“My family and I stumbled upon The Chomp while visiting SE Portland. We intended to eat on the opposite side of the train tracks, but, alas, we got stuck behind the train… However, we’re glad we did or else we wouldn’t have found this amazing restaurant! We were immediately greeted by the owner who served us. We ordered the crispy pork belly w/ rice, cashew nut chicken w/ rice, and mango sticky rice. Absolutely no notes! Everything was authentic, fresh, and cooked so well! It’s easy to overcook pork belly, but this was very tender and juicy with a nice crunch on the outside. The cashew nut chicken was also very flavorful and hearty. For dessert, get the mango sticky rice served with warm pandan rice and crunchy crispies! Each dish was like a hug in a bowl. The atmosphere of the restaurant is also memorable — reminiscent of a retro diner that just so happens to be impeccably clean! The owner was very kind and gracious, which added to the warm and calm atmosphere of the restaurant. My family and I loved everything and can’t wait to be back!“

“I was in Portland for cancer treatment and had to have a special diet. I could only drink broth. I went to Thai Seasons to ask for their help, because I trust the ingredients they put in their food. They were so kind to me and prepared a Tom Ka broth and a chicken broth for me. These broths were perfect, nourishing, and delicious. I know it comes from trying to not upset the less than heat tolerant palette of many a portlander, but the food quality diminishes when a dish supposed to be spicy is served not hot at all. I got the papaya salad and there was not a single chili in it, despite requesting it to be spicy. Papaya salad is supposed to be a challenge to eat! There is so much flavor in the chilis. The salad was just sweet and sour, missing the entire point of a papaya salad. I can see making it without chili if your customer requests it not spicy, but please dont assume we cannot handle the heat especially when we specifically request it to be very hot“

“Mum Thai has some of the best Asian food I've had! The chicken katsu curry is delicious, the sides can make a meal of themselves, and the owners are on top of the game. I've never had to wait more than 10-15 minutes(with a long line) and its always hot and fresh. This is a regular for my husband and I, you NEED to try it out!“

“There are so many Thai restaurants in Portland, but Sanae Thai stands out! The food is delicious and the service is quick and friendly. We got the Thai Tea flight and the Rainbow flight which were super tasty and fun to taste and compare the various teas and coffees. I got the Crispy Chicken Krapow which is now my favorite Thai dish. They weren't doing brunch at the time, but they let my wife order the Thai Cheesy Potato which was super tasty! All in all a very enjoyable and tasty experience!“

“Here’s some reasons why this is the best Thai in Portland. The people are incredible. They care about their customers and make you feel like a friend. I haven’t gone through their entire menu, but the Pad Kee Mao is one of the best I’ve ever had in my life and I eat A LOT of Thai food. They’re open till 3 AM At least when I was there the wait time to get your food was very short. After going I’m not surprised that they’ve been there for 15 years. I hope they’re there forever.“
