“Update:Everything is still amazing. Happy hour until 5pm even on weekends. We enjoyed every dish - especially liked the grilled octopus. The farmers salad was really good too - I usually don’t like goat cheese but their salad blends so well and the goat cheese is not gamey only creamy.2023:Nice seafood tapas place and great happy hour before 5pm. Especially liked the shrimp ceviche“
“Amazing food and so many vegan options. We got chow mein, fried rice, garlic broccoli, sweet and sour tofu, egg rolls, and dumplings and everything was delicious. Very good portion sizes, too! We will have leftovers for a while now, yay. Definitely will be back!“
“Food, tasty. Beers, tasty. Sports on the TV, awesome. But what I really want to talk about is the bar stools. I have never in my life sat on a bar stool that fit my entire a$$. Thank you. I have never been so comfortable and felt so seen in an establishment. There's something truly next level about being able to sit in a seat that doesn't pinch or cut off circulation while you devour cauliflower in a lighter than air batter.“
“Nested in a nice food park, Saint Burrito has delicious burritos and friendly service. Ordered carnitas which was flavorful and had a slight crunchy texture from the searing. ? I also ordered the harbanero salsa but thought it would be a bit more spicy as a good middle ground of the choices. ALTHOUGH!, the salsa has a fantastic authentic roasted texture and color which I absolutely love. Will be returning.“
“Ken was our server, he did a great job. I started off with Thai Iced Tea. The Spicy Chicken Salad came next and it was delicious. Mussaman chicken curry hit the spot. BBQ Pork Fried Rice was excellent. It's a very light rice dish with thinly cut bbq pork. I didn't have room for the fried bananas. Next time!Recommended“
“She delivered delicious organic, FRESH, local food that was generous in portion sizes. 10 out of 10 would use her catering service again! She can provide gluten free, vegan, vegetarian and omnivore, with optional chicken and wild caught shrimp.“
“Oh my word. You can't skip the Hashtastic (with tofu scramble). It's unbelievable and I don't normally do tofu and I expect the option with eggs would have also been great. The berry waffles were delightful. If you are lucky and their soup of the day is tomato basil, make room in your belly because that's also a must. My wife and I were looking for dairy and egg free options but were shocked at how good the food was here. Next time we are back in Portland (coming from Seattle) we will have to come back.Dietary restrictions: Everything is vegan by default but you can substitute for dairy options or eggs instead of tofu.“
“What a nice hidden gem! We tried their spicy and soy garlic flavored Korean fried chicken and both were delicious and crispy. Portions were generous, and the rice, potato salad, and pickled radish that came with the bowl were a nice accompaniment. Spend the extra $1.50 for a side of kimchi. It is yummy! We are looking forward to coming back and trying the other flavors of chicken, and also their tteokbokki, beef bulgogi, and Korean style hot dogs.Only negatives are no indoor seating, and outdoor seating is sparse and not really suitable for big people.Vegetarian options: You can get fried tofu instead of chicken.Kid-friendliness: Easy to eat, non spicy options.“
“Usually when I go to a place and it's empty I take it as a warning sign. So glad I stayed, I got C7, it had tumeric noodles and there was a dish of mixed herbs to put in the soup that had something other than the usual basil leaves (which was very tasty).SO DELICIOUS.Broth was rich, silky, and well balanced with spices.Would come back again.Music was also lit ?Parking: Saw a sign that said parking in back. Didn't use but it's an option in case street is full.“
“I’ve had several dishes from both the SE Division in Portland and the South Lake Union location in Seattle. Both offer consistently great food.I highly recommend the Drunken Noodle. Wide rice noodle with baby corn, onion, bell pepper, tomatoes, carrots, mushrooms, and Thai basil in a garlic sauce. Delicious ?From my experience they tend to go spicier than I am accustomed to. Be forewarned.“
“CLOSED at this location. Went there today for a lunch date and new restaurant signage is in the window.I Love Blossoming Lotus. Their mindful, healthy TASTY vegan menu options have been a go-to for many years. Sad to see this longstanding spot go. ?“
“I've been here a couple times, both takeout and dine in. I'm vegan, so all of the food I had was from the vegan menu. I really appreciate that it has a different section on the menu because it makes finding what I can have a lot easier, without having to customize any of it. Takeout: When I came for takeout, the waiter still offered me water and a table which was very nice. The wait was not long at all and all of the food was hot and delicious. I liked the decor and it kept me occupied during my pretty short wait Dine in: I loved the plating of the food, and there's some cool tables here. We sat at a normal booth but they have one right next to a big window and it looked cozy. They also have outdoor seating but it's still cold outside so I haven't experienced that yet. I got a thai green tea which I'd never had and was in love with it. Pricing: Main dishes were around 15-20, my sides were like ~10, the green tea was 6.50 I wouldn't say it's competitive, but I don't think the prices are offensive either. Please don't forget to tip“
“Amazing variety of vegan Chinese American comfort food! So many choices and everything we ordered existed on a spectrum between "really good" and "mouthwateringly delicious".The Veggie Five Flavor Bean Curd was our favorite appetizer, we also really enjoyed the Veggie Chicken With Sweet Corn Soup and the General Tso's Chicken.“
“Best lunch in Portland. Best for you, best price. You cannot beat this simple bowl ?Vegetarian options: 100 vegetarian, and easy to make vegan!Dietary restrictions: Vegetarian / veganParking: Secret Street parking. Or you can sneak over from seven eleven if it isn't too fullKid-friendliness: Kids love this place. And it is cheap and simple and packs wellWheelchair accessibility: Food cart“
“After reading rave reviews, I thought I'd give DC Veg a shot. Overall, very pleased! Got two sandwiches: The Cajun Po Boy and the Cheese Steak (or Steak and Cheese).1. The Cajun Po Boy was good! Not as spicy as I was hoping but the best thing about DC Veg's sandwiches is that they are FULL...packed! The $15 price tag was a big jarring until you see the size of the serving. The bread was great and overall a terrific sandwich. Being a nearly lifelong vegetarian, it's nice to find a "meaty" sandwich that's not just veggies.2. The Cheese Steak sandwich was not my taste. Great for those that like it, but just not for me.I'm excited to try other types in the future but may just stick with the Cajun Po Boy since it was a solid choice.“
“House curry! Wow. Green curry... your not going to want to miss this.Authentic Thai food that will you can't miss. This is real Thai food like what you get in Thailand.Well done to the team, you deserve your 5 star reviews.Nice heaters under the tent for dine in.“
“This taco shop has some really tasty food. It's one of the few authentic Mexican restaurants that serve or have serious vegetarian options. It's not every Mexican restaurant (or any but this one) that serve chipotle tempeh burritos etc. They also do soy curls, and tofu. And also meats. Best of both worlds. They have a nice set of picnic tables out front and a few tables inside, and nice bike parking. I also really like their chips. It reminds me of chips from Chi-Chi's back in the 80s and 90s. Chi-Chis made everything from scratch in House. Can you imagine a chain these days doing that. El Nutri taco does it. Love them. ❤️Vegetarian options: They serve tofu, tempeh, and soy curls. Possibly other items I've forgotten.“
“Came here with a group from a conference nearby and had an amazing meal with excellent wine selections and recommendations. We knew in advance that our fixed menu would be $95/pp plus wine. We had a delicious meal and would happily return on our next visit to Portland!Highly recommend the focaccia (the butter is to die for) and the rabbit. Thank you for an excellent evening!“
“Great food, big portions, and hip/classy, plant-filled decor. Annoying that it’s counter service but they don’t have a coffee station with sugar, creamer, and utensils - you have to ask for everything and they only have non dairy milks for creamer. Which is especially unfortunate given how bitter the coffee is.“
“Take a trip to India at this hidden little treasure on Hawthorne Blvd.! This family-owned restaurant features an all vegan & vegetarian menu. You’ll find all the warm spices and homey flavors of India at Maruti’s! Everything on the carefully crafted menu is delicious and will leave you craving more. You will return here again and again. It is highly likely that this restaurant will become one of your favorite places in town to get Tikka, Channa and Naan from their tandoori oven! (pssst…they even have gluten-free Naan!). Additionally, they have homemade chai, smooth and creamy lassi’s, a quality wine list and feature a full bar where they have created some amazing and unforgettable cocktails!“
“I'm generally not someone who wants to have a meal without meat in it. Whole bowl had the shortest line when I dropped by the pod one day, and I decided to give it a shot. I've been hooked ever since. This is a weekly stop for me. Great food, healthy, and a good price, what's not to like? The person who runs the cart is really nice and friendly as well.“
“YUMMMM! Had the Japanese Garden bowl delivered for lunch today, and OMG my eyes & mouth were both in heaven. I'm so happy to have discovered this gem, and thrilled that they have a delivery option too. This is definitely my new favorite go to!“
“This place is an ABSOLUTE TREASURE!! The banh mi is some of the tastiest I’ve ever had at the best price I’ve ever seen. Phuoc, the nun who runs the cart, speaks very little english but is the sweetest person in the world. She takes her time making each dish one by one and while you’re waiting you can sit or walk around the beautiful temple that the cart is connected to. Whether you’re vegan or not, I highly recommend making this spot a regular visit!!“
“Hands down the best vegan pizza I have ever had. Sizzler’s vegan pizza is just really crust, tomato sauce and toppings. Most places can’t get the cheese right. This place does the vegan cheese so well - the texture (the stretchiness and the chewiness) of the cheese is just like dairy cheese. After turning vegan, I had the rare craving for pizza (not meat really) and this place is perfect for that. The ice cream was also excellent.“
“Original dishes, fast service, nice ambient, quiet restaurant. The best dish was the chick’n tikka masala. I really liked the sauce on the samosas, but they were not traditional samosas. A lot of the dishes were creative and required an open mind. The lentil kofta was essentially lentil falafel with veggies. The naan was not necessary, since the dishes had rice and it was really more like pita bread with seeds. Which is a shame, as you never see vegan naan anywhere. The dessert was okay. The texture was a bit off to us, but the blueberry compote was nice and very generous on the blueberries.Overall, the dinner was okay. If I did it again, I wouldn’t come in with high expectations my first time and I’d be open to the dishes being different than what they traditionally are. The food is good and original, the service is fast, the prices are reasonable, and the restaurant is nice and quiet for a dinner.“
“The staff person at this location was really friendly, and cool about our custom requests for how we wanted the bowl made. No where to sit in here but I always take my bowls to go anyway. Whole Bowl is my go-to fast, healthy, tasty meal when I need something quick to take to class or work.“
“Veggie Grill has an extensive menu of delicious vegetarian and vegan items. Their fake meat products taste amazing, and you can try everything from unique burgers to nutritious and satisfying salads. Our service was a bit slow, and they seemed to be understaffed which was unfortunate. Because of this, the cleaning of the restaurant and tables could be better. Their lemonade is fantastic!“
“If you find yourself at El Nutri Taco, at least on Woodstock, you're probably not there for the atmosphere. That said, it has some outside seating for the summer months and nice days. As for the food, I'm not going to point Mexicanos there saying that la comida es la más auténtica. The meat burritos are decent, on par for "Mexican," Tex-Mex, Chicano food in Portland. The tacos are decent too. However, what El Nutri Taco has over other taquerías in the area is the vegetarian and vegan options, and these options are pretty diverse and tasty, so if you got some vegan friends and you all want to eat at the same place, I would definitely recommend El Nutri Taco.Vegetarian options: Check out the menu, but a lot of the burritos - unless otherwise specified- are vegetarian by default and you can add a meat choice to them.“
“Make a reservation! We went in a Friday night and it was only one server (possibly an owner). We were a group of 7 and she was appreciative that we had called a few days ahead. She scolded a group of 5 who had not made a reservation who arrived with us at opening. We shared two large plates (chef's choice) and everything was super yummy! We want to go back. Being cash because she was too busy to write up a bill and we had to chase her down and add it up ourselves in the end. ;). The furnishings are a bit run down but it didn't detract from the experience. Street parking onlyVegetarian options: Lots of vegetarian options.“
“We came here because we are gluten free. My kids ordered grilled cheese and I was nervous about whether they would like the vegan cheese but it was awesome. Neither of my cheese lovers knew it wasn’t regular dairy cheese. We also got the tomato soup, avocado bagel, two juices and a smoothie and it was ALL amazing.Definitely worth the trip for a healthy, filling lunch or breakfast and EVERYTHING is gluten free.Dietary restrictions: This is a celiac friendly restaurant. Everything is gluten free and vegetarian. Lots of vegan options as well.“
“We had our new year's dinner here. I had to reserve through the OpenTable to make sure we get seats. The food was delicious. The service was very slow though, we waited for our food for almost 30mins. The quantity of the food was also questionable from the price point. The location is good but not sure if we will be going again.“
“For me, the test of a good Mexican food establishment is their carnitas. The carnitas street taco here is one of the best I've had in Portland. Crispy carnitas with really good flavor on soft fresh corn tortillas... ? delicious ? Their salsa verde was also really good.“
“Incredible!!! I got the birria tacos and they were just fantastic. Piping hot, great mix of textures and flavors, and a great portion size. Thank you! Can't wait to eat here again!Vegetarian options: Delicious vegetarian options and many of them are vegan, or can be made vegan!“
