It’s a small, tucked-away spot that we only share with a handful of people because we love being able to stop in and enjoy a fresh, consistently amazing bowl of ramen without the crowd. The quality is always spot on, no matter the day. The waitress always remembers our order, which makes it feel like home, and the cook always greets us with a smile. I keep returning for the chill environment for remote work in the afternoons and the friendly regulars watching the latest playoff game at the bar monitor. Try it out on a Tuesday eve when they have an popular bluegrass picking circle. It’s a great place to make new friends.“

The bottle selection isnt extremely large, however they have really well priced, good quality wine choices in the $10-$20 range!!! The bartender who rung up my sale was very sweet, and parking was a breeze. I will be going back for this particular bottle, as the store I usually go to quit selling it!!!“

“I popped in here for the first time several months ago for lunch and a glass of wine, and ended up having what could arguably be one of the best Italian cold cut sandwiches I’ve had in my life. Seriously, I wake up dreaming about that sandwich sometimes it’s so good. The pepper spread pulls it all together. My partner really enjoys the Cascadia Dip.

When it comes to their wine and beer selections, there is a lot to choose from. It’s a great place to take friends or family because there is something to suit everyone’s tastes. The service has been friendly every time, and the atmosphere is great. “My husband and I go to iL Terrazzo every time we come to Portland (from Coos Bay), even had his 75th birthday party there. Manager Kyle and Assistant Manager Jessica, their chef and wait staff make each dining experience exceptional. The unique menu offers scrumptious food. You will never be sorry you ate here. “This is another gem in the McMenamins line of fun, historical establishments - and by far my favorite! Been here many times over the years - actually even had my very first lobster roll EVER here (as a special item years ago) and it was amazing. The vibe is so quirky - you definitely feel like you’re walking the halls of your old elementary school - except there are bars and a lively restaurant and even a brewery haha!! The staff has always been super welcoming and friendly. The food at their main Courtyard Restaurant has always been great. On my last visit (July 2023), I had their chicken salad sandwich on croissant and it was SO GOOD!! Even their tater tots were perfectly cooked. And they even have some of the best iced tea I’ve had outside of the south! Their menu changes seasonally so it’s always a treat to try something new. After eating, leave time to explore - the grounds are just gorgeous and you’ll get lost in the nostalgia as you wander around the old school’s hallways. They have several bars - one is huge and has total steampunk vibes. They have a small hotel and a salt water pool - even the bathrooms are beautiful. I’d definitely like to stay here next time - but I imagine it can be a tad spooky at night haha! The school opened back in 1915 so it’s a historic building. The wall art is gorgeous and there are lots of info signs and historical pics scattered around. It’s in a good location in north Portland with plenty of parking and easy to find. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in the area!“

“Great local taproom. They play great music on a double record player, and great live music on the weekends. The cider in particular is very good. The food is hot or miss, the pizza is great if a little pricey, the apps and sandwiches are getting better.
