“Warning! Feral's delicious food may convert you to veganism. My husband and I are not vegan, or even vegetarian, but we have dined at Feral three times in the past couple of months. We used to walk right past, not realizing that plant-based cuisine could truly be as or more flavorful and satisfying than dishes using animal products. I also like that they change up their menu, which will encourage us to keep coming back to see what they are up to. The folks in the kitchen really know what they are doing; I wish they would publish a cookbook! Some outstanding dishes we have tried: focaccia with tomatoes (best we have had) summer squash fettucini, cavatelli with eggplant, little gem salad, cucumber tostada, and a ravioli type dish with a yummy French green sauce. The cocktails and service are also great. I highly recommend Feral to all hungry diners, vegan or not.“

“I went to this place for me and my partners anniversary. I have never been and neither had he. The experience was top notch! I came in and the waiter said he was going to change my life and he did just that. I also had a gift card that had a generous balance and I was so impressed with the service and food that I was embarrassed to use it so I paid out of my own pocket. Best tapas in Portland hands down! My partner usually is the one who picks places because I’m bad at it and he was also incredibly impressed with me and my choice to try Urdaneta!“

“It was delicious!!! Rabbit, foie gras, pigs feet, escargot, halibut, eel, scallops, all the fancy sauces….SOOO good!! Every bite was just perfectly executed. The staff was so friendly and engaging which made it really fun to sit at the chef’s counter!“

“I have been to this wonderful spot a million times but stayed in my comfort zone of the tacos. I've literally had them all, even the burrito, and burrito bowls. However, something told me that comfort and change can't sit together so I decided to try something new tonight. I tried the scrumptious pulled Jack sandwich, which came with heaping sides of Mac and cheese, and greens. I also got my 6 yr old the tamales. Before I noticed he scarfed down his tamales and was asking for a bite of mine. I was only able to try a single bite of his and man oh man I wanted another one just for myself lol... Here we both are now both stuffed to the max but of course, what a good dinner with a great dessert. We are eating the yum yum yummmaaay blackberry peach cobbler... If you ain't been here, get here, and if you have, try something different next time, I bet you'll love it better or just the same as your favorite.

To top it all off she is such a majestic being, very social( I mean we all have our days right?) and down to earth, and her love language is servitude!!!

“Twice now I’ve eaten at Ox. I came back for the Clam Chowder with Smoked Bone Marrow as it left such a lasting impression. This time, we tried the Skirt Steak with the Radicchio & Romaine Salad. It was a 10/10! Most excellent meal. We also sat at the grille where all the steaks and chops were being prepared, and we loved feeling part of the process. Can't wait to bring family!“

“February 8th, 2026 menu & service was absolutely divine! Start to finish service and all staff present were absolutely charming and very attentive. Presentation was beautiful, the atmosphere felt very warm, cozy and inviting. Plates were absolutely stunning in all ways. The textures in each dish were just so perfect, exciting and unique. The flavors complimented each other so well and each course was perfectly balanced, flowing nicely into the next. Everything was absolutely perfect, the thrill of enjoying such technical yet plant based preperations genuinly brings tears of joy. Thank you so for so perfectly encapsulating the possibilities of plant based foods! 💚💚 We were happy to hear about the recipes staying and going from the menu, we couldn't agree more with the choices. The Kombucha pairings were magical. Meadowland was perfect. The respect payed to plants here, the absolutely mind blowing creativity that leaves you craving more, makes Astera stand out as a historical evolution for plant based flavor, technical creativity, creation, service and passion in the plant based realm in the U.S. Astera is heaven on earth.
