Se Ew with tofu. The staff was great and called me when my order was ready for pickup. Food was delicious. The restaurant looked really cute for the short time of was there. I will be coming back to try more.”
“Service is always quick and kind. The food is excellent, fresh, unique, and caters to several different dietary restrictions. The location is convenient for workers at or near Montgomery Park, and the music is calming and chill. What an awesome spot!”

Yalla
“Once again Yalla has hit the mark. The food is delicious from the hummus and fresh pita bread to the corn bread to the fried chicken (also had the brussel sprouts, beef short ribs and pastrami). The service is stellar and the atmosphere is upbeat but not loud, intimate but not crowded. I would recommend Yalla without question.”
Fine Dining
“We got the set menu. Everything was delicious, really inventive plates and it was definitely enough to share for the most part. The only issue was the main was 4 scallops in a sauce, it was good, but would have liked to have a few more to fill up on. Great service and ambience.”
“Hands down the best dinner experience I had on my trip to Portland - and I went to Han Oak be Laangbaan so really the bar was high! Intimate but approachable setting, great service, and quality fish. Our chef was thoughtful and informative without being too overbearing, and we were able to have a nice family meal while learning about the ingredients and engaging with the experience. Would recommend and will be back! Not cheap but worth the price point.”
“This place is always 100 percent spot on. The service, food and staff are top notch. If you have ever seen the show “The best thing I ever ate”, this restaurants Cesar salad is 100%. The best one I have ever eaten. If you want a perfect dining experience, I strongly suggest the rack of lamb(medium rare)and Cesar salad. Perfection.”
“Valet parking crew was outstanding. Nice to have a coat check. Seated imediatley when on time for reservation. Staff was above friendly. Food to die for, but pay before ya go.”
“There’s something really special about a place where you can sit, enjoy a meal, and sense that everyone from back of the house all the way to the front of house, has chosen to be there. Passion and intention seeps from this restaurant. What more can you ask for?Portland is lucky. Decent Italian food, outside the home, is hard to find in our city.My advice to anyone reading this review:Just go. Take an evening and just go. Try the olives and have a glass of grappa.Thank you and see you soon.”
“Taiwanese food has a high-end feel. The ordinary shellfish has the original taste of seafood but is not fishy, juicy and not salty. I really like it!Kid-friendliness: Hear the laughter of hilarious children!”
“A lovely restaurant offering delicious dishes and captivating storytelling + explanation. I appreciate how this ethnic-based establishment embodies cultural depth through its soulful cuisine. I was very ignorant about Mexican cuisine and feel like I learned so much through this dinner. Oh their desserts were incredibly tasty with full of different textures and flavors.Despite minor hiccups, the majority of their services were commendable. Upon booking the chef's counter, I anticipated a typical counter dining experience, but it was more like tables closer to the kitchen with a view, which I liked it more than what I imagined as a counter seating.”
“Found this food cart by accident. Had fried chicken wings that were crispy and flavorful! Best greens and green beans ever! I don't usually like potato salads made by others but their's is sooo good! It has just a little kick and it is not too saucy. Love that it is a small local busineFood was so good came back the next night. They do ribs and beans on Saturdays. Beans like I never had! Ribs are delicious! Definitely try them!!!!!!”
“This is the new go-to lunch and dinner spot for all Portland adventurers.Amazing meal! You can taste the high quality of the ingredients and the love put into the food. The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating, and the atmosphere is perfect for anything from first dates, to family dinners, to business lunches. I cannot wait to come back. Perfect 10’s!P.S best wine selection in Portland!”
“Excellent, excellent service and lovely wine pairing with good food in a quaint and intimate atmosphere. The food was delicious but didn't leave a lasting impression. Was it bad food no not at all, but was anything special about the food...not really. It was all a little bland all in all. I would come back, but would I ever crave to do so,no.”
“Totally caught me surprise, amazing authentic tacos, the Pastor has actual flavor and they balance very well. Quick service, bilingual staff that treat everyone the same. Highly recommend.”
“I've been in Portland for 10 years, and Coquine has been on my radar for a while now. I was so excited when my friend made reservations (about a month in advance). I absolutely love the location near Mt. Tabor. It's really special, sitting there on its own with the market right next to it. I parked right in front of the restaurant. We were seated next to the window, and it ambience was lovely. I think you can get away wearing what you want, but dressing up is 100% appropriate. Food is clean, beautiful, and simple in a good way. We started with the trout roe and bread, and that was great. It was a fun, enjoyable start - you make your toast by putting your own toppings on. I got the 1/2 chicken, and thought it was cooked perfectly. I also got about 2 full meals out of it, so I'd say pricing was good. I loved when the server poured the carrot soup into my friend's bowl at the table. Shout out to the bus boy who folded my napkin and sat it down next to me as I came back from the bathroom. Clearly everyone pays close attention to what is going on. This is a Portland must. I'd say it pretty much embraces Portland dining at it's best.”
“Had an absolutely amazing experience. Cody was our server and was very professional. All the staff was extremely friendly and we definitely felt very welcome there. Food was top notch and great ”
“We enjoyed our family dinner. Good food and we were very happy six people could sit at a round table. The plants surrounding the table gave a feeling of privacy in an otherwise open space. My only negative comment is that I felt the wine bottle pricing was on the high side.”

Quaintrelle
“Food was adventurous, very flavorful and packs a punch, my favorites were the oysters, cured duck, and the scallops. I also never ate a parsnip so tasty in my life. Service is next to none, they replace all your utensils with new ones and if you leave your napkin to go the bathroom the re-fold or for you and put it on the table. They're very quick and attentive. I love the ambiance not too dark and very romantic. This place is definitely on my list for another date night. It's worth every penny.”
“Leaving a review to combat the flood of one-star fake reviews, probably from competitors, who knows.Real deal: Grana is popular and with good reason. The crust is exceptional, the quality of ingredients is very high, and the pies come out with excellent consistency. The QR code ordering only bothers luddites. It helps speed up the dining process.Reservations are highly recommended. Resy will get you at the "chefs table" aka bar where you can watch the work being done. Awesome to see. The citrus salad with arugula and fennel is 10/10. The Margherita pie is unstoppable. I've never had a specialty pie that was lacking.Grana is newer, and I believe it will grow into its space on the decor side, which is a bit bare. But you come here for the coziness and the very high quality, straightforward menu. It's been a repeat date night locale for my partner and I, who travel past many competitors to come there.”

En Vida PDX
“Came on a Saturday to have brunch with a couple friends. They weren't busy when we arrived (11a.m.), but packed by the time we were leaving.I had the Eggs Benedict. It was delicious, but the braised pork was over seasoned to me, still edible and tasty if you add a bite to the delicious little roasted potatoes. We all shared a side of Yuca fries, and pecan crusted/candied bacon. Both delicious, and the sauce provided for the fries was amazing. The service was also fantastic! Our server was very friendly and attentive.I would reccomend checking this place out. I will be back.”
Cheap Eats
“This is my favorite neighborhood bar in Portland! Fantastic vibe, fantastic selection of wine, beer, and seltzers, and awesome music! Oh, did I mention that they are DOG FRIENDLY?? Love it!”
“Very cool place to meet for drinks, grab a snack and play some games. Service is friendly and informative. Very clean, and better than expected food and beverage.”
“I’ve worked here for a couple months now and it really feels like family. My coworkers always let me know of my mistakes right after or before my shift is over. Working shifts with Kate has been really exciting as I’ve just gotten to learn more about her and she lets me know what I can do better on. I never realized just how many people can’t have dairy and gluten. The people that come in that realize they can try all the flavors and that they’re all vegan they are extremely happy. It’s been really fun working here and my favorite part is making the waffle cones!!”
“My third time at Keeper Coffee Co. today:)!! I love the feel of the space. It reminds me of a little coffee spot in the UK and I’m always consistently happy with the lattes and choice of pastries etc no matter the time of day.Vegetarian options: Mostly vegetarian not vegan that I know of.”
“Best sour beer, hands down. Happy hours Wednesday and Thursday all day and Friday to Sunday 4-6 pm. The end.Parking: Mon-Fri 8 AM TO 6 PM PAY TO PARK. Otherwise free street parking.”
“Good enchilada w/ mole. Sitting area is gross but it's probably typical for city food carts..? I'm not local so wouldn't know. Will be back for foods tho.”
“Great experience! So nice! The homemade seed and oat bread on this avocado toast is slammin! Will bring my partner here! Full send.Vegetarian options: Homemade, even raw vegetables for most of my meal. Plant-based, healthy, filling, and plenty of different options!”
“I stopped in late because my wife was craving Korean food. What a gem of a place this is. The owner took my order and was super kind. We had the Salmon and the chicken. Both totally over delivered. Salmon perfectly seasoned, perfectly cooked. The Kimchi was spot on. Many more meals we will be having. Totally worth driving down from our place in Arbor Lodge. Makes the neighborhood better. Super clean. Sorry no photos as we ate everything too fast.Dietary restrictions: They are all Gluten free. We are not but have friends who are.Kid-friendliness: They were welcoming my four year old being four. So appreciated”
“While the bus isn't a thing anymore, it was cool to watch my coffee being made in the sand. I ordered the baklava and it was the best tasting one I've had in a while. There was another vendor selling sandwiches and the egg and pastrami croissant was amazing...I don't know what the seasoning was but it was a delight.”
“Shhhh. It's a secret. Too good to share, keep it to yourselves. Don't tell anyone about how incredible the food is or that they mixed drinks are creative and delicious. This is just between you and me. Wink.”
“Can’t say enough about this place. Being an ex NY guy and Italian.. this is the real deal. So happy this popped up in my neighborhood. Can’t wait to get back on Tuesday to try their Marinara !”
“Funky little coffee shop with a few counter seats inside serving well prepared specialty coffees of the day. Not a street facing entrance, and you can walk past it if you're heading east.”
“I got the sausage biscuit and it was amazing. My fiancé got the chicken biscuit and he really enjoyed his. We also got the blueberry French toast and it was perfect, a lot of places can’t get French toast right but they did. Service was also amazing, she always made sure we were good on everything.”
“Not the best food cart pod in PDX, but I’d definitely go here frequently, if this were closer to me. We tried the Korean and Malaysian and we liked them both. We went around the holidays and a good number of them were closed.”
“Wonderful owners, food, and service. Would come here again. My family is Guyanese and we’d recommend anything on their menu. The only thing we didn’t get to try out is their chow mein and salt fish bc they sold out, but that’s a good sign, haha. We’ll make our way back soon.”
“We got the set menu. Everything was delicious, really inventive plates and it was definitely enough to share for the most part. The only issue was the main was 4 scallops in a sauce, it was good, but would have liked to have a few more to fill up on. Great service and ambience.”
“Great energy in this place every time, and I always have at least one dish that is one of the best versions of _____ I've ever had. Last night, it was the Apple Salad which was one of the best salads I've literally ever had.”

Wajan
“Warm and inviting. Casual and fun. There are many more adjectives I can use here, but here it is... if you like burmese/Thai/India flavors and smells. Wajan is that Indonesian mix of it all. Amazing food. Great and friendly staff. We had half the menu, and it didn't break the bank. I highly recommend Wajan and will be returning for the other half of the menu. Oh, and all the upcoming specials I saw that I wanna hit up as well. Hell yes. I definitely need more of this food in my life.”
31
Gumba
“I don't know if the service or food is better but both are incredible. I haven't had better pasta. The albacore bruschetta was one of the best appetizers I've ever hadm so was the burrata was this fry bread. Go back and get something else again. It's so good.”
32
Phuket Cafe
“Truly excellent! We loved every dish, our server recommended a really good cocktail, and it was very cozy and cute inside. Just left and already looking forward to going back again!”
33
Scotch Lodge
“The cocktails are amazing and the atmosphere is out of this world. The service is wonderful and I love the speakeasy feel. Totally feels like a lounge or a club with great lighting and wonderful decor. Definitely something to check out.”
34
GNARLYS
“What a gem! We don't eat vegan exclusively but have egg and dairy allergies so getting burgers with cheese and ranch and shakes was awesome! The buddy stix (mozzarella) were not bad but the Paddy's Melt and Newport Nightmare were both great and the Smashed to pieces shake was so good we came back another time just for more shakes! This place is located inside Swan Dive and did not have a sign outside (as they moved recently to the kitchen inside).”
36
Old Pal
“Went for cocktails, which were lovely and not crazy expensive. Food, including oysters and a small plate of cheese ended up costing over 70 per couple averaging three drinks for two. Great environment. Nice staff. Just seemed pretty pricey for food. But, who am I kidding? I never go out anymore!”
“One of Portland’s absolute best breakfast restaurants. Everything on the menu is delicious, but the French toast is something everyone should try once.Vegetarian options: Multiple veggie options that are clearly labeled. Vegetarian sandwich on the lunch menu is great.”

Daily Fuel
“Finally tried Daily Fuel out, and I’m not sure why I waited so long! Had takeout and portions were great and food was incredible!Dietary restrictions: All vegan and very gf friendly”

Casa Zoraya
“I traveled to Portland for the first time and this is my best dining experience in Portland (besides Salt & Straw ice cream)! We arrived 10 minutes before our initial reservation and had to wait 11 minutes for our table (which was fine). We asked for the menu twice but it took them ages to give us one so we just asked Google. Their menu on the website is not updated and some photos in Google Business are more accurate. The heated 'patio' was nice and warm (it is actually built indoors/in a closed environment). The set up is bright and it was bustling with people. Service was slow and it took the staff a while to take our order. We ordered the Causa de Camarones (shrimp and potato) for the starter and the Ceviche de Pescado and Seco de Cordero (lamb) for entrees. I loved everything we ate (even though the lamb was a bit heavy with beans and rice - double carbs). The waitress was friendly. To elevate the service, I suggest that the restaurant train their staff on menu pairing suggestions and dish recommendations. For example, the waitress informed us that the lamb dish would taste pretty cilantro-y (it wasn't so). She could have given a 'disclaimer' or personal thoughts on how heavy our meal could be and suggested a lighter pairing (room for desserts!). A small note: When we left, everyone said thank you (except the waitress who took our order). Overall, it was a good experience and I definitely recommend this place / want to come back when I am back in Portland again!”
“Amazing food and drink. The friendly staff and vegan dishes were above and beyond, our waiter gave us some fantastic recommendations. We will certainly be returning. 10/10”
“VERY cool group of food trucks. Fun atmosphere. Food does take a little more time than normal to get to you, but overall, great experience and fun food options.”
“Excellent cocktails, both of their own design and classics, even fairly niche ones. Huge selection and also a decently priced happy hour. They have table service which is quite nice, too. We've never had their food and only gone here for drinks.”
“This place was on my list for a while and it was a surprise and delight! Atmosphere was bright and airy. While the menu is small with shareable bites (my favorite kind of eatery). we still went home with full stomachs. Drinks: Life of Luxury, Acid, Drugs, Thai Tea. Food: Chopped BBQ Fried Rice with Brisket and Sweet n’ Sour Fried Chicken. Dessert: Coconut Panna Cotta. While I unfortunately have a low tolerance for heat, I powered through the friend rice because it was SO GOOD. From my partner’s perspective, it had a nice “kick”. Really loved the flavors of everything we had!”

L’ Orange
45
Noodle Point
“This is one of only a few places that serve Laksa, which is what I was looking for. It was very good, and very filling. When asked, they told me they serve Laksa because the owner was from Singapore. As others have noted, the staff is very nice.”
“Cozy, unusual, quirky dining experience. We got there early at 5:40 pm and were the first to be sat and served when they open at 6. All food was fantastic, fresh, and flavorful. We tried every entree on the menu and each one was better then the next. We loved the fried rice, crispy tofu app, and spring rolls. Don’t go here if you’re looking for a quick dining experience, there’s only 1 cook in the kitchen!! Great evening.”
“Fantastic! I want to give myself 5 stars for finding this place :-)Food is top notch, wine selection and recommendations are top notch, the passion that goes into service is top notch, …We had a memorable dining experience here. Thank you!”

Fermenter
“Fermenter is our favorite restaurant in Portland and one of the things that made us happy we moved here — I’ve been to a lot of vegan spots across the country but this place is special. Food has always been exceptional, but so has everyone we’ve interacted with. So so so sad to see this concept come to an end, but can’t wait to see what they do next!”

“Some of the best food in Portland, the sesame noodles are prominently featured in my food dreams! Amazing mushroom bao, delicious hot mustard sauce, and the wok-fried string beans are smoky and delicious.”

Tusk
“One of the best restaurants in Portland and I do not say that lightly. We got the tasting menu here and had a great time. We were very full and happy leaving this place. The restaurant itself looks great as well.”
51
Wu-Rons
“Wu-Ron’s is just objectively the best. My wife and I go basically on a weekly basis, and this has been the case since they opened a couple years ago. Everything is super consistent, broth is always perfectly balanced. Usually, when I get ramen at various places, I can’t finish the broth because it’s too much, like the salt adds up or it just becomes too rich. Not the case at Wu-Ron’s, I always finish everything. The pork and noodles are also consistently perfect, and the family that runs it is the nicest ever. It truly feels like home, and if I move away from Portland, this is the place I will miss the most.”
52
Lechon
“Always go here whenever I visit Portland. Consistently great food and not yet found something I didn’t like.Favorites include the brisket empanadas and the bone marrow!”
“Kee’s Loaded Kitchen gets it right! I am from the south and have been searching for southern style food that has not been adulterated with other styles. This some of the best fries catfish I have ever eaten. The greens are on point (which is a rare find). The remaining sides are exactly what I would find in the southeast and delicious! I will be back and I plan to share this with all of my local friends that are interested in southern food.”
“We have the impression that Japanese restaurants are expensive while not offering authentic taste, but the chef here has good taste. Lunch prices are reasonable and the atmosphere is elegant. We had the Braised Pork Belly, Tonkatsu Curry, and Bento Box (Salmon Teriyaki, California Roll, and Shrimp Tempura). Unfortunately, the shrimp tempura in the bento box was a 'deep fried shrimp' than Japanese TEMPURA, and the cutlet in the curry was disappointingly thin and lacked juiciness. Additionally, red pickled ginger is not used in Japan, as it tends to overshadow the curry's flavor. If FUKUJINZUKE, a classic curry accompaniment, is unavailable, it might be better to serve the curry without any side. (By the way, red pickled ginger makes an excellent garnish for beef bowls.??) The staff was so pleasant.?✨”
“Super cute atmosphere, food and coffee were great and cute little knickknacks to pick up.Kid-friendliness: Definitely a place you could bring kids, staff is super sweet and very personable.”
“This is an amazing local bar that I hope never becomes famous. It’s full of locals who enjoy an amazing dining experience with some great beers. The owner is one amazing lady who is fully engaged in the bar and loves her customers and it absolutely shows. I will definitely be back to this place multiple times, I had a fantastically fun night and I want to thank everybody I met there tonight. Big shout out to Amanda. It was her first night tonight and she was absolutely amazing.”
“OMG, this place was amazing. We went at lunchtime on Presidents Day, so I thought it was a little odd that the lunch specials were not available. That was okay, because the food was so fantastic. Wife had the basil chicken which was one of the best Chinese dishes ever. I had the Lamb with Green Onion, which was good, but I'd try something else next time. I rarely see Lamb on a Chinese menu, so I had to try it. We split some green the green tea. The service was fast and friendly, as were some patrons. A couple guys walked by and asked about the b=Basil Chicken, so we told them it was a must! Huge open space that is unexpected given the outside of the historic Louis Building, built in 1885. We are going back!!”

Tartuca
“The food was absolutely amazing. Staff was unbelievably friendly and helpful and knowledgeable about the menu. Loved it. Had been once before and it was equally ”
“It helps to go with someone who's been here before, half the dishes I've tried were incredible and the other half were so-so. For example the bewan bunny dumplings are alright, but the 2nd bunnies listed further down on the menu the "puto pao bunny bao" are where it's at!Other really good items include the Siu Mai dumplings and their amazing krab Rangoons! However I'm not personally a fan of the mapo tofu, its made with soft tofu and a very earthy mapo sauce similar to the flavors of an authentic szechuan restaurant. I've also ordered the Char Siu Bao twice hoping the first time was a fluke, but they are too dry imo and the filling is a little off.Overall this is a 5 star place with a little bit of room for improvement. I'll be back :)”
“I’ve had several dishes from both the SE Division in Portland and the South Lake Union location in Seattle. Both offer consistently great food.I highly recommend the Drunken Noodle. Wide rice noodle with baby corn, onion, bell pepper, tomatoes, carrots, mushrooms, and Thai basil in a garlic sauce. Delicious ?From my experience they tend to go spicier than I am accustomed to. Be forewarned.”
“This is quite a little gem. Lots of wine and beer on tap. We went on a Saturday night and it was full but still chill. Very neighborhood feel despite being in a strip mall. We got the scallops and gnocchi with crab. Both dishes were delicious and the focaccia was excellent too. Highly recommend.”

“Really great pizza. Excellent pizza in fact. But there’s more: they also have a phenomenal smoothie, high quality coffee, and my kids love their hot chocolate.Parking: The food truck is in a small parking lot but there is plenty of street parking that is always available.Kid-friendliness: Hot chocolate for the kids. Pizza for everyone. It’s a food truck with outdoor seating. The seating isn’t covered but there is plenty of space to run around. If the weather is decent kids will love it.”

“First time eating here and had a wonderful experience. Portions were filling and very flavorful. The Lamb was super tender and went well with the sides. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Drinks were priced well and tasted very good. I liked that gratuity was included in the check.Dietary restrictions: Most of the menu is gluten free.”

“***WOW***This is one of the only restaurants I’ve been to where I actually said out loud “OH MY LORD” upon tasting!!! The pork belly dish was absolutely PHENOMENAL!! I’ve been to many restaurants in the general Portland vicinity and NONE compares to the authenticity.DEFINITELY recommend!! Drinks were amazing as well. The price was more than reasonable!! Waiter was great and the owner/chef came out to greet and chat.Overall great place to go for a fabulous dinner.”

Canary
“Canary is simply a gem of a place. The vibe is always so relaxed. The service is always great and the food never misses. My wife and I have had practically everything on the menu for brunch and dinner since they opened. The Canary Burger is one of the best in Portland. Not overly complicated. Just a good honest burger with excellent crispy bacon, well seasoned burger patties, and just enough condiments to get stuff on your face but not too much where you wear it. The fries are crispy as hell however the sweet potato fries are the highlight. The Chicken and Waffles are awesome and don't sleep on their beet salad or any of their specials. Great beer selection and really good cocktails which won't break your budget. This place is a must try.”
“Came here for their soft serve and I loved it. I ordered a vanilla soft serve with strawberry dusting and a chocolate cowboy hat. I will say that the chocolate hate tasted a bit like chai so that threw me off a little but I wiped it off. As for the strawberry dusting it didn’t have much flavor but it was fun! It was also a bit too much ice cream for me so maybe I would ask for less ice cream next time”
“I come yearly for training and tend to find a new place to eat everyday. This place after one visit I knew would be in my future visits. I had based off of prior reviews as a deciding factor for chosing this place. This is my 3rd time coming to Portland and let me say, this is the only restaurant I have decided to visit twice as the food is really that good, especially if you are a seafood person. The ciopinno will not let you down.”

Fish & Rice
“Tried Fish & Rice for the first time after reading all of the great reviews and I'm happy to say that it was a great place! We got a few rolls from here and even though we thought the prices were pretty hefty compared to competitors, the rolls themselves were delicious, I especially loved the spam roll! The decor of the restaurant is very welcoming and cozy, with large tables suited towards big groups and a few high table chairs for singles or couples. The only thing I disliked about our visit here is that there is a smell that gets into your clothes which is not pleasant. Once we left, the next day our jackets smelled like the restaurant and we had to wash all our clothes from that visit to get rid of it.”
“I've been here a hand full of times and it is delicious every time, I slightly prefer it when I eat there. The curry noodle soup is my current favorite and their dumplings are SO good!”

“Totally awesome, Southern fried chicken was excellent, and unique, delicious! The chopped cabbage, with a tasty dressing, and the breaded chicken thigh, all came together to make an amazing sandwich ?I also had an order of JoJo's with JoJo sauce, definitely a must have. Can't wait to go back and try something new.”

OK Omens
“The basil ice cream dessert was to die for! As was everything else we ate. Inventive and exciting can only begin to describe our experience here. From all the beautiful natural lighting, to a bathroom amusingly decorated with bottles, to a wine list that made me giggle, this place earned a permanent spot on my must eat list for all my visiting friends.”
“I went with my family during Happy Hour and the food was delicious. For starters we ordered some ricotta cheese crostinis that were delicious and a "small" salad which was more than enough for 3 people. The pizza was a delight but the best thing was to accompany it with a delicious sangria.I highly recommend this place.”
“Things they do well: great food, good service, cute decor. Food I like here: Pho soup, Spicy Bun bo soup, Orange chicken, Lemongrassed grilled pork, grilled chicken. Great addition to Bethany area! They sometimes offered samples of new dish to regular customers :-”

“Truly wonderful restaurant experience. As a larger group, we ordered about 12 dishes, and I truly enjoyed every single one. Favorites from our table were Turkish baked hummus and pita, winter mushrooms, heirloom carrots and falafel. Service was wonderful and all staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. I’ve visited a few times before and definitely plan to return again!Dietary restrictions: The restaurant provided a menu with checkmarks for the several dishes that were vegan. I think it was nearly a dozen options.”

“I used to live just outside of Venice and this is some of the most authentic Northern Italian food I've had in the states. We fell in love with the salt cod crostini (cicchetti al baccalà), radicchio salad with fresh oranges and black olives, supplì with a raddichio and gorgonzola filling, handmade pastas, buttermilk panna cotta, risotto tart, and the wine list (!) It's all perfect and the wait staff were attentive, super knowledgeable, and happy to share their love of authentic Italian food! We will be back many times.”
“We ordered takeout and got two different pizzas to try. Both were amazing. I prefer pizza with red sauce but we didn't miss the sauce at all. The crust is just perfect with a nice crispy outer layer and just the right amount of chewiness that your jaw doesn't get tired. I could taste the mild tanginess of the sourdough that gave the pizza a unique flavor that you don't get from regular dough. They weren't skimpy with their delicious, quality toppings either. I hope I can dine-in next time because these pizzas deserve immediate consumption.”
“Had the best dinner last night. This place is still one of my favorites in Portland. Everything was absolutely delicious and the service was all around spectacular!”
“Amazing! The owner served our party after we just had a memorial celebration nearby. The drinks were phenomenal and the service was sincere and amazing. Decor, fabulous. Loved the experience. I'll be back for the food next!”
“Phenomenal sushi. And a great price for the quality. Definitely ask about the specials and grab a sake from the drink cart next door. There is an area with lots of tables and chairs so you can eat at the food cart pod area.”
“The owner is great, and those who are complaining please keep in mind this is still a sports bar not a michelin restaurant, & men who complain about not feeling included or not enjoying women’s sports, obviously this bar was not designed for you, feel free to enjoy your 200 other bars where you are welcomed.”

“went to this place on a whim and LOVED it!! the vibe is great, super chill, the servers were incredibly hospitable and attentive, and the food was out of this world! i just went to thailand this summer and have been missing having really good thai food and this place definitely scratched my itch! got the som tom thai, gai grop sam yan, kanang pad khai, and khao soi. all SO good!!!Dietary restrictions: i have a lot of dietary restrictions and the waitress was extremely helpful and cautious. they even have an extensive allergy list for you to look at!!”
“Accidentally stumbled upon this place and was blown away! The food was sooo good! I had shrimp and grits and it was the best I'd ever had. I meant to go back and tell Erica thanks, but got lost in my meal and forgot. Thank you, Erica! I'll be back!”

“Food was outstanding! We had the carpaccio and crudo to start, carpaccio was the show stopper. Trout and pork for mains, both cooked excellently, and then had the sorbetto and pana Cotta for dessert. The quality of ingredients and flavor/texture combinations were amazing! The service was so-so, told them it was a special occasion in advance but no acknowledgement of that. The server also gave us some awkward guidance when selecting wine, and wasn't super warm or friendly. Tables were pretty close to each other, it felt like we were spilling off a little with two entrees and drinks.Dietary restrictions: Amazing selection of gluten free appetizers and entrees!!”
“I'm always pleased with whatever I get from Matt's BBQ Tacos! It's tasty and interesting! Even if there's a wait, just put your order in online on your way and it'll be ready in no time.”
“Comfort food at its finest. Guys working there are super chill and set us up with all their sauces. We took some time deciding what we wanted because all of it sounded so good. My brother got the trifecta combo and my husband and I each got the chicken sandwich. My only complaint is that the sandwiches were a little hard to pick up and eat just because they were so loaded. Don't let the website pictures fool you - these portions are huge (and the prices very affordable). My husband and I could have easily split one sandwich but instead have leftovers for tomorrow. :) everything just pairs well together. The menu has been well thought-out and I think we need to come back to try more!”
“The whole place's vibe was right. Person that took our order and made the food was polite and you could tell enjoyed what they created. We got the beef PHO to 5 spice chicken! Tell the whole block to pull up! BIG LOVE.”

“Good barbacoa is hit & miss around portland. The barbacoa here is legit, and I should probably order something else, but I don't.But they have this sauce... it's a bright orange, probably habañero based sauce. It's so good. It's got the perfect spice kick to get you sweating.Listen Morty, you might think a pop culture reference in a google review is cliché, but YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND THE SAUCE! It's not like a normal sauce, it-it-*buurrrp* it's something people would fight a war over! And they would be right! I'd give at least 100 other people's lives for this sauce Morty listen to me”

“This was the single best dining experience I've EVER had. The staff was incredibly friendly and professional, and there was a personal touch that I've never experienced. The lamb was probably the best dish I've ever had, and the cocktails were stunning as well. This might be the best restaurant in Oregon, the creativity of the flavors is OFF THE CHARTS. 10/10.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free”
“I'd driven past this place a million times but finally went in on the recommendation of a friend. Everything was extremely well prepared and delicious. The atmosphere was excellent and we had a really wonderful time. So happy to have found a great steak place that I don't have to make the trek downtown for.”
“Awesome place to visit. The craft cocktails are so good and the food is delicious. They were able to accommodate a vegetarian option. The staff were attentive and friendly. We really enjoyed the experience.”
“Valet parking crew was outstanding. Nice to have a coat check. Seated imediatley when on time for reservation. Staff was above friendly. Food to die for, but pay before ya go.”
“This is a gem of a place. You will absolutely not expect it when you look at the outside. It is fantastic, very peaceful, and with great food and service. Will absolutely return.”
“Can't say enough good things about this place the atmosphere and food are just amazing. We went for brunch and everything was too notch. Drinks were on point and I can't say enough about the food it is 5 star all the way. If your looking for a good brunch don't miss this spot. Usually a wait but remember good food takes time.”

“Most tender, well flavored chicken I’ve eaten. Delicious! The white meat was unbelievably moist and the skin crisp and delightfully smoky. Simple presentation that was perfect for my in things being an unostentatious. Beet and grapefruit salad was a wonderfully surprising combination of flavors. We had a half order each of the potatoes and sweet potatoes to round everything off. Wonderful comfort food and my favorite place to go with my best friends.”

“I am by no means a Vegan. In fact if there is an afterlife I am sure I will have many many furry faces waiting for me for my crimes of rampant meat consumption. So setting that as the starting off point I eat the vegan bowl here like two or three times a week. This girl is an absolute wok goddess. I have no idea how she manages to cook every single piece of vegetables in her stir frys without ever making a single piece go limp. I have a deep and abiding childhood hatred of cauliflower. It is marrow deep to the point of irrational dislike on my end. Yet when that vile weed appears at random in her stir fry I am not only okay with it, but thoroughly enjoy the dish. Even her rice is several steps ahead of the competition. The curried Garbonzo beans are simply perfect. The fresh diced cucumber and carrot makes the perfect crunchy contrast with the amazing rice and curried legumes. The fresh lime juice makes her dishes flirt with sweetness while still being savory. If your tired of the same old boring grease soaked fries and cheese slathered mediocre slabs of low grade meat check out this cart. The flavors are both well seasoned yet not over powering. She has a chefs touch to be sure. Plus my heart I am sure prefers the fare far more than another artery clogging mass of American failure cuisine.”
“Great people serving AMAZING Mexican Food! We eat there atleast every week, and have tried a lot of food trucks and this one is one of our favs. See for yourself... worth a good try. Great job hugs! Enjoy”
“I absolutely love this small Mexican food chain, the great food at a good price and open very late. The only problem I had here was that it was fairly cold in the dining room and it was freezing outside. I had hoped to enjoy eating my dinner in peace and warmth here. Other than that, I love this place and wish there were more of them around Portland.”
“This is my favorite Ethiopian in Portland! Absolutely delicious veggie combo- the juiciest and most flavorful tibs. Green roasted coffee beans and incredible service.”

“All the staff here is great, but Dylan was the star of the show. I was there to celebrate my anniversary, and he his exceptional service made tonight even more amazing than I thought it could’ve been. 11/10 recommend.”
“As usual, we don't go to Portland City Grill for food quality, but for first-rated services and scenic beauty. It was my friend's treat for my birthday. I brought 2 bottles of Argiano Brunello di Montalcino 2018, Wine Spectators 2023 wine of the year. A memorable and wonderful night!Parking: For first 2 hours, the PCG validates. We were there for a little longer and paid $8 on top of the validation.”
“I have read good and bad reviews and was leery of going to this restaurant. However, what a great experience!! The food was beyond great, it was fantastic. Service was exemplary. Sonia was our server and was wonderful. The minuses were the music was too loud and I didn't appreciate the servers cleaning the table while we still eating and talking but overall a very great experience. Costly but worth every cent.”
“We were pleased our request to move our patio reservation inside to the main dining room was possible. Our table of three started with a lovely Barbera, charcuterie and cheese. Flavors were exceptional for the grilled pork sausage, crispy coppa di testa and porchetta di testa! The gouda and prosciutto were the ideal companions. The Bistecca, presented on a bed of arugula was prepared perfectly. The Gnocchi alla Romana with mozzarella and porcinis melted in your mouth. Parmigiana mashed potatoes were creamy and delightful with the crispy prosciutto though ideally needed a temperature boost before serving. The tiramisu was the ideal closer for another fantastic meal at Nostrana!”
“Guillermo was an amazing waiter! I will be coming back just from the service we’ve received from him! Above and beyond!12oz Steak was fanatical! Well prepared and well portioned. The lobster tail was well prepared and tasted delicious. The atmosphere was a little busy and Guillermo was straight forward with everything. Guillermo made the experience wonderful, with our first visit, his presence alone will make us return for another great experience.”
“Nice selection of local beers (I’m not from this area, but I liked what I had). Good typical seafood that was presented in a kind of super-fancy way. The clam chowder had clams in the shell and gnocchi instead of potatoes. Was it necessary to do it this way? Probably not. But tasty. The fish and chips had the best cod I’ve had in fish and chips. The breading on the fish was more like a delicate tempura than typical fish and chips breading. Once again, very fancy treatment of typical bar seafood. Nice bartender.”
“Vegetarian options: Given that this is a seafood and steakhouse, vegetarian options, are rare on the menu, and really restricted to just things like salad. I would say that this is not a restaurant aimed at vegetarian eats.Dietary restrictions: With an assortment of options on the menu, there is definitely something for everyone if you have dietary restrictions. The weight staff is also helpful to inform you if you have a question about a dish or are unsure about what’s in it. You can make a special request to withhold certain items from the dish depending on how it’s incorporated just let them know.Parking: I went for lunch and did not encounter valet parking, it was open parking in the lunch time. However, as the restaurant was getting ready for dinner, the valet parking requirement was instituted and the restaurant parking lot is off-limits unless you’re willing to do valet. There are cones and signs, indicating as such as well as staff on hand for valet.Kid-friendliness: The restaurant could be kid friendly, but given the pricing of the food I don’t really see this being a place for children. I would suggest that if you did want to bring children to come during the earlier part of the day as there is going to be more kid friendly food. The evening menus suggest that it’s more for adults and drinking.Wheelchair accessibility: The restaurant is wheelchair accessible in that they have a upper level that is flat with the entry area that you can wheel around to. There is also a ramp to access the window seating area. The only level that seemed in accessible by a wheelchair would be the lower level as I only saw stairs going to that level. I did not see an elevator.”
“I have been here often, not as regular lately. This time service was OK. Our waiter didn't tell us specials or ask if we wanted bread. Food wasn't as good either. I had French Onion soup, except it didn't have onions? My salmon was good and the green beans with carrots was excellent. Have to think before spending this type of money for an just OK dinner.Previous visit. It's one of my favorite restaurants in Downtown Portland. Consistently great food, mostly fish, good steak too. There are not many vegetarian options. I had the Etouffee. My bride had salmon, rice, and green beans. She also had the house salad, I chose the wedge with blue cheese crumbles and bacon bits. We didn't have room for dessert. A very pleasant experience. It does get busy as the night goes on. I recommend reservations for a table after 5:45.Vegetarian options: Not much. A few salad items, one menu item.Kid-friendliness: More of an adult place, romantic or for business meals.”
“Food was great. I only wish the service was the same. Server was nice. Took a while to get our order in. Wanted dessert. It took longer to get pre made desserts out than it took for our dinner order. It shouldn't take 1.75 hours to eat dinner in an uncrowded establishment such as this.”
“My wife and I came here for date night before we Is to the Keller auditorium. The food was amazing and I would order it 10 times over again. Is our waiter was beyond amazing. I had the blackened cod And my wife had Is Pacific oysters pasta.”
“Had an absolutely amazing experience. Cody was our server and was very professional. All the staff was extremely friendly and we definitely felt very welcome there. Food was top notch and great ”
“Come for the oysters, stay for the steaks, fish, & views!I brought the oldest daughter's beau for a man to man, heart to heart, and boy was the food outstanding. Absolutely, let's focus on the food, the drinks, the views. They make a great steak, and certainly the oysters here in the Northwest are the best on the planet, but my friends, the sea bass. The SEA BASS! It will reprogram everything you know about seafood. Oscar style, fresh veggies, potato puree. I'm drooling just remembering that meal.It was exquisite.”
“Overall the food was very good; there were a few croutons in the lobster bisque that tasted stale though; the flavors of the dinner were great overall, but it appeared that the sauces were not well distributed through the Chile Bass Oscar and the associated vegetables; some of the potato puree seemed bland and other parts were flavorful, and the same with the sea bass, as if they were labeled on at the last min instead of cooked in certain sauces; normally I wouldn't mind, but for a $205 dinner i would expect more. As always the raw oysters and bag of chocolate and fruit with custard were superlative;”
“We enjoyed our family dinner. Good food and we were very happy six people could sit at a round table. The plants surrounding the table gave a feeling of privacy in an otherwise open space. My only negative comment is that I felt the wine bottle pricing was on the high side.”
“Great service, setting, and food. Lasagna was spectacular. Just gotta keep the bread coming, especially when something is saucy. At times I felt they would bus the table a bit early (still was currently using bread to soak up the sauce and a hand pops in asking if I was done.....ahhhh no, clearly using it). Food tho (and I'm not a pasta person however I am a barba mingo person”

“I was in Portland from out of state for a conference and Tacos Frita catered one of the meals. I loved their vegan and gluten free tacos and the pinto beans were the best I've had. I had to have their food again so I went to the food truck. Very nice people, great customer service!”
“The service is amazing, waitress kept refilling my water and glass of Diet Coke so I wouldn’t have to lift a finger. Elaborately dressed staff and beautifully plated dishes. This is a perfect date night spot!”
“I usually go for NY style pizza if I'm getting pizza but wanted to try here bc it sounded different. Wasn't sure how Indian it was going to be, and I would say after trying it is mostly on the classic pizza side w/ about 25% Indian. I liked it but they could make it more Indian tasting & I think I'd like it more. You can choose from a few topping options such as tandoori chicken, curry chicken & a few others. They also have paneer vegetarian options which I may try next time as they sound good. They let you choose half and half and we tried a couple of the chicken options and both were very tasty. I wasn't the biggest fan of their standard crust as it was a bit doughy to me but I noticed that you can choose different crust as well as make your own pizza (only after I ordered unfortunately) and they have a thin crust or cauliflower crust option as well as some others. The interior is spacious w/ some big screens that have games on. They also have some nice specials, a lunch special for a small pizza & weekday special where your 1st beer is $1.”
“What a fun dinner! Staff is so friendly, food options are unique and delicious. We loved ordering lots of the small snacks and desserts to share. Would definitely come back!”
“The food is excellent and the staff is very nice! Also, they fulfill as ordered. A very welcome addition to the neighborhood! (PS - I want to add we've actually gotten food four times here so far, consistently a pleasure as stated, so not just a one-time thing!)”
“We ordered the pu pu dinner here and it did not disappoint! Everything that came out was amazing. Loved the Crab Rangoons and the shrimp dish. Staff was very attentive and personable! We will be back!”
“The food here is amazing— loved being able to get some northern Vietnamese dishes that are less common at many of the Viet restaurants in PDX. They also use tons of Viet herbs when many other places use only cilantro, or mint. The service was lovely and the decor reminded me of the lovely new restaurants and coffee shops in Hanoi. We will definitely be back!!Vegetarian options: Veg and vegan options on the menu.”
“love this place! only spot in town i’ve seen that serves huaraches. their quesa birria is also fantastic, no pictures from me because i eat it too quickly. best mexican spot downtown. highly recommended!”
“I don’t know where this place has been all my life !! This place is legit , awesome service , clean , comfortable and let’s not forget the sushi is OUTSTANDING !! ❤️ this place.”
“This place is marketed as a dive online, but it's more like a casual bar and restaurant. The cocktail program and menu are incredible, really tasty and perfectly prepared. Staff is friendly and made sure I got the meatballs on my rigatoni. And I could eat and entire jar of the pickled cauliflower. I just moved into the neighborhood and I will be back often”
“I forgot the name of the drink I got, but it had an energy drink in it, and I also got mini pancakes. Portions are huge and they were both delicious. Got our order in a timely manner and staff were friendly. Don Bigote is located in Portland Mercado. Lots of seating also, and be sure to check out the other food spots here!Parking: Parking lot is limited to a number of cars but people can park on the streets”
“All killer, no filler. Incredible traditional coffee drinks. Expert barista. Prices that are probably too low for the excellent quality. This isn't a place where you will study or meet people. It's a tiny shop. But it's a place where your 10 minutes there will rejuvenate your day. It's quiet, smooth, and excellent.”
“We dined at Bellpine at it was spectacular. The only thing that surpassed the food in excellence was our server David. He was personable and made the experience so fun. We will be back. Thank you David for the stellar service!”
“The service was great, we were greeted right away and told to sit anywhere. We sat at the window, so nice to watch the outside lol. The pho is DELICIOUS and priced fairly. Also got Yakisoba and that was delicious as well. Nice portions.”
“Came here with a friend and really enjoyed our cocktails and were impressed by the interesting flavors and the atmosphere. (We didn’t order food.) A great first-date place for something a bit more intimate. This is the type of small business that Portland should embrace! Go! It’s well worth it.”
